The Opportunity

We are seeking a Partnerships Manager to join our team.  This is an exciting opportunity to join our Business Development Team and make a significant contribution to delivery of the charity’s high quality services to children and young people, providing them with opportunities and inspiration to enable them to achieve their potential, create a positive future for themselves and open doors to their success.

If you are self-motivated, enthusiastic and confident with experience in successfully securing, managing and developing partnerships from initial prospect research through to contracting and ongoing management, then this role is for you. Working alongside the Director of Business Development and Partnerships, you will support and contribute to the charity’s business development strategy with responsibility for managing activity including raising funds for Inspire from a range of sources including corporate partnerships, community fundraising, trusts and foundations.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

1. Writing and submitting applications for new funding to statutory bodies, trusts, foundations and corporates.

2. Researching funding opportunities, competitors and market trends.

3. Developing and maintaining an annual calendar of community fundraising activities.

4. Identifying new business development opportunities and developing a pipeline of opportunities and proposals.

5. Management and growth of Inspire's entry to mid-level corporate partnerships.

6. Working with delivery team colleagues to ensure funders’ reports are completed on time and to a high standard.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and committed Business Development Manager to join our growing charity. Responsible for winning new business and retaining existing contracts to achieve financial and growth targets, this is a pivotal role at Kinship. If you are self-motivated, have experience of producing high quality, successful bids, can think strategically, and love to work collaboratively across teams, we want to hear from you.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead on all commissioning activity at Kinship directly with commissioners and through tendering activity.

• Lead and support the creation of high-quality bids including writing technical questions and method statements.

• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of Kinship, the external environment, and kinship carers and integrate this knowledge into business development activity and bid production.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience of successful bid production and bid management – from identification of opportunity through to submission. Track record in successful tendering for retention of contracts and new business.

• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Able to articulate and translate complex ideas and service delivery models into compelling, structured, and high-quality written propositions.

• Ability to analyse large volumes of information to develop clear and compelling bids and proposals.

Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. We all share it. It drives the NSPCC's Major Giving Department to bring in the funds needed to protect children and prevent abuse. Join us at the NSPCC as a Senior Public Sector Development Manager.

The Major Giving Department at the NSPCC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to become part of the Statutory Team, securing significant income from national, devolved and local government, research grant-makers and commercial tenders.

The Senior Public Sector Development Manager will work with the Lead for Public Sector Development, the Associate Head of Philanthropy, another Senior Public Sector Development Manager and two Public Sector Development Managers towards a shared income target of around £5 million per annum. These funds will create ground-breaking NSPCC projects that support millions of children, and help prevent abuse across the UK.

The recruited fundraiser will work at both a national and local level to lead on securing six and seven-figure grants to help the Statutory team achieve its annual income target. Working across the charity, they will build relationships with senior stakeholders, and source and share information with funders through engaging written materials, phone conversations and face-to-face meetings. Alongside managing their own portfolio, they will think strategically and lead on maximising new public sector funding streams.

The Major Giving Department is open and supportive with an active social life. The wider Trusts & Statutory Team has grown considerably - increasing its annual income by more than £6 million since 2017/18. With bespoke training opportunities, room for significant development and growth, and the support of colleagues and resource teams, the role will provide the opportunity to make a positive change for children and families across the UK.

The successful candidate will have:

• A track record of successfully bidding for six and/or seven-figure donations

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, enthusiastic and confident individual to join us in a role which has responsibility for ensuring suitable and safe work experience placements are sourced, managed and available for students. Our Work Experience programme provides a taster of the ‘World of Work’ helping to raise career aspirations and support academic progression.  Our team work with local and central London employers and education providers and provide placements for over 5,000 young people each academic year.

• To secure, update and manage work experience placements.
• To handle telephone enquiries about the work experience programme, communicating with teachers, employers, parents and schools.
• To be a key point of contact for schools/educational establishments managing and overseeing the work experience process.

Haven House Children’s Hospice supports hundreds of families, looking after children and young people who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Job Title: Partnership Development Manager

Salary: £34,500.

Contract Type: Contract for 18 months; there is a strong possibility that currently anticipated growth in the team may see this role become permanent during the contract term. Full time (35 hours per week) although flexible hours may be considered; the role may require occasional evening and weekend work  

Working location: Home based. The post holder should expect to come into the office a minimum of two days per month, with the possibility of up to five days per month being routinely required.

BACKGROUND   

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.   

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.  

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.   

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.

JOB INFORMATION

We are seeking candidates who are after the next step in their fundraising journey. You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Building a pipeline that reflects Magic Breakfast’s restricted and unrestricted funding needs, including Gift in Kind requirements, working with the Partnership Research Executive to research and identify prospects with potential.  
• Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies. 
• Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership. 
• Developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Development and Outreach Officer to play a key role in mobilising resources, expanding the network, and raising awareness about child marriage globally. The Development and Outreach Officer will work within the Development and Outreach Team to develop and implement fundraising strategies, cultivate donor relationships, lead the development of grant proposals and reporting processes, and support with outreach events.
 

We are looking for a passionate fundraiser with previous experience in a similar role in the not-for-profit sector, international/intergovernmental organisation or social enterprise. You will have a proven track record of writing funding proposals for trusts and foundations, excellent relationship management and impeccable written communication skills.
 

