Individual Giving Manager – Development

We're recruiting for an Individual Giving Manager to join our team, and take the lead on our warm programme, bringing in around £1.2 million donated income per year. As a Individual Giving Manager you will

• Lead on the development and implementation of an effective programme to develop supporters using a range of channels, including but not limited to direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV and digital, and products including cash, raffle, regular giving, weekly lottery. 

• Assist the Senior Individual Giving Manager to develop and implement an effective development strategy in order to maximise the lifetime value of supporters and the long-term sustainable net income raised for Barnardo's.

About the role

We’re looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator (known internally as People Development Coordinator) with either experience in learning and development and/or a strong interest in building a career in the field to join our People Development Team

You’ll support the team in the coordination of internal and externally commissioned learning and development activities, working closely within the team, your departmental colleagues, and internal subject experts on a wide range of subjects and topics that are core areas for our workforce. You will maintain and continually improve our course evaluation, record keeping, and administrative processes, and bring new ideas and solutions to improve efficiency and measure impact. What will I be doing?

• Promoting the 70:20:10 model and providing the appropriate resources and signposting to enable our workforce to proactively drive their own development.
• To promote and support the use of new and existing learning and development tools and opportunities to enable people to develop themselves.   
• To work closely with the rest of the People Development team, People and Culture business partners and internal client base to coordinate and commission high-quality, value for money learning opportunities which further Young Lives vs Cancer’s ability to reach our strategic goals.

The Trust is seeking a Fundraising Director to run the day-to-day operations of our small and successful charity, alongside our existing Director of Operations, starting 1 September 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Your purpose 

This is a critical role in the Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs Department. As Public Affairs Manager, you will support the Head of Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs to make oracy education ordinary, co-ordinating and  project managing and delivering public affairs work as well as leading public relations work that increases our profile with policy makers. In doing so, you will play  an integral role in ensuring all children, regardless of their background, find their voice for success in school  and in life.

Your responsibilities 

This is a senior role in the Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs Department, as part of the wider Learning, Impact and Influence Directorate 

Public Affairs (80%)

• Drive forward Voice 21’s public affairs strategy, building key relationships, understanding and momentum that develops Voice 21’s influence with Government and non-parliamentary policy makers, ensuring that we have a meaningful role in shaping an oracy entitlement for every child, and appropriate mechanisms for its implementation

• Deliver Public Affairs business as usual work, for example; organising school visits, leading political and parliamentary monitoring, stakeholder mapping and horizon-scanning and organising events in parliament and at party conferences

• Work with policy makers on local, regional and national level to influence those responsible for the delivery of education at primary and secondary level

• Engage and manage stakeholders and other key people across and beyond the organisation who work with the Learning, Impact and Influence directorate to leverage relationships in pursuit of our organisational strategy and mission

Partnerships Executive (Interim)

The Partnerships Executive plays a key role in developing CST’s commercial relationships. Their primary responsibility is to secure conference exhibition sales to meet budget targets and manage all aspects of the exhibitor experience from prospecting to on-the-day support, to post-event communications. They also manage listings in the Directory of Services and work closely with the Partnerships Manager to support the prospecting process.

Reporting to: Partnerships Manager

Key responsibilities

1. Ensure that exhibition sales targets are met for each CST conference.

2. Maintain the CRM for commercial organisations, including creating and managing prospect groups and executing effective exhibition sales campaigns.

3. Create and maintain relevant webforms.

4. Provide excellent end-to-end support for exhibitors, including in person at larger conferences to ensure that all exhibitors’ needs are met on the day.

5. Gather feedback from exhibitors on the quality of their experience and report on what worked well and areas for improvement following each event.

6. Maintain and update marketing collateral to support CST’s commercial activities such as brochures, floorplans, briefings and manuals.

7. Cross-promote the Directory of Services to exhibitors along with other opportunities to work with CST where relevant.

8. Manage the sales and onboarding process for the Directory of Services, including overseeing the references, undertaken by a third party, sending out agreements and liaising with the marketing team on the promotion of new suppliers.

9. Support the Partnerships Manager in the development of the commercial pipeline for CST partnerships by holding initial meetings with new prospects and identifying opportunities for engagement.

We're looking for a Data Governance Officer to help us build the data foundations that underpin our work. 

The Role 

As our Data Governance Officer, you will join our multi-disciplinary Data Management Team within our Digital, Data and Technology Directorate. You will play a central role in supporting colleagues across the Charity to implement our data governance strategy, ensuring that colleagues are enabled to manage data ethically, securely, and legally across a wide and varied set of functions.

You will be as passionate and knowledgeable about supporting colleagues to develop an effective data culture and bring about the mindset and behaviour change that this requires as you are about data governance. We are a small team building culture change and supporting colleagues to take on new roles and responsibilities around data, placing ownership where it is most effective and enabling colleagues to see their relationships with data differently. 

You will have: 

• Experience in data governance or data management – ideally in the charity or public sector. 

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially with non-technical audiences. 

• A collaborative approach and ability to influence change across teams. 

• A passion for ethical data use and making a difference through better information. 

• Working knowledge of data protection laws (e.g. GDPR) and how they apply to charities. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Implementation, review, and refinement of the data governance framework, strategy and vision ensuring that these align with the Charity's Corporate Strategy. 

• Enabling and promoting data governance best practice in the charity 

• Contribute to enterprise-wide data management, working closely with data architecture/engineering colleagues and the wider business teams.

You will be passionate about putting the voice of the community first and are comfortable with collaboration and supporting volunteers so that, together, we can grow and nurture more thriving communities.

About the role

Line managed by the Support Services Manager, the Digital Community Officer will deliver key strategic activities that will improve engagement and create sustainable, moderated communities. This will be achieved through engaging with and supporting a diverse team of volunteer moderators and providing ongoing training to ensure the community remains a welcoming, safe space. This role is matrix managed by the Innovation Manager for Strategic Programmes who will support with, and build capacity for, the technical, data and integration aspects of the community platform.

About you

If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:

• Supporting a diverse range of volunteers (or relevant experience). 
• Experience of delivering peer-to-peer services or moderating an online forum. 
• Confidence in developing a deep understanding of a digital platform and effectively managing administrative responsibilities within it. 
• Experience working with service users or patients either directly or through digital/non-face-to-face services. 
• A good knowledge of data protection and safeguarding (for Adults, Children or both) backed with experience of applying these within a previous role.
