3. Providing survivors with immediate care and holistic support.
4. Creating a strong community within the safe houses that enable survivors to feel safe.
5. Leading on in house activities such as communal meals, film nights, English lessons, games evenings to promote social cohesion and build positive relationships.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 28 hours a week) will be considered. When applying, please state what hours you are looking to work. Occasional evening or weekend work is required, but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £23,928 with potential annual step increases up to £26,930 (pro rata if working part-time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, the trustees consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Remote or from Rainbow Migration’s offices which are based in London between Vauxhall and the Oval. Hybrid working will also be considered. The successful candidate could work from anywhere in the UK but would be expected to occasionally travel to London and other parts of the country for meetings and events. Adult Therapist and Children’s Therapist

The Role

These roles provide a high quality, specialist service to victims of sexual violence including provision of one to one therapy for children up to the age of 18 or adults over 18. You will support the provision of therapeutic assessments to clients across Derbyshire who have been referred to the Therapy Service either through self-referral, or other external pathways.

Working within a multi-agency setting, you will provide an empathetic and pro-active therapy service to child victims of sexual abuse aged 0-17yrs and their families, or adult victims , within and outside of the criminal justice system, including pre-trial therapy no matter when the abuse occurred.

This role is part of the Therapy Service which comprises of a team of Adult and Children’s Therapists offering counselling, therapy, support groups, parent support sessions and other therapeutic interventions to victims of sexual violence and secondary survivors.

About You

With a minimum of a recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy to at least Diploma Level 4, you will have undergone safeguarding training and have extensive knowledge and awareness of rape, sexual abuse, rape trauma syndrome and their effects within the therapeutic setting.

You will be able to foster strong therapeutic alliances, including with parents of children and hold a registration with BACP or similar professional body.

You will have 300 hours post qualifying counselling practice and a minimum of two years’ experience working specifically with either of these client groups.

We are looking for an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner to plan, deliver and support LGBTQ+ children and young people. This role involves working with children and young people identified as requiring emotional wellbeing support through face to face, virtual and group sessions. You will provide a safe space for young people who identify as LGBTQ+, undertake assessments and include a range of evidence based interventions in your delivery. 
As an EWP practitioner you will hold a weekly caseload and work collaboratively with the LGBTQ+ Project Team and wider organisation to ensure delivery and the successful completion of funded contracts.

The service is underpinned by CYP IAPT principles and the post holder would support and assist the core aims of this in the service. 

Key Responsibilities  

Delivering services to children and young people 

• Assess the needs and strengths of children or young people who identify as LGBTQ+ and help them identify individual goals to achieve desired change 

• Use creative engaging approaches and own knowledge along with research based methods and models to meet the emotional wellbeing needs of CYP within the LGBTQ+ community 

• Plan and implement Risk Assessments for 1-1 and group based activities 

• To take responsibility for own caseload of CYP that identify as LGBTQ+ and their families some with complex and multiple needs

• To involve these CYP and their families where appropriate, in the co-production of programmes, activities and services 

• Engage with CYP within the LGBTQ+ community, both 1-1, face to face and virtual group sessions to motivate, inspire and encourage potential 

• Support in the planning and delivery of LGBTQ+ sessions, ensuring continued support is given to CYP; putting young people first, ensuring we offer the right help at the right time. 

• Work in partnership with other professionals and organisations involved with LGBTQ+ CYP where appropriate, to ensure best outcomes for CYP’s. 

• Establish appropriate professional boundaries in relationships with CYP and families 

• Provide time-limited 1:1 sessions for CYP who identify as LGBTQ+ and their families 

• Communicate with new CYP and parent referrals to ensure suitability for group or 1-1 individual support. 

• Signpost CYP to relevant support services for additional support where needed

• To apply safeguarding and child protection procedures and escalate where necessary 

Supporting with Impact, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting 

• Use goal based outcomes and additional monitoring and evaluation tools to monitor the effectiveness and the impact of support for CYP accessing the service 

• To keep accurate records of individual engagement, evidence of change and celebrate progress with children and young people

• To provide, record and report the appropriate data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated

• Support the LGBTQ+ team to monitor, evaluate and develop the project and programs to meet contractual requirements.

