Job Title: Freelance Facilitator

Reporting to: Senior Programme Lead

Location: Staffordshire, in particular Stafford and surrounding area

Salary: £120 per day (including travel) plus £25 to attend meetings with a school (if required) and £50 for attending half day training or £100 for full day training. Expenses can also be claimed for programme snacks and travel to training.

One-year contracts might also be available.

 

Power2 is a fast growing and energetic children and young people’s charity that has supported 27,000 young people since 2001.  We are based in the North West of England and London and deliver early-intervention asset-based programmes to children and young people who have mental wellbeing challenges and are disengaged from school and more widely. We are well-known for our accredited Teens and Toddlers programme.

We are seeking Freelance Programme Facilitators to join a pool to deliver our programmes in Staffordshire. Supported by our Programme Development Manager with training and resources you will help children and young people who are experiencing vulnerabilities and disadvantages improve their wellbeing, re-engage with school and learning, build networks and access opportunities.

Programme Facilitators work with significant autonomy and authority. They must embrace responsibility and are accountable for their work. They work collaboratively alongside young people, operating as a mentor as they empower young people to develop self-esteem, become resilient and engage with school and their own future. They give each young person the time, the confidence and skills to engage with their education.

You will work in schools and community settings to support young people and their families to ensure that at-risk children and young people make the most of their potential and improve their life chances. Work will include 1:1 support and delivery of Power2’s core programmes.

The verger team is at the heart of Cathedral life – making sure the main Cathedral building is presented in the best way at all times and that the Chapter House and other buildings are prepared for use to a high standard. The broad range of services and events held at Chelmsford Cathedral require accurate planning, teamwork and communication.

Stamina and energy are therefore essential, sometimes at unsociable hours; this is very much a ‘hands on’ role. Vergers participate fully in the worshipping life of the Cathedral, they take responsibility for the day-to-day preparation of the Cathedral’s regular and special services, as well as playing an important part within them.

This role is essential to the smooth running of the many different activities held at Chelmsford Cathedral. A Verger’s presence, demeanour and presentation style reflects the welcome and hospitality the Cathedral chapter wish to offer to everyone who visits, whether they come for worship, for an event, or to view the building.

We are seeking a full-time Supporter Engagement Coordinator to join our team. You will be a key point of contact for our audience and supporters, helping to deliver excellent customer service and ensure outstanding supporter care. The role involves overseeing audience engagement, coordinating communications and special events—including evening lectures—and maintaining accurate data to support our fundraising and engagement activities. Key duties and responsibilities:

Audience Engagement

• Deliver exceptional customer care, ensuring all supporters and donors are thanked promptly—whatever the channel.

• Work with the Head of Fundraising and Engagement and the wider team to deliver supporter journeys, making recommendations for improvements and changes.

• Respond swiftly and professionally to all audience and supporter enquiries by phone, email, and post.

• Proactively share audience feedback with relevant teams.

• Handle any complaints, liaising with the complainant and the relevant member of staff to achieve a resolution, following the complaints process.

• Maintain Eventbrite with lecture details and engagement information.

• To act as Duty Manager for evening lectures when required.

• Provide support to the wider Gresham College team by attending lectures and special events.

CRM Administration

• Serve as primary contact for database management, ensuring data accuracy to drive fundraising and engagement.

• Coordinate data selections, mailings, invitations, and content fulfilment.

• Regularly import, export, and merge data from online giving and ticketing platforms.

• Track and report performance against targets and KPIs for the Head of Fundraising & Engagement.

• Ensure best practice is followed, complying with current legislation and internal policies in relation to data protection, GDPR and gift aid processing and ensure that all activity is carried out in a legal and compliant way.

Hall Hire and Event Co-ordination

• Be the first point of contact for hall hire enquiries and manage all related admin.

• Oversee stocks, supplies, and space organisation for events.

• Lead setup and breakdown for lectures and venue lettings.

• Arrange and manage bookings for external event venues, handling all logistics.

• Organise catering for special events and meetings both at Barnard’s Inn and other venues.

• Be responsible for excellent customer care of existing and new venue hire clients.

• Organise all activity around venue hire events, including collaborating with the AV team

• Liaise and support the Head of Fundraising & Engagement over the promotion of Barnards’ Inn to increase income generation from lettings.

Other

• Working with volunteers to enable them to assist in the delivery of tasks as appropriate.

• Attend and contribute to team and staff meetings as required.

