We are delighted to be working in partnership with London City Mission (LCM). LCM is passionate about sharing the love of God and the good news of Jesus Christ with the least reached in London, and to do this in partnership with churches.
We are seeking an experienced HR Ministry Partner to join their People and Organisational Development Department and play a strategic role in supporting LCM's mission through excellence in people management. You'll provide generalist operational HR services to specific teams, lead HR projects to improve processes and policies, and act as the team's expert on HR best practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your HR skills in a ministry context, working with ministers of religion and staff committed to delivering LCM's strategy. You'll provide thought leadership, support restructuring and change management processes, and enjoy the fulfilling dimension of working to the glory of God and the salvation of souls.
Working in a prayerful, supportive, mission-focused environment, you'll be a part of ensuring LCM can effectively reach those least likely to hear the gospel through strategic HR leadership and pastoral support.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- CIPD qualified to Member level or equivalent
- Experience in delivering HR services as part of an internal HR team
- Experience advising managers and staff across the full employment life cycle
- Experience of review, design and implementation of HR policies and projects
- Strong Christian faith and prayer life – a committed and practicing Christian.
- Right to work in the UK.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in written and numerical work.
- Strong Christian faith and prayer life – a committed and practicing Christian.
- Right to work in the UK.

As our Philanthropy Report Specialist, your words will help bring this mission to life. You’ll create compelling proposals and reports that inspire generosity, deepen partnerships, and show the transformational impact of projects across the globe.
What you’ll do

Research, write, and deliver inspiring funding proposals and reports

Create engaging content that connects donors to the impact of their giving

Work closely with Philanthropy Managers to tailor communications to individual partners

Ensure reports and proposals are accurate, timely, and aligned with Compassion’s ethos and values

Support donor engagement by developing creative touchpoints and resources

Location, hours and benefits
Office-based at Compassion House, Fleet, Hampshire.
*Hybrid working is offered as a benefit. You will work a minimum of 40% of your hours from Compassion House in Fleet, Hampshire, and the office is closed on Fridays. However, we reserve the right to vary those arrangements in future.
Hours: Full-time | 35 hours per week *You will be contracted to work between Monday to Friday, between 09:00 and 17:00.

About Women in Prison
Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.
Job Description:
Job Purpose:
This role will be based in both HMP Bronzefield and in our community-based hubs in South London, delivering specialist housing support with women impacted by the criminal justice system in prison and the community.
Key responsibility areas
- To deliver an effective accommodation intervention for women impacted by the criminal justice system.
- To develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as housing departments, probation, prison, to ensure a collaborative approach to women’s accommodation needs.
- To provide expert advice and support to colleagues, including upskilling through information and training sessions.
- To work with colleagues to take a system change approach to tackling key issues, such as housing, for women affected by the criminal justice system.
