We are recruiting a full-time Counselling Services Coordinator to coordinate a trauma-informed counselling service for survivors of sexual violence and rape at our centre in Sale. Our Counselling Service Coordinator will support our team of qualified counsellors whilst they deliver up to 26 free counselling sessions; recruit, induct and hold clinical responsibility for the counsellors and student counsellors; oversee, assess and manage the triage service for new counselling referrals; oversee and facilitate group work and the drop-in; undertake any reporting, data collecting, and analysis of stats related to service; and act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for TRC counselling services.
TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester (TRC) is a feminist charity that supports survivors of sexual violence and rape with trauma-informed services delivered by a passionate team of employees and trained volunteers from the local community. TRC believes survivors, is non-judgmental, confidential and understands the importance of survivors’ advocacy, supporting survivors to rebuild confidence, trust, self-esteem and their lives after rape and/or sexual violence. We are a small but tight-knit team of employees with a large impact who puts survivors first.

As we enter our 16th Birthday year, We Are Survivors are currently looking for an individual that has the passion, drive and determination to help us deliver our OUT Spoken Talking Therapy Services in our Greater Manchester and Merseyside estates (on a part-time basis). As we continue to provide services in prisons across the Northwest.
We Are Survivors provide survivor-focused therapeutic and advocacy support to male (including Trans and Non-binary) victims/survivors, and their loved ones, of sexual harms. We have developed a three-tiered approach to services and underpin everything we do with a ‘trauma and recovery’ framework pioneered by Dr Judith Herman.
We are currently commissioned to deliver trauma-informed therapy services in 15 prisons across the Northwest of England and we need your help delivering these services in the following estates:
· HMP Garth.
· HMP Hindley.
· HMP Haverigg.
Believe you are right for this role?
You will be a qualified counsellor / psychotherapist who holds at least a Diploma in Counselling / Psychotherapy or equivalent and be registered with BACP or equivalent (preferably an accredited member). You will understand issues relating to trauma, be able to work as part of a team and feel confident working in a prison setting.
In return for your time, experience, and commitment to the organisation, you will receive an annual salary of £27,810; 33 days annual leave (increasing annually by 1 day to max of 30 days); birthday leave; company sick pay; monthly clinical supervision; pension contribution; a range of training opportunities; and access to different benefit schemes.
Note: salary and annual leave is based on WTE. We may also consider the opportunity to job share.

Job purpose:
- Ensure the voices of women with lived experience are heard, and that these voices influence change and improve systems, policy and practice, both within MMHA and in all the work we carry out.
- Co-ordinate the MMHA's lived experience Champion Network, including logistics, administration and support (with appropriate safeguarding processes in place).
Main responsibilities:
- Manage MMHA lived experience engagement both internally and externally and coordinate involvement opportunities
- Develop and implement an MMHA Lived Experience Strategy including safeguarding protocols to ensure women’s voices are safely at the heart of MMHA decision-making
- Support MMHA Ambassadors with their lived experience involvement
- Maintain relationships between the campaign and MMHA projects with selected organisations/individuals linked to experts by experience
- Assist the Campaign team in the implementation of the MMHA and Everyone’s Business campaign Theory of Change
- Co-ordinate all systems for the Champion Network including protocol, financial systems, training, peer and clinical support, safeguarding and GDPR compliancy
- Lead on all Champion Network communications
- Drive inclusion of underrepresented voices in the Champion Network to ensure they are heard and can influence
- Coordinate UK-wide diverse lived experience representation with relevant stakeholders and support from the MMHA staff team
- Co-ordinate UK wide opportunities for Experts by Experience to deliver campaign messages at key events / meetings, as well as within the media (including relevant social media) as directed by the Head of Engagement and Communications Manager
- Support lived experience activities relating to MMHA’s Maternal Mental Health Councils project
- Support the co-ordination of an annual campaign networking workshop/training for lived experience champions in England, and similar in each Devolved Nation, i.e. Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales
- Maintain evaluation records capturing any known impacts of facilitating lived experience champions to share their story
- Support the Head of Engagement, including identifying new champion opportunities along with other tasks that arise
- Assist the Head of Campaigns and Policy and wider campaigns team with administrative and other tasks
- Represent the MMHA at events, as required
- Support the MMHA team with other tasks, as necessary.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing team within the AAT. Our team is small, but mighty. Our current S&O team is made up of three part-time support and outreach workers some of whom have lived experience of aplastic anaemia. Lived experience is hugely important to us but is not an essential criterion for this role.
As part of the Senior Management Team, you will bring the process, structure and programme-oriented approach to our successful range of support services. You will be helping to give people living with aplastic anaemia access to better information, better networks and better ways to advocate for themselves.
This opportunity is for a permanent contract, starting immediately. You will work 35 hours a week, and we encourage flexible working. However, the team does generally operate during core office hours (between 9am to 5pm) and there are regular team meetings on Thursdays.

Addiction Family Support is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting adults affected or bereaved by a loved one's harmful use of alcohol, drugs, or gambling.
The Role: Family Support Worker (Bereavement)
As a Family Support Worker at Addiction Family Support, you will provide crucial emotional and practical assistance to individuals bereaved by the loss of a loved one due to addiction. You will be responsible for delivering a range of services to provide support to people bereaved (and affected) by someone else’s harmful use of alcohol, drugs or gambling. Through both individual and group support, you will offer a compassionate and understanding presence, helping people navigate grief and loss in a safe and supportive environment.
Our service delivery takes place via several methods, including taking calls on our telephone Helpline, responding to emails through our email service and delivering the 5-Step Method intervention to individuals, couples and groups and facilitating group support via an online platform.
Working patterns are flexible to allow our services to run from 9am and 9pm 7 days a week. You may be expected to work on a rota basis, covering shifts during this period.
We would hope to be able to offer more hours per week in time when funding allows it.
You will need to be confident in your ability to provide support via a variety of remote and digital platforms, being able to respond to immediate requests for support. You will be an active and involved member of our team and contribute to all aspects of our work to help us achieve our strategic goals and work towards achieving our vision.
Responsibilities:
- Offer empathetic and non-judgmental emotional support to those affected by the bereavement of a loved one due to addiction (via a Helpline and adapted 5-Step Method).
- Provide information, literature, and resources to help individuals and groups manage grief and cope with their situations.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate bereavement support group meetings, creating a safe space for participants to share their experiences and provide mutual support.
- Respond to inquiries and offer structured emotional support through helplines or support groups, following guidelines and safeguarding practices.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and the charity’s policies.
- Ensure safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly and signpost individuals to additional services where appropriate.