• Participate in ongoing training and development.

• Undertake other tasks as required to support the College.

Person specification:

Essential Skills & Experience

• Customer Service Excellence: Proven experience delivering high-quality customer care, ideally in a fundraising, or educational setting. Ability to handle enquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
• CRM and Data Management: Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (we use Beacon) including data entry, segmentation, and reporting. Experience with data imports/exports and maintaining data accuracy.
• Event Coordination: Experience planning and delivering events, including logistics, venue liaison, catering, and AV coordination. Comfortable acting as Duty Manager and supporting evening lectures and events.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage supporters, respond to enquiries, and write engaging responses.
• Digital Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Eventbrite, and online giving platforms. Comfortable using digital tools to manage bookings, communications, and supporter journeys.
• Organisational Skills: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively across departments and with volunteers. Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience in a fundraising or engagement role within a charity, or educational organisation.

The role

This is a pivotal new role designed to increase the Board’s operational effectiveness, unlock external relationships, and strengthen communication between Trustees and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

Responsibilities include:

· Support the Chair by ensuring Trustees’ skills are mapped and kept up to date to ensure that Trustees are contributing efficiently and meaningfully to delivering Scope’s strategy.

· Coordinate introductions and referrals from Trustees to key partners and potential ambassadors, work with teams to ensure leads are followed up thoughtfully. Maintain a confidential log tracking these important relationships.

· Work with the governance team to track actions and ideas from Board and committee meetings, keep Trustees updated on progress, and arrange interim calls or working groups as needed.

How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

Our assessments are undertaken face-to-face and applicants should be able to travel across the regions listed above for visits to prospective foster carers. 

Key Duties for Form F Assessors include:

• To undertake and complete Form F assessments in the timescale set out in our policy and guidance.
• To visit personal referees as identified on application form for prospective foster carers.
• To ensure that all checks and references are undertaken and completed.
• To provide to the supervisor, regular written updates of the draft assessment.
• To liaise with our administrative team concerning the progress of administrative checks and completion of the Form F.
• To be available for supervision, consultation or liaison as required.
• To be available to present completed Form Fs to the virtual fostering panel and provide support to the applicants through this process.
• To be aware of our child protection procedures and immediately report any child protection matter or concerns to a TACT manager and any relevant placing authority and the area authority.
• To carry out the duties in line with our Foster Carer and Supervising Social Worker Standards and Practice Guidance.

Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors

• We will pay £2250 (inclusive of VAT) + up to £500 bonus payments (if criteria are met) upon submission of a successfully completed Form F Assessment.
• £37.50 per hour for assessments which are not completed, and any other piece of work.

You will be DipSW, CSS or CQSW qualified and registered with the relevant regulatory body (Social Work England).

An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role and will be undertaken  by TACT on your behalf.

About the role

Carers UK’s Income Generation and Communication team is responsible for the organisation’s income stream. You will be a self-starter, with account management and sales experience, who will assist the team to develop, deliver and grow its earned income activities. You will carry out prospects research to support new business development, while building relationships through active client engagement. You will receive relevant training, guidance and coaching.

As a Procurement Assistant within our Finance & Assurance directorate, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's transforming how we deliver financial partnership across the organisation. This is where you'll build your procurement expertise while making meaningful impact, where your support enables our procurement team to focus on what matters most: transforming lives affected by dementia.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their procurement career or looking to move into the field. You'll be the person who supports Procurement Officers and Business Partners to deliver their work across the Society. From major strategic projects to day-to-day operational needs. You'll handle a broad remit of work, from keeping records organised and gathering data that spots efficiency opportunities, to helping design how we communicate with colleagues across the organisation. It's a role that gives you genuine insight into procurement in action at a major charity, building knowledge and experience that will set you up for future success.

You'll also collaborate closely with other Assistants and Trainees across Finance & Assurance, bringing fresh thinking about how we can work together more seamlessly and support colleagues even better.

The Apprenticeship Opportunity

This apprenticeship offers:

Apprenticeship Eligibility Requirements

- Have lived in England for the last 3 years.
- Be aged 16 or above (there is no upper age limit).
- Spend more than 50% of your time working in England.
- Not hold a higher qualification in the same subject area as the apprenticeship.

About you:
You're someone who's organised, eager to learn, and excited about building a career in procurement. You understand that great support work isn't just about completing tasks. It's about being proactive, spotting opportunities to improve processes, and helping teams work more effectively. You're comfortable with data and administration, and you're keen to understand the bigger picture of how procurement drives value.

