Sex Education Forum was founded in 1987 and became an independent charity in 2021. We convene over 70 Partner organisations, working together to make sure that the relationships and sex education (RSE) young people get is right for them. We influence national policy, are a respected voice in the media and contribute to ground-breaking research on RSE. By working in partnership with young people and training educators who work with some of the most marginalized young people, we know what changes are needed to make RSE the best it can be. We will soon be launching a new three-year strategy and have secured multi-year funding to further embed youth inclusion in our work. We are seeking a strategic, relationship-focused Head of Development and Philanthropy to lead our fundraising and donor engagement and to oversee our external communications function. This senior role is vital to growing philanthropic income specifically through endowment building by nurturing strong supporter relationships and enhancing the visibility and voice of Devon Community Foundation across Devon.

About the role

The manager is instrumental in facilitating and delivering life changing, positive on the water experiences for young people. As an expert practitioner, they will provide leadership, development and mentoring to their team of instructors. The post will require strong organisational skills.

The Manager is an employee of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets based at our Crosby Boat Station. The post holder is required to hold and maintain the following qualifications as a condition of employment: RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor and RYA Powerboat Instructor.

The primary purpose of the role is to manage a water-sports training facility in the Liverpool area for all Sea Cadet Units and other affiliates to the Boat Station.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day running of the Boat Station.
• Ensure that all visiting groups and their staff are fully briefed on the Boat Station’s policies and procedures and that there is adequate supervision of Cadets and young people at the facility, so as to discharge their duty of care for them.
• Oversee the Chief Instructor and all other sessional Instructors using the Boat Station.
• Manage the Boat Station’s accounts in liaison with the Regional Finance Manager including day to day fees.
• Ensure that best practise in accordance with the NGB guidelines and requirements following our Inshore Boating Operating Standard.

• Manage our portfolio of events: We have an emerging trend in challenge events, and we manage these carefully and mindfully especially long-distance sporting events. This requires key insights in trends and work with our marketing team on key insights.
• Working with the CEO: You will identify opportunities for strategic communications and growth. You will network with likeminded individuals from other charities and build sector connections.
• Senior Leadership Team: You will be an integral part of our Senior Leadership Team, which means working across the whole charity on tasks that may pop up, and planning with the team our Organisational Development.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a senior fundraising and communications role, preferably within the charity sector.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Relationship Management, or a related field.

At Boaz Trust, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home. For over 20 years, we’ve provided accommodation and specialist support to people who are facing homelessness and destitution because of their insecure or unresolved immigration status. Last year we worked with more than 600 people and, thanks to our dedicated support team, since April 2024 alone, 188 individuals now have somewhere safe to stay, instead of having no choice but to sleep outside.

As our first Head of Fundraising, you’ll play a vital role in transforming strong but reactive income streams into a thriving, sustainable programme that enables us to support more people, more effectively.

We have an engaged and generous supporter base, particularly among individuals, churches and other groups across Greater Manchester. Trusts and Foundations fundraising is also well established, with an experienced team member already in post. This new role will focus on strengthening and growing Individual Giving and Church/Community partnerships, both areas with significant potential. You’ll bring vision and strategy to supporter journeys, deepen engagement and stewardship, and explore opportunities in areas like Corporate Giving and Legacy fundraising.

This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO and contributing to our wider organisational development. You’ll line manage our Senior Fundraising Officer, with the potential to expand the team as income grows. You’ll also work closely with our Advocacy and Communications Team to ensure supporter communications reflect our values and amplify our impact.

We’re looking for someone with experience in Individual Giving and relationship fundraising, who understands the power of storytelling, data, and connection. You’ll be a collaborative and empathetic leader, able to build trust with colleagues and inspire supporters. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Fundraising Team as a Head of Trusts and Foundations.