Job location

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Proposal development, grant management and reporting

•  Develop concept notes and proposals, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure alignment with Girls Not Brides’ priorities and with donor requirements.
• Coordinate the preparation of budgets, work plans, and other supporting materials for grant applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with donor guidelines.
• Support in monitoring grant timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance and accountability.

Donor cultivation and stewardship

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors to expand Girls Not Brides’ network and strengthen collaborations. 
   

Fundraising strategy

• Contribute to the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to diversify and increase Girls Not Brides’ funding base, in alignment with organisational goals and priorities.
• Research and identify potential funding opportunities from diverse sources, including trusts and foundations, governments and corporates.
• Collaborate with Girls Not Brides’ internal teams (regional, finance, communications, learning and impact teams) to maximise fundraising opportunities.
   

Outreach events

•  Support the team in the planning and implementation of events and outreach work throughout the year, working with other teams in the Secretariat, our members and partners.
•  Represent Girls Not Brides at meetings, conferences, and events to network with existing and potential donors, to promote the organisation's mission and impact.

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children every step of the way.

This role sits within our Youth Impact Domain, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for children who urgently need support. Your role will be to help us maintain and develop innovative practices to support our work in our services nationwide. As well as this, you will design, deliver and evaluate high-quality safeguarding and practice training to support and develop our direct practice colleagues.

We are currently looking for someone with a wealth of safeguarding experience and confidence in training delivery to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

A key part of this role will be your ability to:

-Provide safeguarding advice, guidance and instruction

-Design, development, review and delivery of safeguarding-related training across the organisation.

-The delivery of quality practice-related activity within the Youth Impact domain.

This role will support the delivery of our Impact and Evaluation strategy. This area of our work helps us to understand the impact of our grantmaking and creates and evaluates internal and external datasets to improve our work. Our Impact and Evaluation portfolio includes commissioning and undertaking new research, supporting our aim to publish studies on issues that affect children and young people living in poverty. 

We are a growing charity and our Impact and Evaluation department has a key role to play in the strategic and operational development of the charity as it grows. This role will support the delivery of that aim by working closely with the Impact and Evaluation Manager.

Responsibilities:

Data Collection: Assist with the collection and storage of research and survey data, including demographic data and outcomes indicators, employing quantitative and qualitative methods. Gather and engage with external open and government datasets. 

Database Administration: Retrieve and analyse datasets from internal databases, responding to requests for data from the team. Update and enter data into key dashboards to monitor trends and issues. 

Data Analysis: Assist with data analysis tasks, including cleaning and analysing quantitative data using software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI), as well as coding and analysing qualitative data using thematic analysis techniques.

Reporting and Presentations : Assist with the preparation of key reports, dashboards, and presentations summarising key findings, trends, and insights from impact and evaluation activities for fundraising purposes, including developing content for social media.

Evaluation Planning: Assist the implementation of evaluation plans for specific programs or initiatives. Contribute to planning large-scale projects, including the selection of appropriate evaluation methods, data collection tools, and evaluation frameworks.

Survey Administration: Assist with the design, administration, and analysis of surveys to gather feedback from grantees, staff, and other stakeholders. Monitor and act on grantee feedback, sharing relevant results with key staff.

Research Administration: Schedule and undertake interviews/focus groups, supported by the I&E Manager. Manage administrative activities such as contact with participants, transcription and coding.

Collaboration: Support the I&E Manager to collaborate with internal staff, research partners, and organisations in the sector to support evaluation activities.

At The Rise School, we are currently looking for a Senior PBS Practitioner to join our team. The Rise School is a thriving special school based in Feltham, West London educating autistic pupils aged 4-18.

Set up in 2014 by the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust, the school has continued to grow and now has a vibrant learning community of nearly 100 pupils.

We have an exciting new role as a Senior PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) Practitioner within the Integrated Services team that comprises of a dynamic team of Occupational Therapists, PBS Practitioners and Speech and Language Therapists, working in our education settings.

As a Senior PBS Practitioner, you will be passionate about improving the quality of life of autistic children and young people working with the transdisciplinary team to improve outcomes for children and young people. You will achieve this through providing high quality PBS advice and support across the tiers of support (universal, targeted and specialist). You'll lead on PBS essentials training across the whole school, whilst line managing 2 PBS Practitioners. You will conduct risk assessments of challenging behaviour and devise and implement PBS plans, providing coaching and support to class teams to optimise fidelity.

We are looking for and individual who:

• Has or is working towards a level 5 PBS qualification (or relevant alternative)
• Is skilful in the use of functional assessment and intervention
• Manages a complex caseload an prioritises and delegates effectively
• Has advanced skills in building and maintaining positive relationships with children and young people, professionals and parents/carers.

About the Role

Chance UK has been delivering early-intervention services across London since 1995. Our longest running programme is our mentoring service where Mentors pick the child up from home and run a 1:1 session in the community, once a week for 2 hours. They use the solution-focused approach to work on building the child’s self-esteem and confidence, set goals and explore new places.

In addition, we are growing a range of community based groups running after school as well as some workshops delivered in schools which will support children with developing social and emotional skills and resilience through activities or skills development.

The balance between 1:1 work and group delivery will change according to services commissioned so the post holder will need to be flexible accordingly.

We are ideally looking for someone for this role who is in easy proximity to South London as we have a number of children South of the river that need support.
