About the role

We’re recruiting for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to steer us in the next stage of our journey. This is an exciting development of an existing role at Overcoming MS and will allow the successful candidate to make the position their own.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering an innovative new digital marketing approach, through the innovation, creation and delivery of projects and activities which increase leads, donations and engagement for Overcoming MS charity.

 Key Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Manager will work across several areas, including:

1. Conversion optimisation

· Increasing our donations and data capture - to enable us to continue the dialogue and create donations from a greater percentage of those who visit our website, or interact with other digital channels.

· Working with our agency partner to optimise key landing pages and signposting for conversion.

2. User journey optimisation

· Helping people find the right content based on data optimisations so that more people find what they need and understand what else the charity could offer them. Using HotJar for insights.

· Automated email journeys - Building customer journeys to support the Program pillars to build deeper relationships with people in our community.

3. Increasing reach and traffic generation

· Testing different low-cost digital reach opportunities.

· Including paid social, referral activities, calls to action across our channels, YouTube SEO and SEM. Working with an agency to optimise journeys from Google Grant, leading to clearly articulated actions (eg donations, sign-ups, click-throughs).

4. Testing to improve results continually 

· Email AB testing - Deliver AB testing to inform future email AB tests.

· Plan AB testing for email marketing projects, for the website, and other projects as needed to improve conversion rates.

5. Digital project management

· Testing new digital versions of courses and tools. Project management of website updates.

6. Campaign support

· Leading, innovating and supporting advocacy, communications and fundraising campaigns as needed to increase reach, engagement and conversions.

7. Gathering community feedback

· Continue the plan to access regular community feedback to influence Hub improvements and other digital channel improvements.

8. Supplier collaboration

· Working with our suppliers to optimise collaboration, reduce cost and increase impact.

About you

Strong digital skills

• A proven track record of managing digital products/projects/programmes which create value for end-users. 
• Strong working knowledge and experience in digital solutions.
• Experience in evaluating and improving existing digital programs.
• Significant experience working with 3rd party digital providers to create solutions that work for the target audience.
• Confident in Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Excellent understanding of AB testing to maximise conversion rates.
• Experience in using tools like HotJar (preferred).
• Strong analysis skills.

This unique position will contribute to the strategic development of the charity, allowing the right individual to bring expertise from previous roles to expand external partnerships and influence.  Keychange is a Christian Charity working in elderly social care and homeless communities.  Keychange provides care, support, development, and well-being services across nine sites in England, consisting of seven residential Care Homes for older people and two Housing Communities for young people, with an additional housing site in development. The Director of Strategic Partnerships reports to the CEO and is a part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) along with the Director of Finance, the Director of Operations and Facilities Business Manager.  The SLT is responsible for the leadership, culture and oversight of Keychange in the Central Office and Community Sites.

The Ripple Pond is a charity that supports adult family members of physically and/or psychologically injured British Armed Forces personnel and veterans. Many of these individuals and family members are hard to reach and often isolated.

Your role will be to ensure that more and more of the military community, professionals and other interested parties know who we are and how to access our support.

You will also help to organise our exciting programme of online talks and activities for our Members (service-users) to help ensure they are well-informed, involved and feel part of a supportive community. Making sure that Members are always involved in generating ideas and production.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic and determined, but you also need to be invested in our mission as a charity and care about people.

This role is about;

• working with a wide range of groups and individuals to help raise awareness of the charity and to create opportunities to identify new Members (service users);

• being responsible for networking, identifying, and establishing partnerships with key individuals and organisations and nurturing existing relationships;

• developing and rolling out strategies to engage with hard-to-reach and isolated military carers and families;

• coordinating a range of activities (mainly online) to deliver information to Members, potential Members, referrers, and other stakeholders. These will include online talks from staff, Members and other “subject matter experts”; and

Although the role is home-based, you will not be working in isolation; you will be supported by the managers and workforce.

