This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Income Generation strategy for RSPCA Woodside and is an exciting opportunity for a fundraising leader, with the support of the CEO, to make the role their own in a post with scope and opportunities for career progression. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, researching and pursuing new opportunities for fundraising and revenue generation. The post will set and achieve ambitious income targets across multiple income streams, including corporate sponsorships, major donors, trusts and grants, and digital fundraising initiatives. It will also lead on growing the individual giving, legacy giving, and major donor programmes.
 
Candidates will have a proven track record in leading successful fundraising or income generation strategies, as well as a strong background in managing diverse income streams, including individual giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and grant applications. About The Role

We are a small charity which is expanding and looking to provide additional administrative support for our busy teams.  We have an exciting opportunity to join the South East Rivers Trust and become part of the small and dynamic Finance and Operations team, sitting at the heart of the organisation. This role reports directly to the Finance Director and will provide administration for this and other teams in the organisation. 

The General Administrator role has been created to support with a variety of tasks, including calendar management for catchment meetings, which are hosted both in person and virtually, across the region.  In addition to logistical arrangements of these meetings, the successful applicant will support with all aspects of hosting, including minute taking.  The role will also  support the research, writing, collation and management of documents, for internal and external circulation.  Other tasks will include supporting with budgets, expenses and invoices, requiring confidence in dealing with numbers, spreadsheets and suppliers.

The role would suit an individual with a strong administration background, who is approachable and organised, has excellent attention to detail, able to work on their own or as part of a team.  It involves liaising  and following up with all teams, to ensure internal and external stakeholders are communicated to in a timely manner with relevant information.  This is an ideal position for someone with excellent Microsoft office skills, strong communication abilities and a genuine interest in making a positive impact.  It will cover a variety of duties and afford the successful applicant the opportunity to learn more about the work we do in restoring our natural environment.

To be successful, they will need to be able to multitask, be proactive and have a confident manner, an excellent communicator who is inquisitive and able to work independently.  Additionally, they will have a positive attitude, with a willingness to assist the whole team with other administrative tasks as and when required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Strategy Execution: Works closely with the UK Managing Director, incorporating programmatic priorities for developing key funding partnerships, to align and execute the trusts and foundations fundraising strategy.
• Strategic Growth & Income Diversification: Supports the development of and executes a growth strategy to increase trust and foundation income, leveraging both existing and new opportunities, including institutional fundraising and government funding where relevant.
• Prospecting & Pipeline Development: Proactively identifies, researches, and cultivates new trust and foundation prospects to expand the current portfolio and drive significant new revenue growth in alignment with fundraising targets.
• Relationship Management & Stewardship: Establishes, nurtures, and manages strong relationships with trust and foundation donors, ensuring tailored engagement, timely reporting, and strategic alignment with donor priorities to maximize long-term support.
• Proposal & Fund Development: Leads the development and submission of compelling funding proposals to generate revenue, while ensuring collaboration with the global proposal development enablement function for high-value (£100k+) opportunities. Edits concepts, proposals, pitch decks and stewardships materials. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with WBR’s global Development & Marcomm and proposal development team to source insights, data, and programmatic information that strengthen proposals and enhance donor engagement, ensuring UK efforts align with international fundraising strategies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Requirements

• A combination of education and experience that yields the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Advanced knowledge of and proven skills in grant writing 
• Experience securing new income and growing existing income from Trusts and Foundations partnerships.
• Proven skills in relationship management 
• Advanced written and oral communication skills
• Proven customer service skills
• Detail oriented with strong time management
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to adapt to the constant change of a fast-growing organization
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Remote Work Location with some UK and International Travel Required