• Keep up to date with good practice, legislation and policies that impact service delivery 

• Work as part of a team to lead and inspire collaboration across the organisation. 

• Attend and participate in team meetings and any professional training as may be identified 

• Assist with the development and progression of the service by adhering to all communication requests

• To attend and actively participate in regular line management supervision, case reviews, and clinical supervision as discussed and agreed between yourself and line manager

About the Role 

We are now recruiting for an experienced Policy and Public Affairs Specialist to lead on planning and delivering Hibiscus’ work on racial and intersectional inequalities in the Criminal Justice and Immigration systems. 

Development, research and report writing will be a key aspect of this role; the successful candidate will be responsible for drafting policy recommendations, reports, and consultation responses on issues related to Black and minoritised migrant women in contact with the Criminal Justice and Immigration systems. Supporting the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, they will engage and develop relationships with key political and parliamentary stakeholders, developing and delivering a variety of public affairs initiatives to inform decision-makers and influence policy in Criminal Justice, Immigration and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sectors. The post holder will prepare press releases and statements to address prison and immigration reforms, identifying the gaps of adequate support for women, and will analyse external and internal quantitative and qualitative data relevant to our work.

As part of the role, the Policy and Public Affairs Specialist will be responsible for raising awareness and creating content on the treatment of Black and minoritised migrant women within the Criminal Justice System. The post holder will identify opportunities for influence, monitor trends and developments, and prepare communications, reports and policy briefings to help ensure our work has an impact.

The post holder will also be responsible for leading Hibiscus’ partnership work on the Women’s Justice Reimagined project, advocating for the reimagination of the Criminal Justic System. They will build on Hibiscus’ policy work to raise our profile within advisory and working groups, creating alliances with other organisations in the sector and collaborating with other specialist and third-sector organisations to campaign for policy change and increase policy and decision-makers awareness of the issues Hibiscus works on.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience working in the UK political context to influence change, with demonstrable experience in developing and implementing public affairs strategies and building relationships with policy makers to inform decision making in government and across the Criminal Justice and Immigration sectors. 

The candidate will have knowledge and experience in collecting quantitative and qualitative research methods to produce evidence-based reports, press statements, and legislative policy briefings. They will have in-depth knowledge of UK legislation and government institutions related to Criminal Justice, VAWG and Immigration sectors and an ability to analyse government and public policy reports to provide accurate and accessible briefings.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong self-awareness and ability to prioritise workloads whilst working collaboratively with colleagues.

They will demonstrate a commitment to Hibiscus's ethos aims and objectives, including having an intersectional and anti-racist approach to the work and a comprehensive understanding of one of more of Hibiscus’ key work areas.

Delivering counselling sessions to clients identified through the Emotional Wellbeing Mental Health Contract. As a counsellor, you’ll hold a weekly caseload of up to 15 children and young people, will work as part of a team, undertaking mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence-based treatment for children and young people. (This may include individual, parent & child, sibling, family and group interventions.)

The service is underpinned by CYP IAPT principles, and the post holder would support and assist the core aims of this in the service.

You will:

• Provide a high quality and flexible housing management duties to vulnerable tenants who reside in managed properties across Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster boroughs. 
• Conduct weekly fire, health and safety checks including fire alarm testing of specified housing schemes as well as monthly and quarterly flat/room checks in order to ensure compliance with relevant legislations. 
• Regularly organise and carry out tenant’s house meetings within specified schemes. 
• Be the first point of contact for tenants to report housing repairs to and support them in either organising repairs to addressed or reported to relevant landlords.

You are:

• Someone with previous experience of working or volunteering in a housing management role or have the ability to demonstrate that you possess transferable skills. 
• Experienced in carrying out fire, health and safety checks including carrying out fire panel tests and conducting fire drills for residents.
• Good Knowledge of service user involvement techniques, organisation of tenants’ survey, analysing and report writing of outcomes.
• Experienced in working across multi-agency approaches to health, including social services, landlords, and other service providers.

West London Crisis Recovery House is a Registered Care Home, working to a recovery model, in partnership with West London NHS Trust. The services are staffed 24/7 and offer support to our residents aged 18 and upwards.
