We are recruiting a Legacy Fundraiser to grow PAPYRUS’ legacy income by creating and implementing a multi-year legacy strategy, planning and delivering activities in this area and managing residuary, specific and pecuniary cases. 

What you will do: 

• Develop and implement a legacy strategy and operational plan for long term growth.

• Research and develop new legacy activities and create a marketing plan. Project manage the day-to-day planning and delivery of activities central to the legacy marketing program, including: direct mail, email marketing, digital, social media, events, and the promotion of tribute funds and free will services.

• Work closely with the Fundraising Manager and communications team to develop a compelling legacy proposition and produce a suite of legacy and in memory marketing materials that can be used to engage and inspire supporters to take the next step in their legacy giving, including sharing inspiring, compelling case studies to support legacy marketing and in memory activity, including gathering stories from legacy and in memory supporters.

• Work across income generation and with other departments to identify and target legacy prospects within the existing supporter base and other potential legacy audiences across all of PAPYRUS’ networks.

• Identify opportunities to cross promote legacy and in memory giving to supporters as well as any activity from across the charity that could provide appropriate cultivation and stewardship opportunities for existing and prospective Legacy and In Memory supporters.

• Provide teams with relevant, engaging and impactful content, messaging or resources for inclusion in cross-team supporter communications.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

• English and Maths GCSE or equivalent grade C or above

• Previous experience of working in a fundraising role for a UK registered charity 

• Proven track record of effective relationship management with donors/ fundraisers

• Experience of handling sensitive information appropriately 

• Experience of working effectively within a team environment and assisting colleagues 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write reports. 

• Experience using Raiser’s edge or a similar CRM database.

Job Summary

To take the lead in ensuring that appropriate arrangements for keeping children, young people and adults at risk of harm safe are actioned at MHI as part of a Designated Safeguarding team covering the Shout platform 24/7. The role is responsible for promoting the safety and welfare of children and young people on our platform, being a consistent and reliable presence on the Shout platform, and advising Shout Supervisors on safeguarding actions and practise while raising and recording safeguarding issues as they arise. 

Key Responsibilities

• To act as an MHI Designated Safeguarding Officer.
• Contribute to developing and reviewing MHI’s safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
• Alongside the DSO, contribute to ensuring that everyone working or volunteering with or for children and young people at MHI, including the board of trustees, understands the safeguarding and child protection policy and procedures and knows what to do if they have concerns about a child’s welfare
• Take a lead role in implementing MHI’s safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures: ensuring all safeguarding and child protection issues concerning children and young people who take part in MHI’s activities are responded to appropriately
• Take the lead on responding to information that may constitute a child protection concern, including a concern that an adult involved with MHI may present a risk to children or young people. This includes:
  • assessing and clarifying the information
  • calling in and recording all safeguarding issues as they arise.
  • supporting and responding to staff who raise internal concerns as well as supporting those who make external safeguarding referrals to police or Adult / Children's Services
  • making referrals to statutory organisations as appropriate

• Be familiar with issues relating to child protection and abuse, and keep up to date with new developments in this area.

• Attend team meetings, supervision sessions and management meetings as arranged.
• Hold safeguarding workshops and drop-in consultations for the ongoing training and support of MHI clinical and volunteer support staff.
• Work flexibly as may be required and carry out any other reasonable duties.
• Child protection leads must have received relevant safeguarding and child protection training that MHI require and that is specific to their role. Pact is a successful national charity that provides life changing and lifesaving care for men, women and young people in custody, those with criminal convictions in the community and their children, family members and carers. 

In this newly created role, the Senior Manager (Major Gifts) will provide strong stewardship of existing relationships of mid value and major donors, support and cultivate interest in Pact’s programmes and unrestricted giving and take responsibility for identifying and developing new major gifts from individuals and family trusts. In addition, you will strengthen and develop the legacy strategy and offer to existing and new individual supporter. 

This is a senior, strategic role within Pact and you will have 

• A proven track record and specialism in either legacy or major donor giving, and the autonomy to raise funds from individuals, including HNWIs and to lead on this area within a charity.
• Experience of researching and cultivating individuals including HNWIs and family trusts to secure financial support.
• Strong interpersonal skills, talented at building relationships and trust, and able to inspire long term commitment.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey concepts and inspire a wide range of people through written & verbal channels, with the ability to build a case for support.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and budgeting skills and be capable of writing effective proposals, and reports.  Experience of using Salesforce is desirable but not essential.

