About the role

This is a fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Charity Shop Manager to join our team at our Exeter-based charity.

This new role will combine providing support and/or absence cover to our existing shops, along with getting involved in other opportunities for growth and development across the retail team (e.g. volunteering). Working in the shops may involve working to support the shop manager, or stepping in for them at short notice (and quickly getting to grips with their shop, processes, staff, volunteers and customers). This will be balanced according to business needs.

The nature of this role means that you will need to be capable of both leading or being part of a team consisting of shop assistants and volunteers.

There will also be times when you will be working on your own or with our Head of Retail and Enterprise at our Exeter base. The most important thing is that you will be helping us to achieve and exceed business targets for sales, growth and profits.

You will be based either at one of our charity shops, or at our main base in Exeter (to be discussed at interview).

About you

We’re looking for someone with prior management experience in charity retail, and demonstrable knowledge of the sector and its challenges. You will be self-motivated, commercially aware with a creative eye for displays, and constantly seeking new business opportunities. You will be comfortable with both acting as shop manager, and supporting the existing shop team, depending on the situation.

You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer care skills and be a person who motivates their team and creates a safe and energetic working environment.

There is a need to travel to different shops in Exeter and East Devon (depending on business needs) so a driving licence and willingness to drive InFocus vehicles is important.

• Work closely with the Board, providing essential support to the trustees in the furtherance of the charity’s objects whilst fulfilling its legal, governance and financial obligations.

The Borrow Foundation’s mission is to promote the improvement of oral health primarily in children through the prevention of oral diseases. The charity’s focus is on population oral health and the need to reduce inequalities within and between countries.

It provides grants to leading health agencies, government bodies, academic institutes, dental associations, and charities. These are being applied in many parts of the world to help improve oral health, primarily in children, through the prevention of oral diseases.

About Bright Futures UK

Bright Futures UK supports children and young people aged 5 to 24 whose education has been disrupted due to serious long-term physical or mental health conditions. We offer online one-to-one tutoring, befriending, and mentoring programmes, as well as group programmes including hospital workshops, industry events, and advocacy actions initiatives. Working in close partnership with hospitals, families, and other services, we ensure that children and young people experiencing health-related challenges are not left behind.

Role Overview

This is a key role in the delivery of our online personalised programme. The Coordinator will oversee the children and young people referral pathway, acting as the first point of contact for new referrals and guiding children, young people, and their families, educators, or hospital contacts through every stage of the onboarding process.

You will be responsible for gathering detailed and sensitive information about each young person’s health, education, and wellbeing, to ensure the support they receive is tailored, appropriate, and trauma-informed. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records is a central part of this role. You will also line manage the Personalised Programme Coordinators, work closely with the wider Programme and Volunteer Teams, and play a key role in external outreach and stakeholder engagement.

Referral and Programme Oversight

Job Description

​​​​​​The Youth Violence Intervention Practitioner role is to be part of the youth work team within Redthread with a primary focus on youth violence interventions in a health care setting. In this role you will be part of the Youth Violence Intervention Programme team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. You will support young people aged, 11-25 years old, who present to hospital following an incident of violence of for whom them there are concerns around exploitation or extra-familial farm. You will work with the young person in the hospital as well as supporting them post discharge to ensure they have the support in place that they need and want. Other tasks include: 

• Hold a caseload and work with young people in a range of settings, including in A&E and on the wards, in the community, in face-to-face and group contexts, and promote their personal, educational, health and social development through all interactions.
• Assist with the on-going development of the service model to ensure that clients gain the maximum benefit from Redthread’s interventions.
• Ensure information resources such as client forms, databases and contact files are kept fully up-to-date and secure, in line with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and our Confidentiality Policy and Consent Policy. Maintain high quality recording of interventions with young people on our database, Threads, in line with Redthread’s best-practice requirements. (Training will be provided.)
• Collect and record evidence of project outcomes and young people’s achievements, to ensure the completion of monitoring forms and project progress reports as required.
• Maintain a good level of knowledge of the issues around youth violence and Child Exploitation.
• With guidance and support from the Team Leader, develop skills to further your work with the young people.
• Under the direction of the Team Leader, develop an imaginative programme of events, activities and other interventions which support Catch22’s mission.