Founded in 2016 and formally established in 2017, Youth Realities is a specialist youth and survivor-led charity supporting young people, primarily young women and girls aged 11-25, impacted by teenage relationship abuse.

Our vision is a world where young people live free from relationship abuse and violence.

Our mission is to end relationship abuse and violence by working with young people to provide specialist spaces for prevention, intervention and healing.

Our new CEO will work with a small staff and a diverse group of regular teachers and other professionals to develop this long-established organisation. We currently provide yoga classes and workshops for 30,000 students each year. Are you keen to be part of this growing community?

About the post of CEO

You will report directly to the Board of Trustees, ensuring excellent governance of the Charity, regulatory compliance with the Charity Commission and Companies House, and will collaborate with Trustees on designing and executing the 2024-2027 strategy. You will lead and support a team of seven staff, supporting 500+ older and disabled Neighbours annually with a large team of volunteers. You will ensure excellent management of charity’s finances and that adequate funding is in place to maintain all charitable activity, monitoring and evaluation. JOB DESCRIPTION

Strategy and Operations

1. Develop, implement, and lead execution of the charity's annual operational plan and 3-year strategic plan.

2. Identify appropriate level of staffing, volunteering, ensuring that all staff and volunteers are appropriately interviewed, vetted, inducted, trained, developed, and supported to deliver against their objectives.

3. Ensure appropriate upkeep, security, and management of the charity’s premises, including all relevant contracts and payments.

4. Ensure that the charity’s IT systems are fit for purpose and compliant with relevant law.

People

5. Line management of seven staff members, and responsibility for staff and team development, cohesion and appraisals.

6. Recruit and support social club facilitators and appropriate consultants to provide additional resource to the charity as required.

7. Lead staff member for safeguarding, liaising directly with Hammersmith and Fulham Adult Social Care.

8. Ensure appropriate mechanisms and safeguards are in place to support up to 100 regular volunteers, and up to 100 additional corporate/student volunteers.

9. Ensure appropriate mechanisms and safeguards are in place to support up to 500 beneficiaries and additional attendees at FGN events.

Finance and Fundraising

10. Develop, implement, and lead charity’s financial and fundraising planning and management, ensuring that the charity operates at least at break-even, ideally with a small surplus.

11. Ensure that the charity has a diverse range of income across various streams, inclusive of (but not limited to) public sector, trusts and foundations, corporate income, events, and online giving.

12. Ensure that the charity is receiving value for money with all expenditure, ensuring contract review on a timely basis as appropriate.

13. Ensure appropriate cashflow projections so that expenditure does not exceed income in any one year unless pre-agreed with trustees.

14. Ensure that appropriate financial controls are in place so to protect charity and anyone handling money on behalf of the charity.

15. In conjunction with the finance administrator and hon. treasurer monitor all income, expenditure, accounts, funding investments and budgets.

Governance

16 Ensure compliance with charity and company law, inclusive of writing, presentation and filing of annual report and accounts and other Company Secretary duties.

17 Organise, attend, record and report at board meetings every two months, inclusive of finance and operations reporting and the regular cycle of governance reviews.

18 Plan, organise and attend AGM and annual strategy session.

19 Ensure appropriate level of risk management and insurance are in place for the charity.

20 Ensure all relevant policies, procedures and financial controls are in place, inclusive of annual review.

Communications and Impact

21. Represent and promote the charity in public, sourcing media opportunities as appropriate so to increase visibility.

22. Represent the charity on appropriate networks and forums so to develop stakeholder relationships and source opportunities for cross-partner collaboration.

23. Ensure positive, fit-for-purpose, internal and external communications, inclusive of monthly newsletters, social media presence and other marketing materials.

24. Ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of projects and develop relationships with academic institutions and/or research consultancies where possible so to elicit external perspectives and scrutiny of the charity’s work.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

About the organisation

The organisational motto is 'the same rights, different needs'. This charity believes that every individual has the right to access services available to them. They help services to understand that every individual is just that, an individual who has varying levels of support needs. In 2022/23, their services supported over 600 individuals and families across Liverpool, including an increase in newly arrived asylum seekers and refugees needing to access services. About the role

The overarching aim is to stabilise and strengthen the organisation, with a view to attracting and retaining a strong candidate for the permanent CEO role.

