This is a new and exciting role which you can out your stamp on. You'll help the charity run smoothly, support our Board of Trustees, coordinate meetings, manage key communications, provide day-to-day office management and ensure that strategic projects are delivered effectively. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to make a real difference through their work. In particular you'll:

• support our CEO with diary management, responding to incoming communications, preperation for events and managing managings
• manage payroll for both the charity and its trading subsidiary, Ignition Brewery
• provide administrative support to our Finance Manager
• coordinate our parent-carer forum, ensuring it is well supported
• support our Board of Trustees including coordinating all aspects of Board and Committee meetings, taking minutes and supporting with Trustee recruitment
• act as our Office Manager, overseeing the various administrative functions and support contracts we need to run smoothly
• assist with the implementation and management of projects across the Charity that support our mission and drive efficiency

As well as our Brighter Horizons team, you’ll also have a hand in supporting our trading subsidiary Ignition Brewery, making this a varied role, ideal for someone who likes to be involved in lots of things at the same time.

We’re a small team but growing and ambitious team, making the role really varied. Experience of administration is a must, preferably in a small charity setting. If you are a people person and are passionate about causes in your community, we want to hear from you.

Clinical Services Coordinator (Mental Health Talking Therapies) - Maternity Cover Contract

Evolve Counselling is looking for an efficient, qualified and experienced mental health counselling manager, to take charge of our service while the postholder takes maternity leave in January 2026. The post is: 

• Fully remote, part-time hours between 16-21 hours per week.

• Highly flexible arrangement of core working hours across 4/5 days each week.

Evolve provides a wide range of therapies to people experiencing mental health difficulties. We work with private individuals and organisational/ corporate clients (via employee wellbeing programmes) mainly through remote video calls but with a good deal of face-to-face work. We have over 45 BACP registered counsellors on our team and our mission is to deliver the lowest cost counselling to those who need it most. As a charity, our surpluses are reinvested to deliver this mission. 

Our ideal candidate for this temporary cover is a BACP registered member counsellor, with strong managerial and administrative skills and experience, confident at handling the working needs of a large remote team and delivering a detailed and personal service to our larger contract clients as well as private individuals. You’ll be working alongside an ambitious management team, aiming to perfect and grow our services. Good record keeping, communications skills and familiarity with confidential client record management systems are a must. 

The key aspects of the CSC job are to: 

• Be the first port of call for all clinical queries. 

• Arrange the efficient use of our CRM system that supports the clinical service. 

• Take overall responsibility for incoming referrals and allocations as well as ongoing management of clients and maintenance of any waiting lists to agreed parameters. 

• Monitor the balance between counsellor capacity and client demand. 

• Provide practical support and signposting to the counselling members, enabling their work.

Exciting opportunity for a charity sector Community Helpline Manager in Torbay

The Torbay Health and Wellbeing Voluntary Sector Network in Torbay is recruiting a full-time Manager to oversee the Torbay Community Helpline.

This post will be based in the local voluntary sector infrastructure organisation - Torbay Communities, hosts of the Community Helpline.  

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead this nationally recognised and acclaimed innovation. Torbay’s Community Helpline was established during the Covid pandemic and has since been developed by the local community into a central access point to the voluntary and community sector as a whole. Since 2021, it has also been the front door for new Adult Social Care referrals in the area through a unique partnership with the local statutory sector. Providing the best possible support to local residents the Helpline’s strapline ‘One Call – That’s All’ sums up the holistic approach. Individuals and families can access a wide range of support from food parcels to mental health support, help with isolation to debt advice etc. The Helpline links into over 100 voluntary sector organisations locally and into grassroots networks of residents offering support to each other. The Helpline has a strengths-based approach to its operations, with callers often helping others after they have received some support.

We are looking for someone who can lead this initiative into the next phase. Someone with the relevant experience who can identify the Helpline’s potential and - working with staff, volunteers, voluntary sector and statutory sector partners - deliver excellent support to our residents and develop the Helpline to meet future needs.

About the role

The Interim Facilities Manager will ensure the safe, compliant and efficient running of the Cathedral’s estate, including the Cathedral Church, Visitor Centre and associated buildings. A key focus during this period will be embedding improved systems, compliance processes and reporting frameworks, ensuring effective contractor oversight and operational consistency across all sites.

At Snowdrop Project, we support survivors of modern slavery to recover from their pasts and rebuild their futures. We were the first UK charity to offer long-term, community-based support for survivors—and today, we continue to lead the way in trauma-informed care, advocacy, and reintegration.  

Now, we are looking for a warm, adaptable Receptionist Administrator who can confidently handle a wide variety of tasks while being the welcoming face of the charity. 

What we do:  

We support survivors through personalised, one-to-one help from our amazing team of trained staff, volunteer caseworkers, and counsellors. We also connect people to local services, support networks, and community programmes, depending on what they need.  

Our team helps turn houses into homes by decorating, painting, and finding essential furniture for those moving into council-provided housing.  

We also share our knowledge through training and workshops with other charities, businesses, and organisations working in this field—helping to build a better understanding of trafficking and how to support survivors well.  

To keep our work going, we raise money through events, donations, and sponsorships. We also contribute to national research and working groups so that survivors’ voices are heard and included in future policies and practices.

About the Role: 

We’re looking for someone who is warm, approachable, and highly organised — someone who enjoys being the first point of contact and can represent the charity with professionalism and compassion.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable juggling a wide variety of tasks, staying calm under pressure, and adapting quickly to shifting priorities.

They’ll have excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Most importantly, they’ll be someone who takes pride in supporting others and shares our commitment to making a positive difference. 

What You’ll Be Doing:

This role is responsible for welcoming staff, clients, volunteers, tenants and visitors to Snowdrop by creating a safe and welcoming environment and supporting the wider team with administrative tasks. 

Reception Duties:  

This role is responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming, safe and friendly atmosphere for service users, visitors, volunteers and staff members. This role is responsible for maintaining front of house, welcoming visitors, clients and guests, answering enquiries over the phone, via email and in person. 

Facilities Duties 

Liaising with Facilities Manager and supporting with facilities duties such as scheduling and supporting with internal and external room bookings, coordinating scheduled works and ensuring access for maintenance and external contractors as required. 

Administrative Duties:  

This person will play a key role in administering certain financial duties and assisting the Head of Finance and Resource with their reporting duties, keeping the organisation running in a smooth and efficient manner. 

Support the Wider Snowdrop Team:  

To work with the team to coordinate excellent service delivery and support for volunteers and service users in line with the Mission, Vision and Values of the Snowdrop Project. This can include participating in team meetings, away days and supporting and promoting internal activities, creating content for internal and external activities as required.

The Trusts & Philanthropy Manager role is a vital part of this vision and your excellent writing skills and relationship building will help us achieve our ambitions and make a meaningful impact. 

Working closely within our passionate and results driven Trusts and

Philanthropy team, you will manage your own portfolio of charitable trusts and support the developing major donor and statutory funding relationships as required. You will be helping us beat macular disease by talking with funders and writing bespoke funding applications for support services, medical research and core costs. Diligently recording all relationship information and communications on our database.

We’re looking for an ambitious and experienced Senior PR Officer to help plan and deliver engaging internal and external communication campaigns to support the delivery of our charities' strategies and income goals. 

This is a hands-on role and requires the skills needed to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate should have a flair for storytelling with the ability deliver the charities' messages and demonstrate their impact though audience-specific content across traditional and social media channels, in written, video, graphic-led formats.
