Job description

Do you want to work for a dynamic, creative, fast-paced charity?

At Action Together we see the amazing things people achieve when they work together to make the lives of others better. We connect people, charities, public agencies and businesses who want to do good stuff, help them to find the money they need and provide the practical support to get things going and keep them going.

If you share our values; believe it's possible; strengthen others and be true, we’d love you to consider joining our team.

Healthwatch Tameside is one of the teams within Action Together and is the independent champion for people who use health and social care services. We’re here to find out what matters to people and help make sure their views shape the support they need. We have the power to make sure that those in charge of services hear people’s voices. Our sole purpose is to help make care better for people.

In this role you will specialise in the coordination and support for local people who wish to complain about care delivered by the NHS or social care providers. You will talk to clients who are unhappy with the NHS care they have received, help them to self-advocate, assist in their communication with NHS organisations and help them to navigate the formal NHS complaints process. You may also work as a member of the Healthwatch Tameside team to contribute to the effective delivery of wider Healthwatch activities.

Support with Complaints Officer (part time maternity cover)

Interviews are planned for the week commencing 14 December 2020.
