The Role

What will I be doing?

• Create a powerful alliance of Corporate Partners to influence science strategies and investment in areas such as advanced sensing, photonics, quantum technologies, semiconductors, renewable energy, autonomous systems and medtech
• Secure long-term relationships by delivering impactful services that meet partners’ needs: working with cross-organisation teams to drive take up of IOP membership, professional registrations, thought leadership articles and access to publishing content
• Manage risks and ensure financial sustainability of the Corporate Partners Alliance

Projects you work on may include:

• Deliver annual series of leadership visits to Corporate Partners organisations to explore interests and common priorities around skills, R&D, infrastructure and business support
• Manage and deliver science insights and advocacy activities with Corporate Partners, via high-level meetings with senior stakeholders in government, industry, finance and academia
• Facilitate ideation workshops, prepare briefings and produce reports to develop new insights and seed new activities to support IOP and partner priorities

Who will I work with?

• Executive Directors and Chief Technology Officers in large R&D intensive businesses
• IOP leadership and cross-organisational teams including our publishing company
• Closely with IOP Associate Director for Science, Business and Data Insights

You are likely to have the following experience

• Credibility in building corporate partnerships with c-suite and senior leaders in R&D intensive, large businesses
• Knowledge of working at the interface of government policy, business and academia regarding science, technology and innovation
• Experience of implementing projects that involve managing senior stakeholders and decision makers in business and securing income targets

Summary

The Interim Head of Funding will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the funding strategy of our three charities (Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity, Guy’s Cancer Charity and Evelina London Children’s Charity). The postholder will play a leading role in enabling the successful delivery of funding and impact across our NHS Charities in line with our strategy, covering activities across the full breadth of our funding cycle, from development of proposals, review of applications in line with our governance and overseeing delivery and monitoring of funded programmes. We are looking for an individual with funding experience from the health sector with strong line management experience to support the work of the funding team. The post is being offered on a six-month basis in a covering capacity.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

Funding

· Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end funding process from development of applications to decisions and monitoring of funded programmes.

· Overseeing ongoing delivery of the funding strategy by working with Funding Managers to effectively deliver and manage funding portfolios.

· Co-chairing of funding committees as required, supporting delivery in line with our governance structures.

· Oversee effective management of our Special Purpose Funds (SPFs)

· Working with finance teams and Funding Managers to ensure appropriate financial reporting and information is available across our funding portfolio.

· Supporting on financial and operational planning in-year, at mid-year review and in planning for future years, in line with our strategy.

· Supporting Funding Managers to maintain strong relationships with the Trust leads, to enable a partnership approach

· Working closely with the Head of Evaluation & Learning to ensure evaluation and learning are embedded at every stage of the funding cycle

· Leading on cross-team programmes of work such as embedding health equity into our funding, deliver effective patient and public engagement (working with the Patient and Public Engagement Manager) across our decision-making and deliver improvements to our grant-making.

· Supporting the iteration of the funding strategy

Other

· Provide line management to the Funding Managers and Patient and Public Engagement Manager as well as supporting the overall work of the wider team.

· As a key senior leader of the Funding and Impact Team, contribute and support the wider work of the team.

· Support the Director of Funding and Impact and Executive Director of Charities with other tasks relating to planning and development as required.

· Build and sustain strong relationships with the Fundraising, Marketing and Engagement teams within NHS Charities to enable collaborative working and sharing of information on our funding portfolio.

Role responsibilities are not exhaustive, and you would be reasonably expected to take on wider tasks that are commensurate with the level of your role. 

Working Environment: 

The post holder should expect to: 

• Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.

• Be responsible for the input and maintenance of databases and files relevant to the post requirements.

• Will occasionally be required to attend events in the evening and at weekends.

What we need…

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser keen to step in and lead our efforts to scale our fundraising here in the UK. You will be a hands-on leader, getting stuck into everything from fundraising to operations, while ensuring impeccable financial sustainability.

The ideal candidate would have more than 5 years leadership experience (with a sales, marketing, or fundraising background), ideally in international development, but a background in charity is not essential. You’ll have managed a team and worked collaboratively with a Board in a previous role.