You will enable partner networks and Viva to build, measure and learn together, evaluating the effectiveness of programmes and methodologies, adapting them to ensure desired impact is reached and sharing learning with each other and with other development partners.

You will also work to ensure all programmes funded by Viva are accountable, well-monitored and contribute to our learning environment with clear opportunities to learn and adapt throughout the programme delivery and reporting processes.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Shared leadership: You will contribute to strategic decision making as part of the Network Partnerships Leadership Team and be part of shaping the vision and practice of Viva as an organisation from a Christian faith perspective.
• Viva MEAL framework: You will develop and manage a robust MEAL Framework for Viva
• Network health: You will work closely with the Network Partnerships Leadership Team to review Viva’s Network Health Check process and develop a system designed to support partner networks to build strong and sustainable networks
• Reviewing project delivery: You will work closely with Network Coaches to agree the most efficient outworking of the MEAL Framework with the Viva partner networks for projects where Viva has brokered funding.
• Evaluating Viva’s work: You will lead the process of evaluating Viva’s work, including but not limited to needs assessments, baseline survey, final evaluation, data quality audits, collecting monitoring data, network satisfaction surveys, and field supervision.
• Representing Viva: You will at different times and ways represent Viva externally, for example, through speaking in churches, prayer meetings, meeting with other Christian organisations.

This role will suit you if you:

• have at least a Bachelor’s degree in impact measurement or international development with a MEAL module, or a related field
• are experienced in working in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning-related functions or related field
• have experience in project management including grant management and reporting
• are to demonstrate an active Christian faith, with an understanding of the Christian faith and church culture to be able to effectively engage with partner networks and churches
• think creatively and have a growth mindset, willing to challenge established ways of doing things
• enjoy working with people of different nationalities and cultures

Due to the nature of some of the key responsibilities, there is an Occupational Requirement for the postholder to be a Christian (Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010).

This is a part-time role for Viva, based anywhere in the world where Viva can employ you. If based in the UK, the full-time salary range is £36,000 to £40,000 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience. If you are based outside of the UK, the reward package will be adjusted to reflect the relevant local market and terms and conditions.

The role can be remote, hybrid or office-based where Viva has an office (Hong Kong, UK, Uganda). The post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and registration with the DBS Update Service (or police check where possible outside the UK), paid for by Viva.

This role will deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support and Advocacy service in and around Manchester. This varied role deals with every aspect of a patient’s life that supports better outcomes: welfare benefits, practical, emotional and social support. As well as directly supporting patients, you will raise awareness of the wide range of local and national resources available to kidney patients, and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other stakeholder groups in the region.

Impact and Insights Officer

This is a brand new, unique role to be an impact catalyst across both Carlisle and Barnet youth zones, generating support and building towards a ‘culture of impact’ in both organisations such that outcome measurement and impact reporting becomes routine and ‘every day’.

Position: Impact and Insights Officer

Location: Home-working combined with a minimum of 8 days per month across both Barnet and Carlisle youth zones (travel expenses will be covered as part of the package)

Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 (dependent upon experience)

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

About the Role

You will lead on data analysis and reporting on the data held in Salesforce CRM, improving both the quality and quantity of monitoring and evaluation processes, driving improvements in data capture through training and upskilling the Youth Work team, strengthening the ability of both youth zones to demonstrate the measurable impact of youth work delivered. 

You will also be responsible for measuring and demonstrating both charities’ impact to stakeholders; authoring and providing the necessary data to the leadership and fundraising teams and Board (as required), annual publications such as Trustees Reports and annual Impact Reports. Innovation is a key aspect of this role, involving the introduction and embedding of new methodologies to enhance the qualitative data capture process.

You will collaborate closely with a cross section of teams within the youth zones, working with the Youth Work delivery teams to feed data into decision making, and with the Communications and Fundraising teams to provide impact measurement and analysis content for use with stakeholders and in donor reporting. Furthermore, it will align impact and data work with national and local policy, and use national census, health, police and other statistical data to position both youth zones for new income generation opportunities.

About You

This role is ideal for someone who has the ability to bring technical analysis to life in a youth work setting and can communicate insights in an accessible style to different audiences. The Impact and Insights Officer should be passionate about embracing the power of youth work and be keen to support youth zones in evidencing the impact created with young people. It will require someone who can bring impact expertise and creativity to create buy-in and drive improvements in data capture; and someone who is keen to work flexibly and closely with teams of passionate youth workers and who is unafraid of the challenge presented by Youth Zones in two very different geographic locations.
