The PR team sits within the Comms and Digital directorate. Communications and Digital plays a central role at Dogs Trust. We help people to know, love and understand the charity and take action to support the charity’s work. We use our understanding of Dogs Trust and audience need to produce impactful and creative on-brand communications, liaising with the media and celebrities, and engaging directly with our supporters. We also play a crucial role in evolving the digital supporter experience and use our internal communications expertise to communicate key messages to employees across Dogs Trust.

We all work from home, however travel and overnight stays are required as part of the role. The biennial prizegiving ceremony is also held in London. It would be helpful if you had a full UK driving licence and access to your own car.

About the team
Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.
With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:
- creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
- sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and

New Art Exchange (NAE) is a pioneering creative space in Hyson Green, Nottingham. We’re the UK’s largest gallery dedicated to contemporary visual arts from the Global Ethnic Majority. We set out to reshape the contemporary art narrative by championing diversity and inclusivity and by providing a platform for underrepresented voices in the art world.
Purpose of the role
The Community and Participation Manager will be a key member of NAE’s Neighbourhood’s team, responsible for ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of a wide range of community projects and events that engage and inspire our local communities (predominantly from the Global Ethnic Majority). Based from within NAE’s purpose built creative space, in the heart of one of Nottingham’s most diverse areas - Hyson Green, the post holder will work with local community partners, schools and other key stakeholders to ensure the community programme is representative of the diverse voices from our local communities and has their involvement through all that we do.
Main duties of the role
With strategic oversight from the Head of Neighbourhood develop and deliver a diverse range of activity with and for the community including (but not limited to) workshops, festivals, conferences, and functions, ensuring they are aligned with NAE’s overall vision, goals and budget.
Supporting the Head of Neighbourhoods to identify and secure external funding opportunities, sponsorships, and partnerships to support the events when required.
Act as lead contact with key stakeholders, including community groups, schools, partners, citizen panels, artists, vendors, and local authorities, to ensure smooth collaboration and communication.
Support the Comms team to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to raise awareness of projects and events with a focus on attracting diverse audiences.
Manage budgets and financial reporting for community projects, ensuring that expenses are within budget and that financial records are accurate and up to date. In line with the overarching Neighbourhoods strategy, develop project plans, budgets, and timelines and maintain accurate records.
Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
Lead project staff (including contracting and acting as project manager and day to day contact for them) which will consist of freelancers, contractors, and volunteers.
Track progress, address issues, and produce reports and evaluations for internal and external stakeholders, including NAE’s Senior Management Team and local community leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and oversee organisations database to ensure clean and clear data is being recorded and stored accordingly, draw down monthly reports for Senior Management using BI Reporting and disseminate to data inputters any errors for correction.
· Collate websites update requests and liaise with Communications Team to instigate the changes.
· Proofreading and final point of sign off before Senior Managers.
· Administrative assistance and attendance at annual events/programmes such as World Heart Rhythm Week, Global AF Aware Week, Heart Rhythm Congress, Heart Rhythm Updates, and any other event/programmes or initiatives.
· Diary Management for the senior management team
· Minute taking and writing for Senior Management.
· Management of travel arrangements. Scheduling and tracking domestic and international travel itineraries within several time zones for senior management.
· Management of deadlines for Senior Managers/Coordinators and prompting the team where necessary.
· Supervise the General Administration team to ensure completion of their tasks to a high standard before signing off on their work.
· Assist in answering calls as and when required, taking messages when necessary. Screening and responding as appropriate to incoming emails or calls.

The Role
As a Marketing Officer (copywriting and content) you will build brand awareness and help to ensure the Yorkshire Cancer Research brand is accurately and consistently presented at all times.
Supporting the the Marketing Manager you will ensure consistency in brand messaging, tone of voice and visual brand representation. You will extend the charity’s reach across Yorkshire by supporting the delivery of integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns. You will also communicate effectively to our supporters to strengthen our relationship with them, create high quality and engaging copy, brand and marketing collateral and supporter communications.
Specifically, you will:

Develop high-quality, supporter-focused written marketing communications for a broad range of channels and supporter touchpoints. These shall consistently apply the Yorkshire Cancer Research tone of voice principles, use the key brand messages and always put the supporter at the heart of our charity’s communications.

You will work with the brand team to help to maintain, update and improve our charity’s messaging and will provide training, support and guidance to colleagues as required.

Lead the development of messaging, copy, content and collateral to support marketing and fundraising propositions or campaigns.

Lead the creation of written copy and marketing content / assets (including, but not limited to, case studies, photography, key messages, quotes, claims, digital and printed collateral) to support the needs of colleagues across the charity.

Help develop copy for / lead the creation of key corporate communications, working with relevant Brand & Relationships team members (e.g. Fundraising / Communications).

Support the marketing team to develop a process for sign-off on copy and collateral, delivering a good customer service to colleagues / stakeholders while meeting governance requirements.

This role will develop and implement a strategy to support the organisation (primarily the media, fundraising and individual giving teams) to champion the voices of those who have used our service, or have experience of suicidal feelings within our press activity, cash appeals, fundraising events and campaigns and policy work. The Digital Content Manager role sits in the Knowledge Dissemination Department of the Schools Division. A key ambition of the department is to build and deepen engagement with education staff and their communities, supporting them on a journey to access and connect to all that the division and wider Anna Freud offer.
The Digital Content Manager will play a key role in supporting this ambition by developing a new digital content strategy and planning and overseeing its implementation, working with colleagues across the division and wider charity. The post-holder will oversee and develop website content, resources, toolkits, e-learnings and support departments with their content needs, ensuring consistency.
The successful candidate will be skilled at writing and editing engaging digital content and have experience of using analytics to inform strategy development. They will be able to inform our digital marketing planning, and identify opportunities to create or utilize existing content for PR, marketing and communications.
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week): usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. A minimum of 28 hours will be considered. Flexible working is possible.
