Responsibilities:

These include

1. To actively seek a thorough understanding of the membership base and the issues affecting them, creating member profiles and advising and briefing stakeholders accordingly.
2. To develop a compelling offer by profile / career stage so as to maintain and improve member retention and engagement levels, and to maximise new member acquisition.
3. To maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of services and activities and ensure these are being packaged and communicated in the most effective way.
4. To oversee the implementation of regular market research, including competitor analysis, to identify members/stakeholder needs, to support the rationale for the development of member products and services, and to liaise with and advise other stakeholders as appropriate.
5. To develop member communications in particular around membership renewals and the on-boarding of new members, and to ensure a high-quality member experience.
6. To ensure that membership communications at all touch points within the membership journey or as part of a non-member relationship, remain relevant and up to date.
7. To oversee the new member and renewal process, which is managed by our external partner, and troubleshoot and resolve issues that they cannot

Personal Specification: 

Essential skills, knowledge and qualities: 

1. Experience of working in a customer, member or client facing role
2. Experience of developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with a range of stakeholders
3. Experience of using a CRM management system, preferably Salesforce
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to positively communicate with a wide range of people in a professional setting, with demonstrable ability to communicate effectively in challenging situations
5. Excellent planning, coordination, organisational and time management skills
6. The ability to analyse data and produce reports
7. The ability to take a proactive approach to independent working, managing your own workstreams effectively, and the confidence to take responsibility for tasks and decisions

What you’ll do

ShareAction’s Banking Standards team works towards holding financial institutions accountable for their impact on climate change. We have a history of campaigning on key aspects of banks’ climate strategies – such as their emission reduction targets or fossil fuel policies – and we are gradually expanding our work to include other sustainability themes and banking regulation. We have achieved significant wins, such as contributing to HSBC becoming the world’s largest bank to cease financing for new oil and gas fields, Barclays dramatically reducing its oil sands financing, and mobilising investors to call on Societe Generale to set a renewable energy target.

The team is structured around two main pillars: our campaigning and our research pillar. The research pillar ensures that the team’s campaigning and advocacy work is based on sound analysis and facts. The Senior Research Manager oversees the research pillar, currently composed of three more junior researchers. The Senior Research Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a research strategy that underpins campaign needs for analysis and insight in line with campaign timelines and available resources. You will oversee and contribute to the delivery of high-quality research outputs, including thematic reports, investor briefings, and surveys of Europe’s largest banks, and ensure that they are underpinned by clear and robust research methodologies. Alongside the Head of Banking Programme and the Senior Campaign Manager, you’ll act as an ambassador for the team in external forums, the media, and when meeting with and presenting to external stakeholders, including banks, civil society organisations, and investors.

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated fundraiser to join our successful team as we embark on a major capital campaign (NHM150) to raise £150m to transform our South Kensington site ahead of our 150th anniversary. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role will be responsible for personally securing high six- and seven-figure gift from Trusts and Foundations.

The Senior Philanthropy Manager will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and the rest of the Philanthropy team, feeding into the overall strategy for the team. They will manage a portfolio of funder accounts which deliver long-term, high-value strategic partnerships as well as building new relationships.

The post will also manage a team of 3 – 2x Philanthropy Manager and 1 Philanthropy Executive.

The role requires excellent fundraising skills, with experience in raising and managing high six- and seven-figure gifts. Your key purpose will be to support the Supporter Experience Manager in the delivering an excellent supporter experience for individuals across all fundraising activities. This includes projects related to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices Individual Giving programme, supporter journeys and ensuring Shooting Star Children’s Hospices families who choose to fundraise are effectively supported in their activity. This role will support the charities appeal fundraising programme, working with the Head of Supporter Engagement and Supporter Experience Manager on supporter stewardship.

The Supporter Experience Coordinator will also provide efficient and effective key administrative support to the wider fundraising team, optimising income generation proactivity cross-team. They will support in maximising the potential of our fundraising data, ensuring accurate and effective fundraising finance processes, gift aid maximisation and utilising the fundraising database.

