Finance Analyst - Country Programmes | Interim | 6 Months + | £250 per day (Umbrella Co) London - Hybrid
For a large international NGO, we're recruiting an Interim Finance Analyst for their Strategic Operations and Country Programmes team. This role will support Nigeria and India country programme teams, and a complex grants portfolio. This role will analyse financial performance ensuring integrity and accuracy of data reported and help support commercial decisions. This role is for at least 6 months and is hybrid working.
Main Duties:
- Compliance - review monthly country programme P&L, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Develop automated reconciliation and reporting
- Effective roll out of global standards and compliance reporting, ensuring all global audit requirements are actioned
- Collaborate with Donor teams, and Regional Programme Officer to ensure Donors' compliance requirements are understood
- Analyse financial and service data, variance analysis and trend analysis
- Support budget versus actual variance analysis and support the creation of financial models
- Financial forecasting, reporting and KPI tracking
- Reporting, budgeting, and grant accounting. Work closely with country programme Grant Managers to ensure Donor reports are robust, and that spend rates are monitored
- Review all new project budget proposals, working with country programmes to ensure projects are set-up, reported on, and closed down effectively
Person Specification:
- Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant
- Experience within the international charity sector
- Experience of Donor regulations, Donor policies and procedures, and supporting donor-funded grant management
- Strong Excel skills and ideally experience with SunSystems, Q&A and BI tools
- International and multi-cultural organisation experience

You’ll be developing strategic partnerships, increasing revenue streams and contributing to our growth plans as a member of the Relate Senior Management Team.

Key Responsibilities
- First and foremost, this is a sales role. So, we’ll need you to demonstrate a track-record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- You’ll be able to demonstrate an ability to work autonomously without intensive supervision.
- You’ll be able to demonstrate the ability to define and action a go-to-market plan.
- Naturally, we expect first-class demonstrable sales-skills including the ability to:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities including new markets, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
- Develop a pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Negotiate and close deals with a seven-figure value.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring their needs are met andexceeded.
- Provide detailed reports on business development activities, including market analysis, sales forecasts, and revenue projections
- Collaborate with the National Partnerships Director, Service Delivery Director, National Contracts Manager, Digital Services Manager, and other key colleagues to ensure the smooth implementation of new contracts.
- Deputise for the National Partnerships Director at Executive Leadership meetings
- Represent Relate at a range of events to promote the brand and the service offer.
- Contribute to annual budget and strategic planning cycles.
- Stay abreast of industry changes and competitive landscape to adjust strategies accordingly.
Education and Training
- Experience and formal training in a recognised Sales Methodology e.g. MEDDPICC, SPIN, Sandler
- BA Hons (desirable)
Demonstrable Experience and Knowledge
- Substantial proven experience in business development, b2b sales, or a similar role, in the service and/or not for profit sector
- Track record of securing seven-figure contracts.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Proven experience of cultivating and sustaining strong partner relationships in a range of settings.
- Understanding of market drivers in the EAP/staff benefits sector.
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding income targets.

Terms of Appointment
- Permanent position
- Full time, 35 hours per week (some evening/weekend work may be required)
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and 3 days over Christmas period

About the role
As Supporter CRM Product Owner, you will play a key role in ensuring that the needs of teams across Fundraising, Policy & Social Change, and Commerce & Enterprise are addressed as part of the ongoing CRM Development. We have created this role as we’re part way through implementing Dynamics 365 as our new Supporter CRM and are looking for someone to put their stamp on the governance mechanisms that support change, the way in which we training and onboard new users, and how we manage the testing process in advance of rolling out to all relevant teams.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have experience of CRM Product Ownership with a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle. Equally adept working with technical and non-technical colleagues, your exceptional communication and organisation skills will be used to bring colleagues together with a focus on delivering value at the early possible stage.
You will have experience in establishing new governance processes and ideally a solid foundation in agile ways of working in a user-centred development framework. As the second Product Owner in the Business Systems team, you’ll be a crucial cog in establishing Product Ownership as a discipline in a Systems context.

This key role presents an excellent opportunity to see projects through from conception to completion and to play a part in shaping how we work and what we do. You will have responsibility for day-to-day operation of UCISA, including technical Infrastructure and systems used to deliver UCISA’s services to our members. You will deputise on operational matters for the CEO and represent and advocate for UCISA alongside other management team colleagues.
You will be reporting directly to and working closely with UCISA’s CEO and have opportunities to develop your own skills in running an organisation in an innovative and agile way. Ultimately, you’ll ensure our operations run smoothly and that people are productive.
The role sits within the Management Team and the post holder will deputise for the CEO alongside management colleagues.
Summary of key Terms and Conditions
Contract: Permanent Full time, Oxford based, hybrid
Hours per week: 37.5, Monday-Friday with some flexibility to support UCISA events and participate in team days
Salary: £55,000-£65,000 per year (depending on candidate experience and skill set)
Leave: 30 days annual leave & 8 Bank Holidays
Pension: Defined Contribution scheme (6.7% employer contribution, voluntary employee contribution 0-6.7%)
