Job description

Direct Marketing & Supporter Services Manager – maternity cover

Salary:  £35,000 per annum pro rata (initial 9 month contract – with possible extension)

Based: Please note that in response to COVID-19, All We Can staff are currently working from home until the end of the year and a return to the office  (Baker Street, London) in 2021 will be subject to review and assessment nearer the time. Our homeworking has proved to be very successful and we are continuing to look at flexible healthy working options for staff as we move forward.

All We Can is looking for an experienced direct marketing professional to lead our individual giving and direct marketing programme as a key manager within our Public Engagement team. You will help build on the success of recent years, including our Regular Giving Programme, as part of our individual giving programme. Our Methodist donor base has been our key supporter constituency over the years and one we seek to maintain and develop while also introducing new supporters, from new markets.

This person will be highly motivated, passionate about the impact of great fundraising, and committed to the vision, mission and values of All We Can.

With proven abilities drawn from a number of years direct marketing fundraising experience, you will have demonstrable skills in increasing fundraising results and engagement with supporters through direct marketing channels, combined with a strong understanding of best practice in back office processing, data management and supporter care. This is a perfect role for an experienced direct marketing fundraiser looking for an opportunity to lead a team and take overall responsibility for a direct marketing function within a charity. It would also suit an experienced direct marketing manager looking to break into fundraising within the international development and relief sector.

All We Can is an international development, relief and advocacy organisation. It helps people in some of the world’s poorest communities to become all that they can. Its approach of investing in partnerships with local organisations has improved the quality of life and created positive, long-term change for hundreds of thousands of individuals and families.

With a 70 year history, All We Can is a faith based organisation with its vision, priorities and values grounded in Christian principles and its roots in the Methodist Church. You will be joining a growing and friendly team at an exciting time in the organisation’s development.

The maternity cover would ideally start Tuesday 1 December 2020 to allow for some handover, with cover expected to continue until early September 2021.   All We Can strongly encourages those with relevant and applicable experience to apply.

All We Can values people as individuals with diverse opinions, cultures, lifestyles and circumstances.  We are committed to building a culturally diverse team and therefore encourage applications from a diverse range of candidates to help us reflect our world and the communities we work alongside

To find out more and apply, please download the application pack from our website or get in touch for further information.

Closing Date:  Midday Monday 5th October 2020

Interviews will take place on:  Wed 21st October 2020

All We Can is the operating name of the Methodist Relief and Development Fund, a charity registered in England and Wales, number 291691.
