What the job involves

Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a programme of owned products, activities and events, in addition to third-party challenges. Alongside our two owned events, March for Men and the Grand Depart Classic, we also recruit teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

In this role, you’ll project manage a number of third-party events which take place across the UK, including our teams at the London Landmarks Half Marathon and the Royal Parks Half Marathon. You’ll also be tasked with identifying new opportunities across the UK in the charity events market.

Your responsibilities will span the full event cycle; from setting budgets and developing marketing plans, to building supporter communications, managing event logistics, providing on-the-day support, and overseeing remittance and thanking — ensuring we maximise income and deliver exceptional supporter experiences.

Alongside this, you’ll work with other teams within Prostate Cancer UK to support the full calendar of events and take the lead with supporting our volunteers at our events. Working with our Communications teams, you’ll ensure that we make the most of every opportunity, from promoting the events to warm and new audiences, identifying and building relationships with the strongest case studies, to ensuring a high proportion of event participants continue to support us long after they cross the finish line.

We’re looking for a dedicated person to join our established, experienced and high-performing Events and Community Fundraising team, that has ambitious plans to grow income to £16M+ by 2030. You’ll have experience working in a sporting events team with a background of assisting or leading with the delivery of large-scale events, covering aspects such as marketing, communications and event delivery. Ideally with a fundraising background to enable you to hit the ground running. You’ll also have excellent communication skills and can motivate and inspire for our cause. Strong organisational skills will be combined with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and work to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year fundraising strategy that encompasses diverse income streams, working collaboratively with senior leadership to coordinate efforts and maintain an up-to-date fundraising pipeline.

• Steward high-value relationships with trusts, foundations, and corporate partners while leading grant applications and proposals for six-figure funding opportunities.

• Strategically position Sister System for statutory funding by identifying government contract opportunities and ensuring the organisation remains competitive for local authority and national funding programmes.

• Oversee critical systems and processes including financial reporting, grant management cycles, board reporting, and line management duties while serving as an external ambassador for the organisation

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced community fundraiser who will play an instrumental role in our established as well as new fundraising events, community engagement, stewardship, increasing awareness of the Centre as well as income generation.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Engage, inspire and encourage supporters, schools, community groups and high street businesses fundraising on behalf of the charity, helping them to achieve their full potential by providing a positive supporter journey.

Reporting into Shelter’s Head of Digital (role currently vacant), this role oversees the work of our Digital Product Managers and Delivery Managers and sits within the Digital team alongside our front and back-end developers and QA testing capacity.

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Individual Giving Officer (Mid Value) for an international development charity that works with animals throughout Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

Reporting to the Supporter Development Manager, this role joins at an exciting time, looking to achieve growth, focusing on digital acquisition.  As part of this exciting role, you will develop committed warm cash and regular online giving supporters, increasing their engagement and income prospects.

This role offers the opportunity to create engaging stewardship material and actively encourage the development of donation relationships. Brooke requires a passionate individual who has excellent communication skills, the skill and knowledge to utilise regular giving and donations and who has a particular interest in animal and community welfare.

To be successful as the Individual Giving Officer (Mid Value), you will need:
 

• Experience of using a range of channels, including mail and email, with a strong understanding of optimising and tracking donations
• Experience developing and delivering mid-value giving programmes and activities
• A passion and knowledge of delivering high-quality supporter experience and supporter engagement development.

Content Marketing Officer

Team: Brand and Marketing (Policy and Communications Department) 
Organisation: Walk Wheel Cycle Trust 

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust has recently completed a full-scale rebrand, and this is an exciting opportunity to join us during a time of growth and transformation. You’ll be part of the Brand and Marketing team, working within the Policy and Communications department. 

As our new Content Marketing Officer, you’ll lead the charity’s content strategy. Your focus will be on storytelling and content creation across different platforms, helping us connect with new and diverse audiences. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

You’ll take ownership of how we communicate our impact through engaging content. This includes: 

• Planning and producing content for social media, websites, and other channels
• Overseeing the filming, editing, and commissioning of video content
• Supporting colleagues across the charity to create branded, accessible videos
• Collaborating with delivery teams and external agencies to produce high-quality content
• Working with the commercial team to develop materials for business-to-business marketing
• Acting as a brand guardian to ensure consistency and creativity in all content 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support the Senior Content Marketing Officer in managing the content delivery plan
• Develop and test new ideas to attract donors and volunteers
• Lead the production, editing, and promotion of video content
