As we move forward with our refreshed strategy, we are looking for a new Director of Finance and Operations to join our Senior Leadership Team.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the Lab’s operational heart; from finance and governance to people, culture, IT and compliance. You'll work closely with the CEO and leadership team to ensure our infrastructure is not only effective and efficient, but enabling of bold, systemic work across the UK. The role balances high level financial strategy and organisational leadership with routine financial reporting, oversight of day-to-day operations and actively supporting team wellbeing. It will suit someone confident operating strategically at an Executive and Board level, but who’s also comfortable rolling up their sleeves in a small, agile organisation.
We are seeking someone with significant experience in finance and operations leadership, ideally in a non-profit, consultancy or values driven setting, who is committed to equity, anti-racism, and social justice. About the Role

Roles and Responsibilities
Accounting (40%)
- Oversee day-to-day transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, for both the UK charity and the newly created US charity
- Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records of accounting evidence for all transactions are maintained
- Monitor cashflow

Skills and experience
Essential

Sex Education Forum was founded in 1987 and became an independent charity in 2021. We convene over 70 Partner organisations, working together to make sure that the relationships and sex education (RSE) young people get is right for them. About the role
Over the next five years, our fundraising team are embarking on an ambitious growth strategy to increase our income from c. £1m to £1.7m. About the role
As our Temporary Finance Manager, you will be managing a finance assistant and will be part of our organisation’s Senior Leadership Team, helping to collaboratively shape and steer the charity as we work towards our 2022-2027 strategy. The Finance Manager is at the heart of Woman’s Trust; you will play an essential role and have oversight of not just the finance team - you will have direct exposure to CEO/Board Members and decision-making for the future of the organisation.

Based in our Philanthropy Team in Fundraising, the postholder works with our clinical, estates and governance teams creating compelling proposals to secure mostly restricted income.