• Overseeing administrative tasks for all research projects
• Supporting the Programme Development Team Lead in management of all research projects
• Liaising with the Support Coach team to connect with facilitators/parents for data collection e.g. supporting with the running of focus groups

• Supporting the data gathering process for all our evaluation data including maintaining data integrity by performing regular data audits and cleaning parent data ready for the Research Assistants to analyse

As our Events and Admin Officer, you’ll be at the heart of our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Events: Helping to plan and deliver a wide range of events – from breakfast briefings and online panel discussions to gala dinners – ensuring every detail runs smoothly. This will include liaising with suppliers, venues, speakers, and sponsors; coordinating catering and logistics; supporting event promotion; and overseeing attendee communications and requirements.
• CRM & Data: Acting as a Hubspot ‘super-user’, ensuring our CRM is effectively maintained to manage stakeholders, track engagement, and support compliance.
• Meetings: Coordinating internal and external meetings, including diary management for the senior team and producing accurate records.
• Enquiries: Serving as the first point of contact for shared inboxes, responding and redirecting queries efficiently.
• Office & Admin: Supporting office operations, liaising with landlords and suppliers, assisting with finance queries, and ensuring our day-to-day administration runs seamlessly.

• Educated to at least A-Level (or equivalent) with an administrative or operational focus.

Success Club is a London-based growing charity dedicated to supporting children and young people who are at risk of disengaging from education. About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Fundraiser to join our friendly team. We seek someone who feels passionately about our mission, to help us to drive income and ensure Success Club can continue to change lives, by building strong engagement with our donors and fundraisers. You will build on our past successes by managing existing relationships with, and making new grant-applications to Trusts and Foundations. We are a small core team and ideas are welcomed! You will identify new avenues for fundraising, and help us explore a growing portfolio of community support, to ensure the best possible experience for individual supporters and donors.

As Fundraiser, you’ll be the first point of contact for all inbound fundraising enquiries—whether by email, phone or at in-person events. You will nurture relationships with our existing individual and corporate supporters and identify and cultivate prospective donors.

You’ll be proactive and organised, passionate about delivering outstanding supporter experiences, and will have a strong understanding of the charity sector. Familiarity with fundraising databases or CRMs is also a plus.

The role will involve representing Success Club at occasional meetings and events, where you’ll be well supported by our existing team of Trustees and the CEO & Business and Operations Manager. There may be occasional out-of-hours work required. You’ll be a strong communicator and natural networker who enjoys building relationships and presenting.

■ Strategic Communications – Delivering compelling, high-quality written applications, proposals, and reports to funders, alongside excellent verbal communication with stakeholders and partners.

■ Supporter Stewardship – Proactively identifying and cultivating relationships with high-value supporters, including trusts, foundations, and corporate sponsors, to increase engagement and secure long-term support.

■ Bid Development – Writing successful funding bids and grant applications that align with funder priorities and Success Club’s mission, achieving or exceeding income targets.

■ CRM/Data – Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of donor interactions, applications, and outcomes in line with GDPR, enabling effective pipeline management.

■ Events & Representation – Attending and supporting community, corporate and networking events to raise the charity’s profile and create new funding opportunities.

Fundraising Executive Responsibilities

■ Deliver Against Fundraising Targets – You will work to a pre-agreed fundraising target, with a focus on generating income through writing high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations, and corporate partners.

■ Be a Welcoming First Point of Contact – Provide a professional and helpful response to all supporter and donor enquiries across phone, email, and in-person interactions.

■ Individual Donor Strategy Development – Design and implement innovative and tailored supporter journeys to retain and grow donor engagement, particularly for high-value funders.

■ Third-Party Fundraising – Act as the key contact for all independent fundraising initiatives and offer advice and tools to maximise their success.

■ Reporting – Produce regular and accurate fundraising performance and pipeline reports for internal use and funder updates.

■ Funding Applications – Take the lead on writing compelling, well-researched funding bids to trusts, foundations and corporate partners, including tailored proposals, reports, and budgets.

■ Represent Success Club – As required, attend meetings, relevant seminars, pitches, and external events to represent the charity, network with potential funders, and raise organisational visibility.

Conservation Collective (CC) funds solutions to protect the environment, restore nature, and safeguard against climate change. The CC UK charity incubates, launches, and supports locally focused foundations, which open new funding channels to support the most impactful environmental grassroots projects. Our network comprises 20 members based all over the world and is growing. 

