Purpose of the Role

To lead on the recruitment, development, training, and well-being of a team of volunteers who deliver vital Home-Start support to families. The role involves managing a caseload of volunteers and supporting families directly where appropriate. Over the course of the year, an average of one day per week will be dedicated to leading volunteering strategy and practice, with the remainder focused on family support delivery.

Key Responsibilities. As Volunteer Lead Co-ordinator you will:

• Carry out initial home-visits and support families to set and monitor goals
• Match volunteers with families according to need and capacity
• Supervise an appropriate caseload of volunteers and enable them to support families
• Monitor safeguarding concerns and liaise with the Operations Manager/Director as needed
• Lead volunteer recruitment to grow and sustain HSH’s diverse pool of volunteers
• Create marketing materials (flyers, social media, newsletter content) in collaboration with Communications and Campaigns Coordinator (CCC
• Oversee and co-ordinate the delivery of Volunteer Preparation Courses
• Organise / deliver a programme of training sessions for current volunteers
• Lead on annual volunteer social events and develop ongoing opportunities for volunteer recognition and reward

The Role

Working as part of a small but ambitious team, you will support fundraising and donor research for Right to Succeed, a fast-growing national charity delivering place-based and educational change in disadvantaged communities.

This role will see you:

• Undertake in-depth prospect donor research, using tools such as Funds Online, GrantNav 360 Giving, and CRM systems.
• Produce research briefings and present findings to support fundraising strategy.
• Provide high-quality administrative support, including meeting coordination, thank you letters, and CRM updates.
• Support the delivery of fundraising events and donor visits.
• Contribute to the writing of funding applications, bids, and monitoring reports.

Horatio’s Garden is a nationwide charity creating and nurturing beautifully designed gardens in NHS spinal injury centres. We are seeking two creative, dynamic people with warm and welcoming personalities for the roles of Patient Support Coordinator, one for each of the following locations:

• Horatio's Garden Midlands, The Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries
• Horatio’s Garden Scotland, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

You will be responsible for organising and running a range of social and creative activities for people with spinal injuries and their families and friends to enjoy during the week and at weekends, creating an uplifting, friendly atmosphere in Horatio’s Garden and garden room.

Currently the programme includes crafts, quizzes, glass fusing workshops, felting, printing, talks, painting, ceramic workshops, seasonal celebrations with lunches, baking, live music performances and social afternoons. 

You will need to be a highly organised person who is confident working independently in the garden and via Teams with the Events Programme Manager, Evie Redwood. The role is part-time, 10.5 hours a week, consisting of one weekend afternoon (approx. 4 hours), a weekday afternoon workshop (approx. 3.5 hours) and 3 hours of admin time a week. You will need to be flexible with your availability, working when patients are available – this can vary. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-driven, proactive individual who is efficient, well-organised and has an outgoing personality. You will need to be adaptable and happy working with a wide range of stakeholders including people with spinal injuries and their families, NHS staff, volunteers and many different teams within the charity.

Key responsibilities for the role of Patient Support Coordinator include:

· Creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, encouraging people with spinal injuries and their families to engage in the Events Programme that is organised in the garden.

· Asking patients what activities they would like to do.

· Working virtually with the Events Programme team to plan activities that reflect patients’ requests.

· Going into the wards to help patients to come out to the garden and garden room in hospital beds or wheelchairs. You will have training for this.

· Hosting creative workshops in the garden, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.

· Running arts and craft sessions yourself, organising social activities and writing quizzes so a creative flair is essential.

· Booking high-quality speakers, entertainers and freelance creative people to run sessions.

· Working alongside session facilitators to support them. 

· Coordinating catering arrangements and serving food and drinks.

· Making posters and updating blackboards to promote activities, as well as   advertising the sessions via word of  mouth.

· Building relationships with NHS teams in the spinal unit.

· Handling the administrative side of the role, including risk assessments, ordering materials and budget-monitoring.

· Collecting feedback from patients, their visitors and NHS staff during and after the sessions.