Job Purpose

· To help make SFM the destination for media as the voice for food in schools

· To help increase media coverage for our work across all platforms (print, TV/Radio, digital)

· To develop and maintain our vibrant social media presence

Key Tasks include

· Writing and reviewing editorial, case study and blog content to maintain SFM’s voice

· Work with our Web Developer to maintain the School Food Matters website

· Diary planning to make best use of events and media moments to highlight our work in the media

· Helping to maintain up-to-date and accurate records of media contacts on Airtable

· Produce, edit and co-ordinate video and visual content across SFM’s projects

· Working closely with the Chief Executive on media campaigns

· Exceptional oral and written communication skills in fluent spoken and written English, with strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex data and policies into accessible language and engaging stories and communication materials

· Experience of getting media coverage

· Strong understanding of using social media to engage audiences and achieve campaign goals

· An eye for design and strong grasp of branding, with experience creating visuals using tools like Canva

· Comfortable using content management systems (CMS) to publish and manage web content — we use Drupal

Role summary

The Minster Centre is a small, friendly organisation and the Reception Manager needs to be an adaptable and flexible person who enjoys teamwork within a continuously evolving environment. The Reception Manager role is varied, and you will be expected work with initiative and autonomy to respond to the needs of the Centre.

Background

The Minster Centre is a registered charity based in Queens Park, London NW6 that trains psychotherapists and counsellors and provides an accessible therapy service. As an accredited higher education organisation, we provide in-person and online courses throughout the week and weekend. The Minster Centre provides a psychotherapy and counselling service to the local community and has a number of rooms that are hired out for therapy, training, and events.

The Reception Manager is a critical and central role at The Minster Centre, providing a welcoming service to students, room hirers, therapy clients and staff members that is efficient and aligned with The Minster Centre’s Ethos. As part of this role, you will provide first-line support to tutors and students as well as undertake administrative duties crucial to the running of the Centre. You will also provide support to other staff members where appropriate.

Job summary

The ideal candidate will have previous administration and front of house experience to help ensure that all building users (students, room hirers and clients) are welcomed, that the building is available and set up for training and therapy services, and that the building is closed and secured at the end of the day. Furthermore, they would be organised, have excellent IT skills and knowledge and, ideally, practice of using Zoom. They will have the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure. In addition, they will be able to work autonomously on various tasks and work well in a team. This is a great opportunity for someone with relevant transferable skills to develop those skills further.

Duties and responsibilities

Oversee and manage the Reception Team

• Ensure Reception is always covered by organising a reception rota that covers absence, holidays, etc.

General management of Reception

• Receive and welcome visitors.
• Co-ordinate access to the building, opening and closing of the building.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Order stationary and other supplies as requested.
• Manage petty cash.
• Keep the reception area tidy.
• Ensure there are adequate supplies of daily refreshments and organise catering for specific events.

Event and training support

• Set up for events and assist with special or evening events when requested.
• Organise and keep track of First Aid and Fire Marshal trainings.

Administration

• Manage the room booking system, including the processing of invoice figures in communication with Finance Assistant/Credit Controller.
• Deal with room booking enquiries and bookings for events.
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls, and provide basic information when needed.
• Undertake data entry tasks, or similar, in quiet periods.
• Deal with customer queries or complaints politely and positively.

Facilities

• Work with the Facilities and Membership Manager to source and organise suppliers to meet the various facility needs of the building.
• Ensure that the building has adequate cleaning by working with the Facilities and Membership Manager in communication with Total Clean.
• Conduct daily spot checks of the building and report any significant problems to Facilities and Membership Manager.
• Undertake small repairs of damaged equipment or fixings.

IT support

• Field/triage general IT Support emails with the IT Team.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues on site.
• Support tutors and office staff with basic Office apps, Moodle, Zoom queries (support and training can be provided).
• Provide IT support for tutors facilitating Zoom teaching sessions including troubleshooting.
• Manage tutor Zoom accounts.
• Schedule Zoom sessions.

Student support and progression 

• Ensure that students are enrolled on courses and set up on systems accurately.
• Manage the re-enrolment process between academic years. 
• Oversee the recording of student progression. 
• Liaise with and support the Operations Team in organising the annual Graduation event and ensuring all eligible students receive timely information.