We manage and monitor our donor relations, grant giving governance, contacts, and event activities, via a bespoke and customised salesforce system. This was launched in early 2022 and has been developed and configured to meet our growing needs since then.

As the demand for our model increases around the world, we need a highly capable Salesforce Administrator to support us to ensure our system is well managed, users are trained, and we can create accurate reports for our donors and other audiences. We’re looking for someone who can not only ensure that the existing system works well, is well managed and who can help us generate high-quality reports from the system to help us to raise more funding to support grassroots conservation work.

The role will report to the Finance Director and will work closely with the rest of the team in the UK and around the world, it is a critical role that is central to the success of our global network, and there is lots of scope for an ambitious candidate to grow in responsibility with it. 

Key Responsibilities 

Oversee Salesforce System: maintenance, administration, prioritisation and training  

Maintenance, user management, support and development 

• Administer and maintain the Salesforce platform, managing user access, profiles, roles, and security settings. 

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve any operational or functional problem.

• Maintain reliable records in all objects on Salesforce by eliminating duplicates monthly, processing user deletion requests and updating records for lists with up-to-date information on key stakeholders (e.g. trustees, contractors etc).  

• Ensure automatic back-ups are working and up to date and an understanding of how to restore back-ups if needed, protecting our organisational data. 

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of Salesforce configurations and process. 

• Managing Data Import Templates to upload ad-hoc batch data into Opportunities, using Data Loader or any other data import and data quality tools.  

• Oversee data governance log: maintaining log of changes to review with the team, discussing effect on budget and system usage to feed into prioritisation of new features and functionality, support the communication of any platform changes to end users 

• Manage onboarding and offboarding users both with Salesforce and Microsoft platforms.   

• Oversee smooth onboarding and training process for new members and refresher training where appropriate to ensure effective adoption and system use.  

• Respond to individual questions from users via tickets, on Slack and share tips and tricks regularly via Slack Channel updates to review any Salesforce learnings, any features from latest Salesforce release, any security updates, any best practices.  

• Work with our external Salesforce consultants on any requests of flow maintenance or improvements and monitoring effective use of credits and budgets.  

Form Assembly Management 

• Manage the integration of Form Assembly with Salesforce ensuring all connectors work well and troubleshoot and update connections where needed.  

• Support users with the building/maintenance of individual Grant Application forms, updating when needed (ad hoc) and embedding them in their websites. 

• Future scope any gaps in the Grant Application process, improve data management using validation, document and improve on existing processes.

Dashboard and Reporting Management  

• Support us to produce effective and easy to understand reports from the system:

• Opportunities - pipeline and income reports

• Best Practice Metrics – support and create best practice reports

As well as the Salesforce administration, the candidate we’re looking for will also be able to: 

• Be a key point of contact with our outsourced IT company, overseeing the creation of new users and managing the leavers’ processes on the MS 365 environment

Support the Data Protection Officer in data protection matters.

What you’ll be doing

As our Policy and Advocacy Manager, you will play a leading role in shaping and advancing River Action’s political and policy influence, working closely with the Head of Legal and Policy, Chief Executive and wider team to develop and execute an impactful policy and advocacy strategy.

River Action is the Co-Secretariat for the APPG on Water Pollution, offering our Policy and Advocacy Manager a unique opportunity to shape the policy direction for River Action and also to influence policy development across Parliament. 

You will also work closely with our public affairs agency who manage our daily Westminster activities. 

You will:

• Lead River Action’s policy and advocacy work on agricultural, sewage and industrial water pollution, with a focus on regulation, funding and legal frameworks. 

• Collaborate with River Action’s team and external partners to ensure our collective work is underpinned by robust and forward-thinking policy analysis and evidence.

• Develop policy analysis to support campaign, communications and policy strategies, based on a strong evidence base and a sound understanding of the relevant legal and policy frameworks.

• Translate complex policy and evidence into concise documents with clear messages and compelling campaigns to engage political and policy stakeholders.

• Monitor and analyse political and policy developments, interpreting their implications and opportunities for River Action and its supporters.

A fantastic opportunity has emerged to join Bond’s communications team, as its new Media Adviser.