Role Overview:

You will play a pivotal role in promoting the health and wellbeing of carers in the Harrogate & Selby Districts, promoting key health messages to carers through a variety of mediums including one to one, group settings and social media.  You will facilitate sessions focussed on supporting carers to access resources to maintain their own health and wellbeing and enable them to sustain their caring role, as well as providing some personalised support to individual carers conducting wellbeing reviews to identify required actions. We are seeking a Funding Officer to join our passionate and friendly team in Northern Ireland.

This permanent position is part of our Southern Team, which covers the following Council areas: Ards and North Down, Mid Ulster, Newry Mourne and Down and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon. Led by a Funding Manager and supported by four other Funding Officers, you will be responsible for the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon areas while also working flexibly across the wider local team to help meet the demands of our funding programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team delivering over £30m annually to support communities and create real impact across Northern Ireland

Based primarily in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon areas, you will work from home and within local community settings. The role will also require travel to our Belfast office (around once every couple of weeks) as well as occasional visits to other parts of the Southern team area.

This is a varied and rewarding role and involves assessing funding applications across our programmes, managing grants and monitoring progress and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will use your local knowledge and experience to help ensure funding is directed where it can make the greatest difference to places, people and communities who experience poverty, disadvantage and discrimination. 

Key responsibilities may include:

• Assessing funding applications across our programmes
• Managing your own caseload of grants, including liaising with grant holders, visiting projects, identifying and managing risks, and supporting organisations to deliver and evaluate their work.
• Understanding and responding to the different needs of communities, applicants and grant holders
• Providing constructive advice and feedback, supporting applicants while being confident to have challenging conversations where needed
• Representing the Fund by engaging with key stakeholders, including applicants, support agencies, Council staff, and by attending funding fairs and external meetings.
• Sharing learning from your conversations, events, project visits, reports and evaluations to help maximize our impact as a grant maker.

You may come from a voluntary sector background - many of our colleagues do- but we are also very open to transferable skills from other sectors. What matters most is your ability to build relationships, use sound judgement and support communities to thrive.

Fundraising Lead

Salary: 47,000 to 57,000 dependent on experience

• Seeking out new high value funders who share a passion for ensuring young people, wherever they are, have the access, skills, and knowledge in STEM to thrive.
• Building their own new business pipeline, as well as developing and closing 5, 6 and 7 figure partnerships with major companies.
• Responsible for the entire new business process, from seeking out new potential partners via our networks, or through research, to developing compelling proposals and pitches and closing deals.
• A strong networker and relationship builder, driven by targets and results.
• Capable of working closely with the account management team and other internal stakeholders, and adept at keeping accurate records to enable effective handover and forecasting.

STEM Learning is looking for a candidate with high value fundraising experience, particular in corporate fundraising. Some experience of major donor fundraising would be beneficial as we look to build a philanthropy programme.

• Demonstrable experience of winning 5 and 6 figure partnerships with major blue chip companies.
• A strong understanding of current CSR and sustainability trends and issues and how that relates to charity partnerships.
• A mentality that is target driven and will be able to evidence a track record of hitting and achieving fundraising targets.
• Even if you do not have experience working in education or with young people, you are able to demonstrate a passion for the power of STEM and education to impact young peoples’ lives.

Philanthropy Officer

Salary range: £25,000-£28,000

The Edinburgh International Festival is looking for two Development Officers to help us present this unparalleled celebration of the performing arts, which brings some of the most exciting and creative artists working today to audiences from around the world. 

We are seeking two relationship-driven and detail-oriented people to join our Development team as our new Philanthropy and Partnerships Officers.

The Philanthropy Officer will deliver and grow the Festival’s successful membership schemes, nurture supporter relationships, deliver engaging fundraising events and strategic donor communications, and design and implement creative and revenue-generating appeals and  initiatives. With support from the Individual Giving Manager, you will work collaboratively across the Development team in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and creativity, as well as excellent time-management, communication and administrative skills.

We are also looking to recruit a Partnerships Officer who will join a team responsible for managing and growing relationships with corporate, international, and strategic partners. You will support the delivery of high-quality partnership management across all stages—from proposal development and reporting to stewardship and event coordination. You’ll also take ownership of a portfolio of entry-level partners and can build your skills through hands-on experience.

The Philanthropy and Partnerships team work closely together to maintain and expand our supporter base. We are looking for people who share our passion for the arts and commitment to excellent service to continue to grow Festival’s reach and impact.
