Responsibilities of our Regional Support Manager:

• Drive the efficient operation and performance of our Retail shops within the designated region, increasing income generation whilst setting the standard for Cats Protection retailing excellence.
• Provide inspirational leadership, tailored training, and hands-on operational support to Shop Managers and teams to achieve growth, improve standards, foster team engagement, and minimise loss.
• Provide shop coverage to ensure uninterrupted trading across the region, responding to challenges and maintaining business continuity at all times.
• Champion the Retail Performance Framework, supporting its effective implementation across the region to monitor and enhance performance.
• Act as a brand ambassador and role model for the charity’s values and behaviours, fostering a culture of compassion, teamwork, and innovation that aligns with our mission to help cats in need.

About the Retail & Trading team:   

• The Retail and Trading department sits within the Marketing and Income Generation Directorate and comprises a diverse shop estate of 79 shops across England, Scotland and Wales and a growing ecommerce operation.
• Our operation plays a key role in generating income and introducing audiences to Cats Protection.

What we’re looking for in our Regional Support Manager:

• Demonstrable experience in multi-site management within retail
• Proven ability in team management, including recruitment, training, and development of team members
• Experience with sales targets, cash management, loss prevention, and financial processes
• Previous project management experience and familiarity with policy implementation
• Knowledge of health & safety practices in Retail
• A full UK driving license and access to a car, with flexibility to travel throughout the week

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison based. Main purpose of the role 
As our Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of our fundraising strategy, working closely with the Executive Director, the Finance Team, the Insight Fundraising Officer and the Trust and Foundations consultants. The Fundraising Manager will develop existing income streams and strengthen stakeholder and supporter engagement. As Fundraising Manager, you’ll work closely with other global team members to review and implement our fundraising strategy in line with our strategic goals. 

Main Responsibilities: 

1. Play a leading role in the development and delivery of ICC’s fundraising strategy and the success of direct marketing, telemarketing and online campaigns to generate cash, regular giving and Gift Aid. 
2. Plan, research and implement all aspects of direct marketing aimed at acquiring and retaining new and existing supporters. 
3. Establish a robust donor stewardship strategy, building strong relationships with existing  and potential donors and increasing donor retention and engagement 
4. Lead on the cultivation and stewardship of partnerships with churches. 
5. To manage the direction and relationship with our Trust and Foundation consultants by collaborating in the research, writing and submitting targeted Trust applications and report on grants awarded. 
6. Work with the team to support the legacy giving strategy, to maximise long-term income. 
7. To have oversight of the in-house CRM database (Microsoft D365). Work with the team to develop competency in the effective use of our CRM database as part of our donor stewardship and reporting structure. 
8. To assist and promote ICCs presence at fundraising and other events.
9. Manage the ongoing development and implementation of a regular giving strategy and donor care to reduce attrition rates. 
10. Regularly monitor and evaluate direct marketing campaigns, Trust fundraising, recurring giving and legacy fundraising, provide results and feed the learning back into the organisation. 
11. To keep abreast of key issues and best practices within the direct marketing/fundraising sector. 
12. Ensure fundraising practices comply with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and the Code of Fundraising Practice. 
13. Undertake additional duties as requested. 
14. Line manage the Insight Fundraising Officer and lead our Trusts and Foundations partner.

Fundraising Campaigns and Events 

1. Plan, coordinate, and manage our annual fundraising event. 
2. Support the Executive Director on other events.

As Head of Mass Engagement you will:

• Lead the team to deliver integrated tactical strategies across mass participation, community fundraising and individual giving to drive income growth and deeper engagement with these audiences. 
• Work closely with the Associate Director of Mass Engagement to ensure mass fundraising activity is aligned to broader organisational campaigns, strategy and digital mobilisation.
• Oversee and deliver strategies across all public fundraising channels (participation events, community, individual giving, supporter care), ensuring brand alignment and driving deeper supporter engagement. 
• Take ownership of the development and implementation of supporter journeys across all mass engagement channels.
• Work closely with colleagues/peers in communications, digital, brand and relationship fundraising to ensure activities are truly integrated and aligned.

The role would best suit:

• An experienced public fundraising leader with a demonstrable expertise across individual giving, community fundraising and participation events. 
• A strategic and creative mind, with the ability to lead operational delivery across a multi disciplinary team. 
• Someone with demonstrated success of driving income growth with a focus on supporter retention. 
• A skilled and confident people manager, driving an inclusive and empowering culture to develop direct reports and the wider team.

The role

St John’s Foundation is looking to recruit a Finance Director.

As Finance Director, you will sit on the Executive team at St John’s, along with our CEO and our Director of Operations and contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation whilst embedding our values and embodying a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

You will lead our Finance, Technology and Operational Governance functions, guiding a skilled and committed group of colleagues. In Finance, you will oversee a team spanning financial control, business partnering, management accounting and bookkeeping. Alongside this, you will provide strategic direction to our Technology and Operational Governance teams, shaping how they work to ensure the charity remains transparent, accountable and forward-looking.

About you

• Be a qualified accountant with significant strategic and operational senior management experience in a financial role and significant post qualification experience working in the commercial or not for profit sector ideally with some experience within the charity sector.
• Proven ability to shape and deliver financial strategy, ensuring robust governance, sustainability, and value for money across a complex charitable organisation.
• Strong track record in driving digital innovation, technology adoption, and data-led decision making to improve efficiency and insight. Expertise in developing effective governance frameworks, managing organisational risk, and ensuring compliance with charity, company, and data protection regulations also useful but not essential.
• Skilled at engaging Boards, Trustees, and senior teams with clarity and credibility. Have resilience to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands from internal and external stakeholders.
• Experienced in leading and developing high-performing teams through change, encouraging accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Committed to inclusion, transparency, and integrity—embodying the charity’s mission and values in all aspects of financial and organisational stewardship.

As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will hold a key leadership role at the heart of bemix. You will build and deliver a fundraising strategy that grows our income while protecting our integrity; lead inclusive, accessible communications that amplify marginalised voices; and nurture a brand that reflects our commitment to social justice and inclusion. You will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer, Senior Leadership Team and Trustees — helping to tell the story of our work, build strong relationships, and secure support for the future.

Main aim: The Head of Fundraising and Communications is responsible for developing and delivering a coherent, values-aligned fundraising and communications strategy that supports bemix’s mission, values and long-term sustainability. This includes growing diverse income streams, strengthening public and stakeholder engagement, ensuring consistent, accessible and inclusive representation of our work, and embedding strong internal communications and messaging across the organisation.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the postholder also plays a critical role in organisational planning, culture, reputation and long-term development.

Hours: 22.2 hours per week to be worked flexibly as agreed with your Line Manager. 

Start Date: As soon as the safer recruitment process allows. 

Location: The role offers hybrid working, combining remote and office-based work. The post holder is expected to work from a bemix office for a minimum of two days each week with regular travel to other bemix locations across Kent as required. Your office will be based at the Canterbury Innovation Centre, University of Kent site. With access to great facilities, including free parking, cafe, reliable local transport connections and lovely outside spaces to explore on breaks/lunch/walking supervision. Flexibility in working hours and location may be available, by agreement, to support wellbeing and work-life balance in line with our organisational values.

Duration: Permanent Contract

Salary and benefits: £50,000 per annum, pro rata + generous 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays + Contributory Pension Scheme (5% of pay)

About You

• A Doctorate in Educational Psychology and HCPC registration.