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive International Programmes Manager to support the Head of Programmes in delivering and growing our international operations. You will oversee programme delivery through international field partners and branch offices, ensure reporting and payment schedules are met, and contribute to the development of policies, processes, and strategic partnerships.

This role includes line management of the International Programmes Officer, ensuring clarity of objectives, high-quality outputs, and timely delivery. You will also play a key role in troubleshooting operational challenges, building strong partner relationships, and improving our frameworks for efficiency, accountability, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Delivery & Partner Management

• Communicate regularly with field partners and branch offices to remain up to date with events on the ground.
• Guide field partners to solve operational issues as they arise, coordinating with the Head of Programmes where appropriate.
• Approve monthly delivery reports and quarterly impact evaluation reports.

Team Leadership

• Manage the International Programmes Officer to ensure all reporting and payments deadlines are met on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Financial Oversight

• Prepare monthly budget calculations in line with the departmental calculation framework.

Policy & Process Development

• Assist with developing departmental policies and processes.
• Assist with ongoing programme management template development.
• Support the streamlining, automation, and digitisation of processes.

Strategic Partnerships

• Assist with the development of strategic organisational partnerships for current and future collaboration.

Person Specification

Essential

• Degree in a relevant field.
• 3 or more years’ experience managing international NGO programmes.
• Staff management experience: 1–2 years supervising teams.
• Proven ability to track spending, approve reports, and use calculation frameworks.
• Experience troubleshooting field-level issues (logistics, procurement, compliance).
• Track record in donor reporting/report checking/approval.
• Remote-work competence: self-disciplined and tech-savvy – experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams as a basic minimum.
• Dependable interpersonal skills, sound judgment, ability to manage time effectively, flexible, self-disciplined, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic.

Desirable

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in digitising workflows and policy development.
• Relevant professional certifications.

Purpose of the Role 

We are looking for a Multimedia Producer to lead on the day-to-day production of video content, including filming and editing, as well as supporting with ad-hoc design work for the charity.

About Chance to Shine

We are Chance to Shine: a children’s charity dedicated to harnessing the power of cricket to transform the life prospects of young people in the UK.

It is our mission that all young people have the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. We want them to learn a love of the game and to find a sense of belonging through the sport, developing their wider wellbeing and life skills to help fulfil their potential.

Established in 2005, we have a long-term track record of delivery in state schools and under-served communities, bringing best-in-class cricket programmes to young people aged 5 to 24 who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play. All our programmes are completely free for everyone involved, from schools and community groups to young people and their families.

 Key responsibilities  

· Capture high-quality video content at Chance to Shine events, programmes, and community initiatives.

· Produce and edit compelling video content for use across digital platforms, including social media, websites, and email campaigns.

· Create broadcast-quality assets to support media outreach and press opportunities.

· Develop creative concepts, scripts, and storyboards that align with strategic objectives.

· Conduct on-camera interviews and direct pieces to camera with professionalism and sensitivity to context.

· Organise and maintain a well-structured archive of video content for ongoing and future use.

· Design and produce engaging video graphics, including lower thirds, stings, and motion elements, in line with our brand guidelines.

· Support the creation of day-to-day graphic design materials, such as infographics, social assets, event materials, and presentations.

· Contribute to the broader work of the Communications & Digital department, assisting with various tasks and campaigns as required.

 Skills, Knowledge & Personal Competencies

· Ability to deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail.

· Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

· Creative thinker with a passion for developing engaging and original content ideas.

· Good understanding of the social media landscape, including video best practices for each platform.

Experience & Qualifications  

Essential: 

• 1-2 years’ experience of filming and editing at a professional level
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects, or equivalent video editing software 
• Confident in operating professional camera equipment, including models such as the Sony FX30, or similar DSLR cinema-style cameras.
• Willing to travel throughout the UK, Full clean UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Ability to produce motion graphics

You will inspire the communities in which we work to make a meaningful difference to the lives of autistic children and young people.
