Role description
Results UK has a long and successful history of engaging with UK parliamentarians around international development issues and providing them with the briefings and questions they need to raise these issues in parliament. As the Parliamentary Advocacy Officer for Child Health, you will lead our parliamentary work on global child health issues (routine immunisation and polio eradication in particular) in line with our new strategy and commitment to equity. You will have a good understanding of how the UK Parliament works and how to engage parliamentarians in our issues.
You will lead relationships with UK parliamentarians around child health, including providing the Secretariat for the APPG Vaccinations for All.
Key responsibilities
Parliamentary advocacy

Working with the Head of Parliamentary Advocacy and others in the organisation to develop and implement a high impact and politically astute advocacy strategy for child health.

Alongside the specific global education strategy, contribute to the development of Results’ overarching parliamentary advocacy strategy, working closely with the Head of Parliamentary Advocacy and other members of the team.

Lead on the parliamentary work on child health for ResultsS UK, by building and strengthening relationships with MPs and Peers that result in their championing the end of poverty, specifically on malnutrition, and building support for nutrition interventions.

Provide the secretariat function to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) Child Health. The APPG secretariat/coordinator function includes guiding the Group’s work programme and activities, arranging meetings and events, corresponding with the APPG Officers and Members, briefing MPs and Peers to ask questions or speak in parliamentary debates and representing the Group externally, for example with the FCDO, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, UNICEF and others.

Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of Parliamentary Delegations to other countries and advocacy tours to the UK, working with the relevant Policy Advocacy Officer and others in the Parliamentary Team.

Work closely with the Grassroots Advocacy Team to ensure parliamentary and grassroots campaigning activity is coordinated and the greatest impact is achieved between the relationships our grassroots campaigners build with their local MPs, and the work led from the office to support MPs in Parliament.

Ensure our parliamentary advocacy and relationships always remain non-partisan and cross-party, in line with our charitable aims and objectives.
Partners and coalitions

Liaise with other global Results organisations, the ACTION Global Health Advocacy Partnership Secretariat and other ACTION partners to coordinate our parliamentary advocacy at a global level.

Work closely with civil society and other partner organisations and allies in the UK to coordinate parliamentary advocacy in the UK.

Represent Results UK in global coalitions and consortia relevant to your lead issue area, such as the UK Gavi CSO Working Group, the Polio Resource Mobilisation Group and others as agreed with the Head of Parliamentary Advocacy.

Identify and develop new partnerships in line with our new strategy and the focus on equity.
Communications and media

Where capacity allows, identify media opportunities and support media activity (including traditional and social media) related to nutrition.

Person specification
This role is ideal for someone with public affairs or political advocacy experience, preferably in the UK, who understands the way that political decisions impact global poverty and wants to influence these decisions. A strong understanding of and passion for global health issues, particularly those that relate nutrition. Equally important is a proven ability to quickly gain an understanding of a complex new area and translate it into succinct, clear, achievable recommendations.
This post will provide excellent opportunities for leading parliamentary advocacy to deliver real change in funding and policy outcomes on child health and other issues; for building and deploying a strong understanding of key international development issues; and experience of working directly with UK parliamentarians and other actors across the international development sector.

The General Counsel's Division (‘GCD') is a department led by the General Counsel and Company Secretary, and is made up of the Legal and Compliance, Company Secretariat, Safeguarding and Risk teams.
In your Coordinator role you will use your drive, initiative, strong organisational and excellent communication skills, playing an integral role in bringing the GCD together to align and deliver on departmental priorities. - Booking rooms for ARC meetings; coordinate logistics and supplies.

- Provide support with the administration of SCUK's related entities' board meetings, including scheduling meetings, booking meeting rooms, preparing board packs, distributing papers and taking minutes of meetings, as requested.
Act as the organisation's policies governance coordinator which will include:
- Managing the process for the review, development and approval of SCUK's policies in view of SCUK's overarching governance framework.

