The Bernard Sunley Foundation is a family grant making foundation which supports charities in England and Wales working to raise the quality of life and provide greater opportunities for the young, the elderly, the disabled and the disadvantaged.

About the role

The Grants Officer will join our small, hardworking, friendly team and will be responsible for overseeing the monthly grants programme. They will support the Director in collating the board papers for each of the three annual Trustees’ meetings. They will also be expected to help assess the large and medium grant applications that go through to the Trustees’ meetings. The new Grants Officer will be asked to visit charities and projects, which will entail travel across England and Wales. The new Grants Officer will also maintain the grants database, be responsible for updating the new website and be the first port of call for any grant application enquiries.

About you

This role would suit a range of candidates and we are open to candidates without direct grant making experience but the successful candidate will need a demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the grants world. We are particularly keen to hear from people who have energy, enthusiasm, good communication and relationship building skills and experience and confidence with databases. An understanding of how to read charity accounts would be a bonus but training will be provided for the chosen candidate. You will have an aptitude for working both independently and as part of a collaborative team and managing a varied and busy workload.

About the Role

As Media Lead you will be responsible for running the charity's busy press office and you will play a central role in shaping how Victim Support is seen and heard in the media. You'll write and deliver a strategic Media Plan that positions the charity as a trusted and recognised victims' voice, increases the profile of our services and contributes to influencing positive change.

This is a hands-on role where you'll manage media enquiries, build trusted relationships with journalists and ensure our spokespeople are briefed and supported for interviews. You'll work closely with colleagues across external affairs, social media and frontline services, and provide expert media advice to senior leaders. You'll also line manage our Stories Officer and oversee our Stories Library, giving a platform to victims' voices and experiences.

Experience in the health charity sector, public/patient engagement work, and working on the National Institute of Health Care Excellence (NICE) and Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) consultation processes would be beneficial but not essential.

About the role

As Senior Policy Officer you will be part of the Patient Advocacy team who work to ensure that the patient voice is heard and acted upon by UK and devolved nations healthcare policy decision makers. You will represent the charity externally including national meetings with senior healthcare decision makers.

Your role is vital to developing strategic approaches to health technology appraisals (HTA), regulatory pathways (MHRA), clinical development programmes (academic and industry clinical trials) and commissioning routes to broaden access to new myeloma drug therapies and diagnostic technologies.

You will apply your skills flexibly across key policy areas including access to treatment, patient voice, stakeholder engagement and general healthcare policy and work with colleagues in communications and fundraising to make sure our supporters and the wider myeloma community understand the positive impact we make.

Content creation and content management

• Working with the Senior Communications Manager, research, draft, and edit compelling content for the UK website, newsletters, and print materials.

• Collate and maintain a library of case studies, stories, and assets for use across teams.
• Ensure brand voice and tone are consistently applied across all communications.

Digital and organic social media

• Develop and maintain a social media content calendar which supports our Communications Strategy and liaise with our Social Media Freelancer to plan and approve posts.
• Contribute to the delivery of multi-channel campaigns, liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to create assets and meet deadlines.
• Assist with monitoring and reporting on content performance, identifying opportunities for growth and engagement.

Campaign coordination

• Support the planning and scheduling of communications campaigns like World Smile Day and advertising events like our annual carols concert.
• Manage feedback processes to ensure the timely delivery of content and materials.
• Act as the first point of contact for all content requests from across the organisation.

Administration and finance

• Collate quotes for expenditure and liaise with suppliers as required.
• Track invoices, ensuring coding is accurate and amounts match agreed quotes.
• Maintain organised systems for content workflows, approvals, and campaign schedules.

Monitoring and evaluation

• Gather engagement and performance metrics from all channels.
• Provide regular reports to the Senior Communications Manager.
• Suggest improvements to optimise performance and impact.

This role is central to how we evolve our volunteering offer. The Volunteering Development Lead is responsible for designing and working with other teams to pilot new models of volunteering that help us reach more people, increase flexibility, and create meaningful opportunities for individuals to contribute in ways that suit them.