This position will add capacity to Bond’s media function to help build Bond’s media presence, support the delivery of Bond’s strategy and support the sector in championing humanitarian assistance and development that works to help those who need it the most. This post has two main purposes. Firstly, to coordinate and engage with communications and media specialists across the sector to address shared issues and achieve shared objectives together. Press office (30%)

• Act as prime contact for enquiries from press or other media representatives
• Identify matters on which collective action/comment from Bond and/or the wider sector may or may not be required
• Ensure consistent messaging around Bond’s media work and campaigns or sector initiatives in which Bond is engaged
• Write and sell-in collective letters, statements, opinion pieces, features, and responses to print, online and broadcast media

This is a pivotal role in growing Animal Equality UK’s reach, deepening supporter relationships, and driving the income we need to achieve lasting change for farmed animals.

The Copywriting Coordinator will report to the Executive Director and work closely with team members across our UK and international teams.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Be a brand champion: Develop engaging, accurate, and impactful copy that embodies Animal Equality’s tone and mission, sharing the experiences of farmed animals with donors and potential supporters.
• Deliver multi-channel content: Produce persuasive copy for appeals, newsletters, websites, campaign pages, blogs, magazines, impact reports, and petitions, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
• Support fundraising growth: Write powerful long-form and short-form content that motivates supporters to give and meaningfully engage with our work, enabling Animal Equality to expand our impact for animals.
• Content planning: Work with Campaigns, Marketing, and Communications teams to align content with upcoming exposés and campaign actions, ensuring maximum reach and supporter engagement.
• Collaborate with the team: Synthesise complex briefs into digestible, engaging, and emotive content while collaborating with team members to ensure Animal Equality’s content reaches its full potential through amplification, SEO, and multi-channel repurposing.
• Engage supporters: Lead focus groups and supporter calls to understand motivations and feedback, tailoring communications to strengthen loyalty and impact. Ensure communications are tailored to supporters’ needs, motivations, and advocacy journeys.
• Stay topical and creative: Monitor trends and news stories relevant to animal protection, responding quickly with fresh content that connects to our campaigns.
• Data-driven optimisation: Track, test, and analyse the performance of Animal Equality’s copy (open rates, click-throughs, donations, etc.), producing regular reports and using insights to refine future content.
• Represent Animal Equality’s culture: Support Animal Equality’s life-saving work by producing high-quality output, embracing and representing the organisation’s culture principles proudly at all times, and supporting our philanthropic efforts.
• Take on ad-hoc tasks, as requested by your line manager.

ABOUT YOU

You are a forward-thinking communicator with exceptional writing skills and a passion for advocating for animals with impact. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing resilience and creativity with strategic and data-led decision-making. You are self-motivated, organised, and able to multitask, working on several briefs simultaneously.

You actively seek constructive feedback and use it to continuously improve your work. You show ownership and a growth mindset that is focused on improving the world for farmed animals. Knowledge of farmed animal issues and alignment with Animal Equality’s mission is a must, as is professionalism, adaptability, and discretion.

You must have a minimum of three years’ experience in copywriting or a directly related field, with a proven ability to design and deliver content for successful fundraising. Experience of Pardot, Grav and/or WordPress is a plus.

You will be based remotely in the UK. In addition to monthly meet-ups, some travel within the UK may be required for demonstrations, meetings, and events. While not common, occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to support campaigning activities. Any additional hours worked and agreed with your Manager can be reclaimed as TOIL.

We’re looking for a Social and Digital Media Creator to join our dynamic social media team!

You'll be a digital native, committed to delivering engaging, accessible and inclusive content to our audience of over 190,000 followers.

Day-to-day, you’ll plan and deliver social and paid media strategies to drive flagship marketing campaigns and daily channel activity. You’ll use insights to increase engagement, raise awareness, attract and retain supporters, and drive conversions against KPIs.

Leading social content production, you’ll be confident in creating videos and graphics. You’ll proactively drive our UGC (user generated content) media, building strong relationships with external community voices to co-produce community-focused videos.

The role also involves planning, writing, building, and sending emails to key audiences using our DotDigital email service provider.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the Society to help deliver an ambitious programme of digital campaigns.