The Board will work with the interim CEO to deliver the following short-medium term objectives:

• Provide clear leadership, direction and stability for the organisation, staff team and service users.
• Create an interim strategy and lay the groundwork for the permanent CEO to develop a comprehensive 3-5 year strategy.

The role

As Marketing Executive, you’ll have a broad and varied role, working with our Marketing and Digital Manager to deliver Marketing and Communications projects at a critical time for the Football Foundation and for grassroots sports. Working within the Brand, Marketing and Communications Team, you’ll provide proactive support across all Marketing and Communications activity.

You’ll work with the team to plan and deliver impactful campaigns, including the creation of campaign launch presentations and coordinating campaign evaluations. You’ll build key relationships and will support the cascade of information to internal and external stakeholders. You’ll help deliver opening and milestone events and shoots for Foundation funded sites. Due to the breadth of the role and the variety of the projects, you can expect it to be an exciting role, with no two days the same.

What are we looking for?

We’d love to hear from you if you have extensive experience in a similar role in project management, marketing or communications, with experience supporting the delivery of campaigns and measuring their impact. You’ll be knowledgeable and up to date on industry trends, with an understanding of how to use marketing techniques to increase the visibility, profile, and reputation of an organisation.

You’ll be organised, flexible, able to manage competing demands, and be confident managing a diverse portfolio of projects. You’ll also have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with a broad range of people.

You don’t need to follow football to apply, but you should appreciate the power of sport to change lives and have a genuine interest in using your skills and experience to help the Foundation achieve our charitable and strategic objectives.

What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £35,000 - £39,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

You’ll start on 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. Head of Communications & Marketing

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Baby Lifeline as Head of Communications and Marketing. You will play a critical role in supporting Baby Lifeline to deliver its important mission, leading the development and delivery of our strategic communications and marketing plan. Together, these will grow awareness of and engagement with our brand and increase donations.

Head of Communications and Marketing Responsibilities:

· Providing strategic communications and marketing counsel to the Chief Executive

· Devising results-driven marketing campaigns to grow our audience and drive charity donations and fundraising

· Devising creative media engagement strategies, leading on proactive and reactive media relations including press releases, statements, interviews, and enquiries

· Building relationships with relevant professionals and experts within healthcare, to help drive sign-ups to events and training

· Managing and influencing relationships with key external influencers, such as journalists, producers, and celebrity VIP ambassadors

• To stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and emerging opportunities and share this information as appropriate across the organisation to put TDT in the best position to respond in the advancement of our charitable aims and objectives.

• To support the planning and organisation of events such as workshops, webinars and conferences to showcase Teacher Development Trust's offerings and coordinate TDT presence at external events.  This will include representing the organisation at events to network and promote our services.

• To work closely with the internal teams, including the content development and participant experience teams, to ensure seamless service delivery, satisfaction, retention and brand loyalty.  You will also collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to explore potential synergies and business opportunities.

• To support the wider interaction between the organisation and the sector, in particular supporting carefully planned and considered marketing and communications activity as well as responding to emerging news stories and other agendas.  Where appropriate this may include working with journalists and other key sector influencers.

Experience, qualities and skills:

• Proven experience in marketing roles either within the education sector or elsewhere.

• Knowledge of the current educational landscape, including an understanding of professional development or a genuine interest in developing that knowledge.

• An active interest in continuously developing both generalist and technical marketing expertise.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present information clearly, striking the correct tone with a range of internal and external audiences.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Excellent problem solving skills and the initiative to continuously improve.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

• Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (Salesforce, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Asana, Divi, Wordpress)  would be an advantage but not essential - the appetite to learn is essential.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• A strong commitment to education, the non-profit sector and improving educational outcomes for children and young people.
