About the Role
The Director of Grants and Operations is a senior role within the Jack Petchey Foundation with responsibility for leading our operations, partnerships and grant-making. You will ensure that our operations are agile, efficient, effective, forward-looking and robust. In addition, you will have strategic responsibility for ensuring our grants and partnerships teams deploy over £10m pa to benefit young people and strengthen the youth sector across London and Essex.
As a member of the Executive Team, you will play a crucial role in delivering our ambitious strategy, expanding our impact and investing more through JPF’s proven grants and partnerships. You will work to ensure that JPF programmes benefit more young people, particularly in areas and groups with the greatest need.
We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking leader with a proven track record of building and improving highly effective operations functions within complex organisations. You will bring strategic vision and operational excellence, ensuring that our systems and processes are robust, inclusive and future-focused. With significant experience in digital transformation, financial oversight and people leadership, you will know how to create the infrastructure that enables impact at scale. At the same time, you will be motivated by our mission, committed to youth empowerment, comfortable leading high volume grant programmes, developing programmes to fill identified gaps, and skilled at translating strategy into practical action.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
You will provide strategic leadership to our operations, partnerships and grant-making, ensuring that JPF
achieves maximum positive social impact through our programmes, funding and operational delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Operational Leadership
Lead the strategic development and implementation of operational infrastructure, including HR, IT, digital
systems and facilities.
Lead and oversee digital transformation and the efficient and effective use of CRM systems to support
effective decision-making and operational delivery.
Ensure robust, efficient and inclusive systems, policies, and procedures that drive organisational
effectiveness and resilience.
Ensure systems are user-friendly and future proof.
Financial Leadership
Provide executive-level oversight of financial planning, budgeting, reporting, analysis and reporting.
Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure strong financial controls and risk management systems.
Grant Making and Partnerships
Lead strategic oversight of JPF’s small grants programmes (>£5m pa to over 1500 schools and youth
organisations) as well as our 16 partnership programmes (>£4m pa) and paid youth sector internship
programme.
Identify and develop innovative partnership models that align with the Foundation’s mission, vision,
values and theory of change.
Lead the management and implementation of JPF’s c£2m new legacy grants programme.
Ensure grant-making processes are efficient, from application to evaluation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with delivery partners, funders and with the sector.
People and Culture
Lead, manage, and support staff across the Grants, Partnerships and Operations functions, fostering a
high-performing, inclusive and collaborative team culture.
Foster staff wellbeing and bring excellent judgement and good humour to your work.
Champion continuous improvement, learning and data-driven decision-making.

About the role

We are looking for an organised person to take the lead on managing our properties to ensure safe, functional, clean and welcoming facilities. This will include preparing reports, carrying out audit checks and associated administrative duties.

Main Responsibilities
- To be responsible for ensuring that all facilities comply with Health and Safety, maintenance and organisational standards, that procedures are in place and complied with, and that matters arising are addressed promptly.

Overall Job Purpose
As part of the Service Delivery Team, you will take operational responsibility for managing and developing the delivery of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) training programmes. You will ensure that corporate and charitable organisations are equipped with practical tools to build inclusive workplace cultures and create accessible career opportunities for young people with additional needs.
In this hands-on role, you will coordinate consultancy projects from start to finish - overseeing scheduling, delivery, marketing, and evaluation - to maintain high standards and meet income targets. About the opportunity
Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and wider Philanthropy Department, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will identify and cultivate fruitful partnerships with a range of small, medium and large businesses.

The Role
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Digital Content & Communications Manager; a creative all-rounder who thrives on “doing,” not just talking strategy. You’ll have ownership of our digital content: crafting impactful videos, visuals, and copy for our social channels and websites, and creating engaging resources for marketing, learning and programme delivery. You’ll energise our digital platforms while continuously improving their effectiveness and reach.
This role is delivery-first: you’ll “own” the hands-on creation, scheduling, and optimisation of digital content. You’ll have input into what and when we share and will help shape digital plans, but the heart of the job is practical content production and sharing. Press and comms partnerships are supporting responsibilities, not the main focus.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Content Creation & Delivery (Primary)
- Design, produce, and post engaging multimedia assets (video, graphics, infographics, stories) for social media, and our websites.
- Amplify authentic stories, ideas, and perspectives from our beneficiaries to move and motivate audiences.
2. Social Media & Community Building
- Plan, schedule, post, and manage engagement on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X, as well as newsletters
- Grow and nurture audiences—especially among schools, judges, volunteers, educators, and young people.
- Monitor trends and adapt content for impact.
3. Learning & Programme Resource Design
- Work with colleagues to create compelling, accessible learning resources and marketing materials for schools, corporate partners, funders, and events.
- Design digital newsletters, reports, and campaign materials that support fundraising, stewardship, and participant development.
4. Marketing of Programmes
- Provide marketing support to the programmes team to help promote our programmes to schools and other charities primarily through developing marketing collateral and supporting outbound email campaigns
5. Website Management & Continuous Improvement
- Manage day-to-day website updates, keeping our sites fresh, welcoming, and easy to navigate.
- Seek out and implement small improvements that enhance user experience, accessibility, and recruitment effectiveness.
6. Press, Media & Profile
- Develop and deliver a practical approach to meeting regional press grant requirements (e.g. one piece per final); contribute occasional press releases if needed.

