What you would do:

Oversight and day to day management of the overall business administration, including:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Challenge Events Manager to join our Sports and Challenge Events Team managing an innovative and evolving portfolio of mass participation events, including the mighty London Marathon.

You’ll join a driven team committed to growing our challenge events portfolio and delivering standout supporter experiences, whether they’re jumping out of a plane or crossing that iconic London Marathon finish line. You’ll be marketing a range of tantalising mass participation events to supporters and devising engaging and inspiring stewardship journeys to make their Young Lives vs Cancer experience memorable.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

• You be responsible for driving supporters into the charity, using your top-notch marketing skills, and working with our Digital and Brand teams, to target third party mass participation events to new and existing audiences.

The Role

FareShare has a dynamic fundraising department that has seen incredible growth in support in an incredibly short space of time. We are now looking for a proven Supporter Retention Manager to join us as we embark on our next phase of deepening engagement with current and new supporters.

This newly created role is an integral part of the Fundraising team’s growth plans to become a £40 million income generating team.

Working closely with the Supporter Acquisition Manager, Supporter Experience Manager (Fundraising Operations) and the wider Fundraising team, the post-holder will lead on stewardship campaigns encompassing Warm Appeals, Regular Giving asks, Supporter newsletters and cross-sell campaigns across FareShare’s audiences. Line management of an Individual Giving Officer (or Assistant) may form part of the roles and responsibilities further down the line.

Main areas of responsibility

1.Plan and deliver the Warm Appeals programme in line with agreed budget targets and annual workplans

• Campaign manage the Cash Appeals programme at all stages, from initial planning through to supplier management and post-campaign analysis
• Develop and implement a rolling programme of Regular Giving Asks.

2.Develop and manage a seamless supporter journey and consistency of messaging from the initial touchpoint through to longer-term giving

• Actively monitor Supporter attrition levels and implement measures to mitigate disengagement

• Keep up to date on the latest trends and techniques in Supporter Stewardship and apply learnings as appropriate on retention initiatives.

3.Maximise opportunities for cross-team campaigns

• Collaborate with the wider fundraising team on new and existing income generation opportunities.

About the role:

As the Schemes Registrations Manager, you'll oversee and manage the SER administrative team, manage the registration process for individuals and firms, and ensure high service standards. About you

We’re looking for a Training Development Manager with technical and knowledge skills. Someone who can design, and deliver, high-impact training and facilitation for audiences across statutory, voluntary and community sectors. You will develop our Associate Strategy, in addition to effective, collaborative and innovative operational practices, in alignment with our methodology.

You will have successfully developed, implemented, and evaluated short and long-term training programmes in the children and young people sector; clearing obstacles to delivery; engaging diverse audiences, including senior leaders; co-facilitating; designing for impact and detail; managing trainers; and reflecting and applying learning for continuous improvement.

This role is a great match for a strategic thinker with strong virtual working skills, an adeptness for fast-paced environments and deep understanding of the impact of structural inequalities on child welfare systems, workforces and outcomes in the UK.

We break it up into 3 stages:

1. A skill-based task to complete and present at virtual panel interview (1 week to prepare).
2. A virtual panel interview where you will discuss your experience and skills with our Director, Business Manager and an Associate (1 hour) - scheduled for Tuesday 25 June 2024.
3. An in-person panel interview you will demonstrate your training/facilitation skills with our Director and an LBTC partner (30 minutes) - scheduled for Tuesday 4 July 2024 in London.

To support and help drive our continued development we now need to strengthen our central, ‘corporate’ services for the charity and its constituent business operations.  These services span HR, finance, management information, compliance, systems and ICT, premises and administration together with project management as required. We have created a new role, Business Support Manager, to lead this step-up in our central services.

The role

The Business Support Manager will lead the development and delivery of best quality, highly responsive business support services helping to ensure administrative excellence, smart systems and processes and fully compliant operations across the organisation. 

Working to the CEO and with the wider management team, the Business Support Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating central services for the charity. You will manage multiple administrative and business functions delivering great service to internal customers in areas spanning: core finance and performance management processes and systems; HR including staff recruitment, induction and workforce development; building and IT management; and quality, compliance and governance including overseeing policies, procedures and documentation. Developing and delivering more efficient, streamlined office operations and workflows for our central administration and operations support is a key focus for the role.

There is real scope, as we continue to grow, to develop both the job role and your own career progression. 

About you

You will be highly organised, efficient and proactive and have:

· At least 3 years experience in a relevant business support/finance administration role

· Excellent financial and administrative skills including expert working knowledge of finance and accounting packages e.g. Quickbooks, Sage and processes e.g. invoicing, debt, monthly, quarterly and annual management finance and accounts, P&Ls

· Exceptional attention to detail

· Strong IT knowledge and capability

· Great analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills

· Understanding of best practice HR administration

· Line management experience 

· Knowledge/understanding of corporate/charity governance desirable.

The Supporter Care Team Manager sits within the Supporter Care team and Supporter Service Department. This is one of the customer care focused teams within the Supporter Services department, which is part of the Operations structure, within the Income Generation directorate.

This role means a lot to our Supporters. You will line manage the team providing the first point of contact for the many thousands of people who get in touch with the NSPCC each month. Whether by email, phone call or letter, this might be the only contact that person has with the NSPCC. For this reason, the team take every opportunity to give our supporters a personal and rewarding experience, making sure they go away feeling more engaged with our work and knowing how much we genuinely value their support. The Supporter Care Team Manager will lead, direct, coach and encourage our staff to give the best service to our supporters whilst also having an eye for processes and systems to enable the smooth running of the team.

The ideal candidate will recognise the following skills in themselves:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Experience of working effectively with people from different professional backgrounds.
• Excellent written communication skills and excellent listening skills with a particular ability to control telephone conversations to a high standard, including handling distressed, confused or aggressive callers.
• Ability to effectively support and coach supporter care advisors with supervisory responsibilities
• Ability to think creatively – to be able to identify ways to improve customer service standards and demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of the importance of racial and cultural difference and of disability and an ability to respond to a diverse user group.
• Well-developed basic IT skills and experience of using a client information data base.
• Ability and willingness to assist in the promotion of NSPCC services, principles and values to a variety of audiences, including fundraisers, media and other professionals, including oral presentations.

We are looking to recruit a Family Services Practitioner to assist with the provision of our whole family holistic approach and to support parents and children in our Family service through a mixture of outreach support and the delivery of a range of learning and play activities. This is an exciting role in our Family Services team that will plan and support safe, creative, inclusive, and appropriate play and learning opportunities and assist in the planning and provision of practical help and emotional support to families experiencing short- or long-term housing and/or financial insecurity. The role is pivotal in reaching the Centre’s goal of helping children and families achieve improved long-term outcomes, greater resilience, and wellbeing.  

Please note that this role requires flexibility to allow for changes to the weekly rota to meet the needs of our clients. During term time, the Family Centre is open on Saturdays and will require some Saturday working. The work pattern rotates from Tuesday – Saturday or Monday – Friday. During the school holiday periods, our programme changes and we do not open on Saturdays. You will therefore work Monday-Friday during these periods.
