About the role

In close collaboration with the Head of Fundraising and CEO, you will manage the charity’s key relationships with corporate partners, helping to retain, nurture and grow existing partnerships.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across teams, giving you the autonomy to build strong internal and external relationships alongside a small, supportive fundraising team to deliver high-impact partnerships.

Income Generation & Relationship Building

Job summary

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.

RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. They happen across the UK and around the world, both online and in person. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.

The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.

STOPAIDS mobilises civil society, parliamentarians, the public and the media to influence decision-makers in the UK and globally on the advocacy impact areas outlined in our 2022-2025 strategy.

In partnership with senior leadership, the Media and Communications Manager will oversee the design and implementation of STOPAIDS' organisational-wide media and communications strategy that amplifies STOPAIDS’ impact and reputation across our key advocacy areas. The Media and Communications Manager will support STOPAIDS and our joint advocacy projects to achieve our advocacy objectives through identifying strategic media opportunities, managing relationships with media outlets, and securing external media coverage. They will also work with staff and partners to develop relevant high-quality media products and to develop and manage online communications content for our key social media and website platforms.

As a capable team leader, the Media and Communications Manager provides expert guidance to staff and partners, is comfortable coordinating and facilitating working groups and supports the leadership of people living with and affected by HIV. They also work with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that media and communications strategies are aligned and complementary with other organisational strategies and priorities.

As with all STOPAIDS staff, and in partnership with the CEO and the Director for Development & Engagement, they will work to ensure the sustainability of the organisation by contributing 10% of their time to fundraising (to support with application and report writing) and other advocacy support.

The role has a six-month probation period.

The Opportunity Fund Partnership Development Manager plays a central role in supporting funding opportunities aligned with the objectives of the Opportunity Fund. This role combines relationship-building and programme development to ensure the Opportunity Fund achieves the maximum impact.

This role will be responsible for working closely with the CEO and the Strategy, Research and Engagement team to initially identify possible opportunities for funding, through to managing the relationship with organisations once funding is awarded. This will include remaining in tune with sector insights and development across philanthropy, civil society and public policy.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be proactive and ambitious, with a real interest in innovation in philanthropy to delivery greater social change. You will have proven experience developing and managing partnerships, with experience of engaging a range of stakeholders including funders, community organisations, and sector experts.

You will have experience of designing or supporting programme delivery with a track record of scoping and delivering research or development projects that inform funding or strategic decisions.

• Collaborate with teams across Carers Trust to build pitch decks, proposal toolkits and engagement tools for the corporate team to deliver to partners and prospects
• Work with the Corporate Manager and Head of Corporate to sell and scale our new employability offer to corporate prospects

About the Role

In this new role, you will contribute to enhancing the finance function within a growing and dynamic international charitable foundation. The role will enable you to work and continue your professional development across many aspects of the finance function. 

You will play an important part in our finance team’s further growth and professionalisation as Mission 44 extends its reach as a charity working in multiple countries. You will have the opportunity to gain further hands-on experience in driving our day-to-day finance processes, while also leading key projects to enhance our systems and put in place effective financial management of our new US entity. 

This role forms part of our Operations Team, currently comprising our Chief Operating Officer, our Head of Finance and Operations (HoFO), our Chief of Staff, our People and Culture Manager and our Operations Officer. A key part of your role will be acting as finance business partner to our other teams - impact, fundraising and communications - and demonstrating a customer service mindset in helping them achieve their objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

Accounting (40%)

• Oversee day-to-day transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, for both the UK charity and the newly created US charity
• Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records of accounting evidence for all transactions are maintained
• Monitor cashflow
• Support the HoFO in the month-end process
• Oversee and control monthly payroll with external payroll provider
• Oversee and control VAT returns with external accountants
• Check monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Develop the purchase order system

Financial Planning & Analysis (35%)

• Support the HoFO in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Control all accounts payable in dialogue with budget holders
• Finance business partnering with budget holders and the Senior Leadership Team
• Control and account for the use of restricted funds, in alignment with donor requirements and with the Impact team
• Collaborate with the fundraising team to support forecasting and income tracking

Statutory accounts and audit (10%)

• Support the HoFO in the year-end processes
• Support the HoFO in the preparation of statutory accounts, supervising outsourced accountants
• Support audit requests
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, including charity-specific requirements

Operations (15%)

• Responsible for the financial management of grant payments, in coordination with Grant Managers and Grant Budget Holders
• Drive good practice in procurement and manage the relationship with suppliers
• Support the wider Ops team in ad hoc projects and activities

Skills and experience

Essential

• Newly qualified or part qualified, working towards a chartered accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Able to be hands-on in a small finance team
• Able to drive relationships with outsourced accountants
• Fluent in using spreadsheets for financial information
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex financial data and concepts to non-finance staff and stakeholders to support decision-making

About the role

The Director of Membership Services provides strategic leadership for the Membership Services directorate and is therefore responsible for the development and implementation of all Imperial College Union strategy relating to Student Activities, Representation, Advice, Governance and Policy. The role ensure the delivery and resourcing of operating plans, policy and operating procedures to ensure that the Union delivers its strategic objectives across its Membership Services.

Quest for Learning is an education charity on a mission to close the gap for primary school children in Oxfordshire who are falling behind - often due to complex and compounding disadvantage. About the role

We're looking for a dynamic, relationship-focused, and highly organised individual to oversee our teaching programmes, school partnerships, and tutor network.

This role is crucial to ensuring our programmes are high-quality, well-managed, and meeting the needs of schools. You will be the first point of contact for schools, building strong relationships with headteachers and SENCOs, and ensuring that we offer the right support at the right time.

You will manage our team of tutors, ensuring they have the resources, training, and support needed to deliver our programmes to the highest standard. • Train tutors in best safeguarding practices and ensure incidents are properly reported and recorded.
• Liaise with schools and external agencies where necessary. 

Impact measurement & fundraising support

• Ensure a strong framework of assessment and impact measurement for pupils and our programmes.
• Analyse and collate data on programme effectiveness, reporting to the team.
• Work with the fundraiser to provide teaching-related content for funding bids and reports.

Person specification

Essential:

• Strong experience in account management, partnerships, or relationship management (preferably in education or the charity sector).
• Experience working in education or service delivery (e.g. as a teacher, tutor, or programme manager).
• Strong pedagogical knowledge and the ability to support tutors with teaching-related queries.
• Excellent people skills, able to build relationships with schools, tutors, and funders.

East End Homes are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a permanent Financial Controller. East End Homes, is a locally based and community-led housing association in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. This year East End Homes is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In 2005 residents of five estates across Tower Hamlets voted for their homes and communities to be transferred to the newly established social landlord.  Today, its 120-strong team manages over 3,900 homes with local offices in each neighbourhood. 

The newly created Financial Controller position offers a rare opportunity for a technically strong, ambitious, and commercially aware finance professional to play a key role in reshaping East End’s finance function and influencing decision-making at a senior level. The Financial Controller will be a member of the Senior Management Team and this role is seen as a natural stepping stone toward Finance Director level within the sector.

The Role:

• Work closely with the Finance Director and Executive Team to support strategic planning and organisational transformation.
• Oversee the development and delivery of Eastend Homes’ long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and business modelling (including BRIXX).