This important role as a key member of Street League’s Commercial Fundraising Team will be integral to the success of the charity as you provide first-class stewardship to existing trusts and win exciting new partnerships. You will be part of a highly successful and dynamic fundraising team that are currently working with some hugely significant long-term partners.

As one of two Heads of Department within the Commercial Team, you will line manage two Trust Managers, and oversee all research and prospecting, application processes and on-going stewardship of partners. Street League also has a number of long-term high value strategic funding partners that you will account manage alongside the CEO and Commercial Director. Alongside the Commercial Director and other members of staff, you will ensure all income is secured against target annually. You will also hold wider leadership responsibilities across the organisation alongside other Heads of within Street League.

Your passion, determination and talent will give young people living in some of the UK’s most disadvantaged communities a brighter future through secure employment. This role sits within the Commercial Fundraising Team that currently manages an impressive portfolio of corporate partnerships including many household brands and FTSE 100 companies supporting Street League with funding, volunteering, awareness, and pro–bono advice.

We are looking for a Digital Platforms Executive to manage our App, CRM system and website among others. Reporting directly to our CEO, you will play a crucial role in helping us enhance user engagement, streamline our digital communications, and maximise the impact of our online presence.

We are a small, dynamic team, so there is also plenty of scope to get involved with other things and gain an insight into all areas of the charity, with opportunities for growth and development.

About the role

As Digital Platform Executive you will:

• Drive user acquisition and retention strategies for our App (sidekick by Suicide&Co). 

• Collaborate with developers to implement new features based on user feedback and engagement metrics.

• Monitor performance and user analytics to inform continuous improvement.

• Develop and manage in-app communication strategies, including push notifications and updates, to enhance user engagement.

• Coordinate with content creators to ensure timely and relevant messaging within the App.

• Oversee the in-app customer support system, ensuring prompt and effective responses to user inquiries and issues.

• Implement feedback mechanisms to gather user insights and improve App functionality.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimise the use of our CRM system (HubSpot) for client, donor and stakeholder engagement.

• Ensure data integrity and security and provide training to staff on CRM functionalities on new processes or underutilised tools.

• Analyse CRM data to inform improvements to client experience and improve donor stewardship. 

• Maintain and update our website, ensuring content is current, accurate, and aligned with branding guidelines.

• Optimise website performance, user experience, and accessibility across devices.

• Implement SEO best practices to increase organic traffic and visibility.

• Launch and manage our Google Ads Grant account, creating and optimising campaigns to maximize reach and impact.

• Monitor ad performance, adjust strategies as needed, and ensure compliance with Google's grant policies.

About you

Based within easy commuting distance of our office in Westminster, our ideal candidate would have a proven track record of managing a variety of different digital platforms.

Role - A strategic role, responsible for supporting, developing and maintaining effective partnerships to support the local VCSE sector and Redcar & Cleveland more generally. The post holder will also be the overall service lead (managing other team members), reporting to and working with the CEO in areas of quality, performance and service development.

Background (Summary)

Enhance is the newly funded VCSE infrastructure support service in Redcar and Cleveland made possible through the collaboration of a number of funders to fill a gap in local provision. 

Lloyds Bank Foundation, Rank Foundation, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Tees Foundation and the Woodsmith Foundation have provided three years of funding and commissioned MVDA to develop and deliver a VCSE infrastructure service (Enhance) in Redcar and Cleveland.

Enhance will provide practical support to VCSE organisations based in the Redcar and Cleveland area who deliver services to local people and communities. 

The service model for Enhance is based on three key areas:

Improvement – Providing practical support through an information and advice service.  This will include for example advice on governance, funding, policy and practice

Growth - The development and delivery of a comprehensive training programme for all VCSEs in Redcar and Cleveland

Influence - Work to support the building and development of relationships; collaborative work across the VCSE sector and cross-sector partnerships

The service will be based in Redcar and Cleveland and will provide an outreach service in the more rural areas of the borough to ensure the services are accessible to all local VCSEs.