You'll have:

- Good organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage records, files and documentation accurately.
- Good numerical and analytical abilities, comfortable working with data to support reporting and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Effective communication skills, able to engage with colleagues at different levels and help them navigate procurement processes.
- Enthusiasm for learning and development, with a genuine interest in building procurement knowledge and expertise over time.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, taking initiative while also thriving as part of a team.
- Proficiency with standard IT systems and a willingness to learn finance or procurement software (existing experience with finance systems would be beneficial but not essential).

What you’ll focus on:

- Supporting Procurement Officers and Business Partners to deliver high-quality contract management and advice to colleagues across the Society, with a focus on driving efficiencies.
- Managing procurement records, files and documentation with accuracy and care, ensuring information is accessible and well-organised.
- Providing administrative support to the procurement team and wider directorate, including scheduling and minuting meetings.
- Gathering and analysing procurement data to help identify efficiency opportunities and support senior colleagues with recommendations.
- Helping colleagues across the Society navigate and understand our procurement processes through creative engagement approaches.
- Working collaboratively with other Assistants and Trainees across Finance & Assurance to address duplication, streamline administration, and improve how we support the Society.

 About The Role:

Working closely with finance team colleagues, you will be an important part of the external ‘face’ of Finance, responsible for building relationships with and providing support to budget holders so that they can effectively fulfil their financial management responsibilities.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor—translating financial information into meaningful insight and advice that drives performance and value for money.

As the Finance Business Partner, you will (Key Responsibilities):

• Provide financial support, advice and guidance to budget holders, enabling them to understand their financial responsibilities, improve reporting processes and make datadriven decisions.
• Support budget holders with the provision of accurate and reliable budgeting and forecasting information and review of the financial data held in the reporting system.

Dementia Concern is a long-established local charity providing life changing care and support to people living with dementia and their families across West London.

We’re looking for a Head of Fundraising, someone who can design, develop and deliver our fundraising stratergy. Someone who can innovate and who can combine stratergy, can lean in and has energy to connect with people, and who sees potential everywhere. If you’re motivated by the challenge of shaping something lasting and meaningful, this role offers the chance to make a visible difference, both to the charity and to the lives of people living with dementia.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have both the freedom and responsibility to build a thriving, sustainable fundraising function, securing income initially from trusts and foundations and then corporates, philanthropists, individuals, and community supporters.

You will play a key hands-on role, supported by a fundraiser, volunteers, and an experienced and engaged CEO and Board.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Leadership

• Develop and deliver a clear fundraising strategy that diversifies income and builds long-term sustainability.
• Inspire a culture of fundraising across the organisation, empowering staff, volunteers, and trustees to become confident advocates and ambassadors.
• Use the compelling stories of our frontline team and clients to engage, motivate, and retain supporters.

Trusts, Foundations and Corporate Giving

• Lead the development of high-quality, strategic funding applications to trusts, foundations, and corporate partners (typically £20k+).
• Build and manage a sustainable pipeline of prospects, ensuring timely applications and stewardship.
• Line-manage and mentor the newly appointed Trust Fundraiser, supporting their development and success.

Individual Giving and Appeals

• Refresh and strengthen Dementia Concern’s case for support, ensuring a consistent, powerful message across all audiences.
• Design and deliver the charity’s first major appeals — including digital campaigns, local community drives, and postal appeals — to attract and retain individual donors.
• Develop engaging donor journeys and opportunities for people to give regularly, locally, and meaningfully.

Community and Partnership Development

• Reconnect Dementia Concern with its local community through relationship-building, events, and partnerships.
• Represent the charity externally with warmth and confidence, growing our network of local supporters, volunteers, and champions.
• Work closely with the CEO and Trustees to build mutually beneficial partnerships with local businesses, groups, and influencers.
• Oversee the charity’s website and digital presence, ensuring our communications are clear, inspiring, and supporter focussed.
• Lead on campaigns and public relations that raise awareness of dementia and the charity’s impact in West London.

About you:

You will have experience in:

• Trust Fundraising and at least one of the following: corporate partnerships, individual giving, or community fundraising.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver successful fundraising strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to craft compelling cases for support and inspire others.
• A collaborative, ‘hands-on’ approach comfortable working in a small, dedicated team.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Passion for dementia care and improving the lives of older people and their carers.
• Experience of working in a local or regional charity setting.