Role Summary
- The School Engagement Coordinator for Northern Ireland serves as a crucial liaison for the Into Film programme in the region. This role involves actively engaging with schools and educators to promote and support their participation in various initiatives related to film, games, and creative media.
- The Engagement Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring that schools and teachers have access to the full range of educational resources, training, and opportunities offered by Into Film. Given the nature of the role, the Co-ordinator may need to work occasional weekends and extended hours, as well as travel regularly to designated regions and occasionally elsewhere in the UK.

St. John's is a non-maintained specialist provision, working with autistic people, the majority of whom also have learning disabilities. Your shift will commence at Eastbourne Foyer and will support the static night worker there during the night as well as undertaking your mobile duties across Eastbourne, Hailsham, Bexhill and Hastings.
Working on site you will be responsible for ensuring the service is safe by keeping clear records of night time activity within the building. You will regularly complete building checks and monitor CCTV upkeeping health and safety regulations in accordance with YMCA DLG's policies and procedures. You will work to prevent any anti-social behaviour from impacting our neighbours and other residents. You will work alongside other support staff to maximise the wellbeing of residents by completing one to one interventions with young people who may be experiencing mental health crisis and/or who may need medical assistance.
You will also be lone working as part of the role, so you will need to be comfortable with decision making and following procedures.

Our mission is to defend and amplify democracy by equipping individuals with the critical thinking skills needed to navigate the complex information landscape and engage as informed, active citizens. We have a strong track record of working with educators and young people across various contexts, and we are the secretariat for the UK’s All-Party Parliamentary Group for Political and Media Literacy.
The Position:
You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to lead our resource development. Reporting directly to the Head of Programmes, you will be tasked with developing and producing educational programmes and materials on topics such as Political & Media Literacy, counter-extremism, and online safety. This will involve ensuring resource related KPIs are met within budget and on time, alongside supporting our Head of Programmes in coordinating delivery of projects. Some projects may be handled by you directly at times. Projects and resources can vary from developing media literacy workshops for schools, creating digital assets for counter-extremism training and campaigns, to planning content for city-wide democratic engagement campaigns.
This position requires an enhanced DBS check, provided by SOUK, in accordance with our Child Protection and Safeguarding policies.
Key responsibilities

Plan, update and design learning and campaign resources for schools, colleges and for digital campaigns.

Support the Head of Programmes in managing and delivering on our diverse projects.

Run relevant projects yourself as required.

Recruit, coordinate and support schools and teachers across the UK to take on our political and media literacy workshops and projects.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with teachers, councils and other stakeholders.

Produce and update Elearning resources.

Occasionally travel nationally and/or internationally, if required.

Fulfil other duties as reasonably requested.
Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in resource and curriculum development, preferably in the education or related sector.

Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail) and other relevant software.

A strong interest in political and media literacy, civic engagement, and addressing online harms.

Ability to work independently and proactively, taking initiative to solve problems.

Familiarity with online learning platforms and virtual communication tools.

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, social sciences, communications) is preferred.

Strong writing skills are desirable.

Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Personal Attributes:
You are adept at working on fast-paced projects with multiple stakeholders. You possess outstanding planning skills, enabling you to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet targets and deadlines. You have a clear eye for detail and extensive experience in developing learning materials, training resources, and educational content for digital campaigns, schools and colleges.
Above all, you understand the resource needs required by schools, sixth forms, and further education colleges. You can build strong relationships with teachers and support staff, and you excel at networking, negotiating, persuading, and problem-solving, all while remaining flexible to meet the needs of teachers and practitioners. You have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
