Job Purpose
The Fundraising Officer will lead on generating income from a wide variety of sources, including community fundraising, individual giving, grant applications, events, and corporate partnerships. Key Responsibilities:
Income Generation & Relationship Building
- Develop and deliver creative fundraising initiatives across various income streams (grants, individuals, events, corporates, community groups).

Bounce Back workers work with the Herts Mind Network Community Outreach Teams and hospital staff to ensure that patients are offered advice, information and holistic support for smooth, timely and supportive discharge from hospital back in to the community.
About the Project
Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver a one-to-one outreach service for people who are in psychiatric hospitals across Hertfordshire.
About the Role:
The Bounce Back Worker will be based at Kingfisher Court or Albany Lodge and HMN Centres, promoting joint working between Kingfisher Court staff and HMN, creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.
The aims of the Bounce Back service are; to provide up to 10 sessions of emotional and practical support, advice and information to patients. We will visit patients on the ward and continue the sessions in the local community and in patient’s homes once discharged. We will facilitate a smooth and timely hospital discharge.
The recovery approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity, compassion and humanity.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive referrals from the ward teams at Kingfisher Court, Albany Lodge and other appropriate hospitals across Hertfordshire.
- Provide practical and emotional support to encourage patients to develop their independence within their local community.
- Facilitate a smooth discharge from hospital back to the community.
- Have a solid understanding on the dual effect of mental health and drugs and alcohol.
- Monitor outcomes and evaluate the service.
- Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of patients using the service is monitored and reviewed regularly.
- Embed a person centred and recovery orientated approach in all aspects of the roles and responsibilities.

About the role:
You are able to work a hybrid with 3 days working from the office in Basingstoke and 2 days working from home.
As a Caseworker you will:
- Make calls to offer support to victims of crime, delivering immediate support.

As an Adult Carers Support Worker, you will be part of a small, dedicated team and take a lead on providing emotional support to adult carers and a commitment to enhancing their health and wellbeing. Summary and key purpose
This new role will be primarily responsible for developing, marketing and managing our individual giving together with working across other fundraising disciplines. You will be a key member of our fundraising team, producing compelling fundraising communications, stewarding individual donors, including regular donors and gifts in memory. You will ensure that our donors receive excellent care.
Our Individual Giving programme will incorporate one-off donations, regular giving, digital fundraising, appeals and in-memory giving. You will do this, with the support of our recently appointed fundraising agency, who you will manage our relationship with week by week.
A critical element of the role will be how we market ourselves to potential new donors, taking them on an emotional engagement journey in order to solicit regular gifts.
Your expertise and skills:
To excel in this role, you will need prior experience of working in a fundraising setting, with an understanding of good stewardship practices. You should be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, working across teams and meeting multiple deadlines. Your excellent relationship management skills will enable you to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and gather information on new projects. You must have a thorough understanding of individual giving, developing donor journeys and experience of work with agencies.
Key responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of the regular giving programme, project managing appeals and overseeing the thanking process for individual donors.
- Create, plan, deliver and evaluate multi-channel, compliant, insight-led, supporter-centric campaigns to engage and drive action from new and existing supporters.

You will provide high-quality financial insight, support resource planning, and contribute to key strategic decisions through the delivery of accurate budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting.With a focus on analysis and interpretation, you'll help ensure financial information is accessible, relevant, and actionable for stakeholders at all levels. You will also play an important part in maintaining compliance with university-wide policies and financial controls, while promoting continuous improvement in systems and processes. Your work will underpin key operational decisions, while your input into financial training and reporting tools will help non-finance colleagues engage confidently with budgets and policies.
The Successful Applicant
You will hold an undergraduate qualification in a relevant discipline or possess equivalent practical experience and ideally be actively working towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.You will bring a strong foundation in financial planning, reporting, and management accounting, along with the confidence to deliver meaningful analysis, reports, and recommendations under tight deadlines to stakeholders at all levels.You will need experience in producing and communicating financial information, particularly around staff costs and forecasting, and a good understanding of financial policies and procedures. Confidence using Excel is essential, and familiarity with finance systems such as Agresso or Excelerator would be advantageous.Whether you are early in your career and ready to progress, seeking a more collaborative environment, or part-qualified and looking to build on your expertise, this is an opportunity to gain valuable skills and grow with support and purpose.
