Civitas Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fantastic UK based Islamic faith charity that provides poverty relief across Asia, the Middle East and Africa by offering water solutions, organising mass feedings, supporting orphan care and much more. An exciting opportunity exists for a Head of Fundraising to join the team during a period of growth . As Head of Fundraising, you will lead the Fundraising team in the strategic planning, execution and management of the charity’s fundraising activities. You will be responsible for overseeing various fundraising channels, fostering partnerships, and implementing innovative strategies to drive income generation for the charity with a focus on Community Fundraising. It is a full-time, permanent role, based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in fundraising or related roles, preferably in a senior managerial capacity with a good grasp of community fundraising. You will have a proven track record of successful income generation and strategic planning as well as line management experience of geographically dispersed teams. Your strong leadership, managerial and networking skills will allow you to create strategic relationships as well build high performing teams. You will be a strong communicator who can work in a collegiate manner with different functions and confidently articulate the charity and its mission both internally and with wider stakeholders. The charity supports and cares for over 40,000 orphans and their families in 13 countries including Somalia and Palestine. A fantastic opportunity exists for a Fundraising Manager to join the team. As Fundraising Manager, you will play a crucial role in securing financial resources to support the charity’s orphan and widow sponsorship programs. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing fundraising activities across a broad suite of avenues including community, events, mosques, and local business partnerships. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Bradford.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have proven experience of developing fundraising strategies and delivering to large income targets. You will have demonstrative experience in fundraising and donor relations in the charity sector and be experienced in leading and managing fundraising campaigns/activities. You will be a confident communicator who possesses strong written and verbal communication skills including grant writing and public speaking. Proven leadership and team management experience and familiarity with fundraising software and CRM systems is essential for the role. In addition to the technical skills, you will be a personable candidate who has strong team working skills and creative problem-solving skills. You will also be able to demonstrate a strong alignment to the organisation’s values and knowledge of the Muslim fundraising space would be a bonus as you will also be involved in mosque appeals and collections.

As Philanthropy Lead, you will develop and implement a visionary strategy targeted at captivating the attention of ultra-high net worth and high net worth individuals, including a new generation of donors. This is a full-time, permanent role, hybrid working in London.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have solid experience of developing and delivering a philanthropy strategy which contributes to the organisations overall strategic aims on income and relationships. Ideal candidates will have solid experience of securing 5 and 6 figure gifts from philanthropists and/or family foundations. You will have good experience of high-level relationship management and support which enables senior stakeholder to grow income and networks. Exceptional communication, networking, influencing, negotiating and persuading skills are also essential for this role. Strong sector knowledge and a familiarity with the charitable/funding sector would be a bonus, however it is not essential for the role.

Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in branding and communications, preferably with start-ups or scale-up companies. Knowledge of the third sector and specifically the Islamic donor market would be an advantage although not essential. You will possess excellent strategic planning skills, project management skills and excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential. You will be highly personable and run multiple projects to a high standard. Combined with your technical and creative skills, you will also be able to demonstrate a passion for working with charitable and third sector organisations.