The role
Our Grant Assessment Managers form part of a centralised Grant Assessment function – a flexible and adaptable team which provides critique and assessment of applications submitted to the Football Foundation and Premier League Stadium Fund for capital and revenue grants, working within short timescales. In addition to the core function, Grant Assessment Managers are required to undertake Post Award Support to ensure the objectives of our grants are being met. This involves both face-to-face and remote meetings with grant recipients, where an assessment of delivery of outcomes, KPI measures and compliance with grant terms and conditions is made.
What are we looking for?
You don’t have to be a football fan to join the Foundation, but you must have a detailed understanding of grant application and grant giving processes and governance, coupled with an ability to effectively apply this knowledge to provide high levels of customer service. You’ll have experience of critiquing and assessing grant applications, as well as an understanding of the operations, requirements and challenges faced by community organisations, statutory bodies and not-for-profits.
You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience of communicating with and supporting a diverse range of colleagues and applicants remotely, as well as experience of producing detailed reports for decision-makers.
Grant Assessment Managers must be highly organised, with the ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities, adapting their approach for each programme to ensure governance and compliance requirements are met.

Refugee Council is seeking an experienced philanthropy specialist to develop and grow the Refugee Council’s Philanthropy relationships and programme and deliver an ambitious Philanthropy strategy.
Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK. Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment. Evidence from services is then used to also inform the charity’s leading policy and influencing work, including campaigning for a fairer and kinder refugee protection system. The charity works with more than 14,000 men, women and children every year.

This role will be a critical part of the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team and presents an exciting opportunity to grow Refugee Council’s established Philanthropy programme. The role will be responsible for delivering and creating bespoke development plans, supported by engaging cultivation and stewardship activities to secure increased funding from existing and new donors. It will also be a key point of contact for key Major Donors and high-profile supporters, patrons and ambassadors.
The position offers the opportunity to work alongside an engaged and well-connected Senior Management Team, supported by the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships and a highly regarded and experienced Philanthropy Consultant to make the charity’s ambitions a reality.
To succeed, candidates will have experience of running a Philanthropy/major giving programme, with extensive experience of managing their own pool of donors, as well as a track record of securing five and six figure donations from high net-worth individuals. You will have extensive knowledge of the Major Donor landscape and your fundraising skills will be matched by your strategic planning and leadership abilities.
Refugee Council will provide the most moving and diverse case for support. Cases that encompass innovative external affairs campaigns aimed at engaging policy makers and the public.

We are looking for a Content Coordinator to join our small but dynamic communications team.
As CLAPA’s Content Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for publishing a steady stream of stories, blogs and other engaging content on our website and other platforms.
The UK cleft community is full of fantastic stories waiting to be told, and you’ll be there to sensitively support people of all backgrounds to share these stories with your insightful questions and top-notch editing abilities. You’ll be comfortable talking to everyone from school-age children to NHS cleft surgeons to get the kind of content that will inspire and engage our community.
You’ll be our go-to writer when a new resource needs to be drafted or edited, and you’ll enjoy the challenge of adapting your writing to different briefs and communicating complex ideas to people of all ages and abilities. This is a brand new role to meet rising demand within the team, so you will have a real opportunity to make the role ‘yours’. You’ll have the freedom to try new things, share ideas, learn from feedback, and work with others to solve problems. While you’re expected to be proactive in fulfilling key tasks, you’ll be fully trained and supported in every aspect of your work by the Head of Impact.

The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation has a single, clear vision: a world free of Motor Neuron Disease (MND). In the relentless pursuit of this goal, we are committed to funding research projects to accelerate the development of meaningful treatments, focusing on the projects that are most likely to impact people with MND positively.
The Director of Research is a key position in the organisation that leads our research activities, managing a small team as we invest in a prioritised and focused research portfolio. Working alongside the CEO and senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing a research strategy that fits seamlessly with the Foundation’s vision, ensuring we have the expertise and resources required to support our programme and initiatives.
As someone with experience working in a scientific research role, you will have the ability to interpret, analyse and utilise research findings and developments, with a deep understanding of the drug discovery and development landscape. You will be someone who constantly seeks out new research approaches, methodologies and funding models, ensuring that the Foundation remains at the forefront with its innovative practices. Knowledge of the research grants system is essential; we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running. You will care about the impact of our work, developing an excellent understanding of the MND field and placing those living with MND at the heart of every decision you make, while ensuring all funded projects continue to meet our goals and financial requirements.
Strong communication skills are central to this role. The successful candidate will be comfortable demonstrating our expertise and position in the MND community and communicating developments, insights and critical milestones both internally and externally. Influencing and relationship building will come naturally to you, and you’ll be the kind of person who can work with diverse personalities from a wide variety of professional backgrounds. Playing a key role in championing the Foundation, you will also lead the ambitions of the organisation. Your contribution will be integral to our success.
