Reports to Head of Clinical Services
A fabulous opportunity to provide psychological assessment for pupils attending Together Trust education settings and external schools, this post offers the unique opportunity to join a newly established Psychology Service by working systematically in multi-disciplinary teams, promoting the emotional well-being, learning and skill development of children and young people.
Working collaboratively with teams in school environments you will provide highly specialist psychological consultation and direct assessment, followed by formulation and intervention where appropriate.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Undertake highly specialist psychological assessments and needs analysis with internal and external services supported by the Trust.
- Use applied psychology in working closely with staff from a variety of disciplines, parents/ carers and students to develop supports and interventions that mitigate the barriers to learning experienced by students with Special Educational Needs and Disability.
- Work with the Trust Wide Clinical Psychologist, to contribute to the evaluation, monitoring and development of the service, contributing to research, auditing, and service evaluation.
- Support the development of the Trust’s Assistant Psychologists, and the development and facilitation of training placements for Education Psychologists in training.
- Provide, where necessary, highly specialist psychological reports, for key stakeholders and other practitioners within the wider professional network.
About you:
- Registered with the HCPC you will hold a doctorate in Educational Psychology.
- Be able to demonstrate significant post qualification experience supporting children and young people in education settings.
- Have significant experience of undertaking cognitive and psychological assessments, developing formulations and providing recommendations and support plans.
- Be able to deliver training to raise understanding and ability to support children and young people and raise quality of life.
- Be able to demonstrate significant experience in supporting/providing clinical supervision and ability for reflective practice.
- Have knowledge of current educational systems and of those associated with children and young people with special educational needs.
- Evidence significant experience of working with children or young people with complex needs including learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum conditions and/or with mental health needs.

As Quality Improvement Fellow, you will develop and project manage the delivery of two national improvement programmes in paediatrics, to support members and accelerate improvement in the quality and safety of care for children and young people and their families.
The Quality Improvement Fellow is a crucial and influential role for the College as you will lead in the development and delivery of the new online Patient Safety Portal and QI collaborative, building on the success of the RCPCH QI portfolio by creating digital resources and shared learning to address national patient safety concerns and support improvement activity in integrated care.
Reporting to and working closely with the Head of Quality Improvement, you will explore research opportunities using data analytics associated with the Patient Safety Portal platform and shared learning from the Engagement QI Collaborative, identifying opportunities to promote the projects’ work on social media platforms and publications in medical academia.
You will also work closely with the Head of Children, Young People & Engagement, senior clinicians and members of relevant College committees and project boards, as well as working with colleagues in the Education and Training Directorate to incorporate patient safety and engagement QI learning into paediatrics training curricula.
With a Medical degree and paediatrics experience at ST3 level or above, you should have also completed the MRCPCH, and have a broad understanding of quality improvement in a clinical context as well as a broad understanding of children’s rights and engagement.
You should have proven experience of delivering multiple objectives to high standards within short time frames and of meeting multiple deadlines, along with demonstrable experience of producing high quality written reports, documentation and information suitable for a range of audiences.
With the ability to maintain effective working relationships through your excellent stakeholder management skills, you will also be able to explain and discuss complex issues clearly for a wide range of audiences, including parents/carers and young people.
A project management qualification or experience in project management, along with experience of research and publication in scientific or medical academia, would be desirable.
The post-holder can be based anywhere in the UK predominantly working remotely with occasional travel to the London office as required.

As Research Communications Lead, you will use your knowledge of the medical research field and science communication experience and expertise to create a suite of research impact communications and stories.
In addition, you will build the base for the charity to confidently talk and communicate the difference that our funded research makes to the lives of people affected by sight loss. These stories should substantiate our position as leaders in funding ground-breaking and world-class research and be used in any instance where we need to demonstrate our research impact, from fundraising materials to our brand marketing.

Strategic Research Communications

About the role
Alongside the Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service. You will support the Service Manager to manage and ensure the delivery of the service’s key quality and safety priorities by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the supported living activity/service. You will also have delegated responsibility for the direct supervision and line management of a team of support workers. As a Deputy Service Manager, flexibility is important for both you and for the service. You will be required to do on-call shifts during out of office hours. You will be expected to work 20% of your total weekly hours on shift across your assigned services and will be able to role model all aspects of a support worker role duties and responsibilities. The College Centre for Quality Improvement (CCQI) works with mental health services to assess and improve the quality of care they provide. The Centre Manager will manage the central administrative functions of the CCQI. This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to support women and children who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. In this role you will provide line management and support to staff who work with and help women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse and are staying in our Lambeth refuges. Our Lambeth refuges are culturally specific services for women and children of African and Caribbean heritage. This will include providing supervision on complex casework issues such as child protection, overseeing operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of casework.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to come and work with us as part of our Retail Team, based at our Exmouth shop. We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join us 3 days per week. Working closely with the Shop Manager, you will play a key role in leading the team, maximising sales and ensuring that the highest level of customer service is consistently delivered. Daily tasks may include:
- Providing cover for the Manager in their absence
- Supporting and guiding volunteers in the day to day running of the shop
- Stock control, sorting and rotation
- Displaying goods effectively, including creative displays and maintaining the shop's appearance
- Sorting and preparing unsaleable items for recycling or waste
- Facilitating and processing Gift Aid

We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated and has excellent interpersonal communication and customer care skills. Previous experience in retail and / or customer service environment is required with good problem-solving ability and a readiness for the ever-changing challenge that is charity retailing!

About the role
Alongside the Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service. You will also have delegated responsibility for the direct supervision and line management of a team of Support Workers. As a senior member of the team, you will promote and lead good practice at all times, doing all you can to make sure that the people we support and their colleagues come to no harm and that the people we support are satisfied with the level of support they receive by acting as an exemplary role model.
As a Deputy Service Manager, flexibility is important for both you and for the service. You will be required to do on-call shifts during out of office hours. You will be expected to work 20% of your total weekly hours on shift across your assigned services and will be able to role model all aspects of a support worker role duties and responsibilities. Following your time on shift, and in general practice at all other times, you will have responsibility for reporting back to the Service Manager and for maintaining a continual dialogue loop of feedback that focuses on quality, and continuous improvement and learning and ensuring the smooth operation of the allocated group of services.
A full UK driving licence, with access to your own vehicle, is essential for the role.
About you
- -You will have significant, recent experience at a front-line management level in field of learning disabilities in regulated services which may have included being a Registered Manager
- -You will have knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to adults with learning disabilities, CQC regulations and Health and Safety issues.
- -You need good IT skills and experience of maintaining records to be a success in this role. ???????
- -You need to hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or hold a level 3 diploma and be willing to undertake this level 5 apprenticeship qualification within an agreed reasonable timescale of 18 months as part of a development plan