Considerations:

• The Fundraising Team is small, working closely with other teams including Marketing, Enterprises and Curriculum, so flexibility in approach is a must.
• Some periods will be busier than others, for example events seasons, student performance times, so prioritisation and flexibility will be needed.

About the role

• Lead and grow a corporate partnerships portfolio worth c.£850k, with around 30 partners including well-known brands from hospitality, sport and property.
• Drive new business and steward relationships to an exceptional standard, with a clear ambition to grow corporate income to £1m+.
• Oversee a high-value events portfolio (c.£750k income) including a Winter Ball, Golf Day and other supporter-led events – supported by an experienced events manager.
• Contribute to senior fundraising strategy and play a vital role in shaping the future growth of partnerships income.

Founded in 2015 by Michael and Yvette Mansfield, SOS Silence of Suicide exists to break the silence around mental health and suicide. Initially a peer-support group, SOS is now a growing charity offering multi-channel support services via a national helpline, mobile hubs, and in-person outreach. The Role

The Chief Executive Officer will lead SOS’s strategic direction, operations, partnerships and fundraising. This includes shaping long-term sustainability, developing our team and enhancing our voice in national conversations centered around suicide prevention and mental health.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and manage the Senior Leadership Teams

About You

We are seeking a strategic leader who is hands-on, collaborative and emotionally intelligent. The ideal candidate will bring the following:

· Proven experience in charity leadership and team management, ideally in a growth phase.

· Strong understanding of mental health or suicide prevention – lived or professional experience welcomed.

· Track record in strategic planning, income generation and stakeholder engagement.

· Experience of developing services, managing volunteers, and fostering inclusive culture.

· Sound knowledge of charity governance, safeguarding, finance and HR best practice.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join the team as an Events Officer, reporting directly to the Events Manager. You will support participants who have their own place in challenge events such as runs, walks and cycles as well as other third-party organised events.

Main duties will include:

• Providing effective support to the events team, contributing towards the ambitious five-year Community and Events team strategy.
• Carrying out research, updating event collateral and supporting the team with event organisation and delivery including on-the-day support.
• Providing engaging stewardship to event participants and lapsed supporters.
• Recruiting participants and delivering excellent stewardship for a variety of third-party challenge events, including skydives, walks, cycle rides and runs whilst meeting set income targets.  

The Person

We are looking for someone who has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience in a customer service or client facing role. You must be confident with excellent attention to detail. We are also looking for a team player, who is experienced in working to targets and committed to delivering results. You will require the ability to juggle multiple projects, and be organised working on your own initiative. While experience in an events fundraising role would be advantageous, we are also keen to speak with people with events management experience and a sound knowledge of fundraising looking to develop a career in the charity sector.

Please note that this role will involve attending events in the evenings and weekends. You will be required to have a full UK driving license, and access to your own vehicle.

As Senior Grants Executive, you’ll play a vital role in the post-award administration of our grants programme, ensuring that funding is effectively managed and impactful. You’ll also:

The Role

You will be responsible for the charity’s exciting and varied portfolio of events from challenges to Golf Days and Christmas Carol services, and will play a key role in delivering their ambitious plans.

• Delivering key running, challenge, and bespoke partnerships to achieve agreed income targets and KPIs within set budgets.
• Reviewing, evaluating and developing opportunities to successfully deliver and grow the events portfolio.
• Providing excellent stewardship to NWAA participants in events across the region.
• Retaining, growing and diversifying both new and existing NWAA supporters.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to deliver effective marketing and engagement.

The Person

We are looking for someone who has experience in event management, ideally within fundraising. While charity experience would be advantageous, we are also keen to speak with people with an existing knowledge of fundraising and the drive to further their career within a fundraising role. 

You should possess exceptional communication skills, and be able to inspire participation and fundraising within diverse audiences. This role requires tenacity, creativity, team work and a proactive positive attitude. It is a busy role so you will need to be organised, able to prioritise and work under pressure to make the most of opportunities. Experience in working to financial targets and database management are also essential.
