We are looking for a proactive self-starter to sit within a high-performing team working to raise awareness of SSAFA’s support covering Wales, Overseas, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to those in the Armed Forces Community who need it most.
With the ultimate objective being to grow SSAFA’s presence, profile, and identity, the role is responsible for all marcomms activation in the region. The role holder will work to deliver the central Fundraising, Marketing & Communications strategy.
This role reports to the Senior Storytelling Manager with close alignment with colleagues across the marcomms directorate. The marcomms manager will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns and promoting SSAFA’s fundraising initiatives and services across Wales, Overseas locations, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. You’ll identify the areas of greatest impact and cut through, deliver integrated awareness campaigns and secure media coverage of fundraising events. Crucially, you’ll be able to identify stories which resonate with our target audience and write calls to action.
With a heavy focus on media and PR activity, key to the role is building strong relationships and contacts with relevant stakeholders in your region including media representatives, employees, volunteers, and case study beneficiaries.
About the team
The Communications team is a small but dynamic group of individuals with strong skillsets across Public Relations, Storytelling (case studies) and Internal Communications. The team is a mix of ex-forces and civilians, and they are always sharing knowledge and expertise with each other.
You will work closely across all directorates within SSAFA, with a focus in Wales, to garner information and create compelling marcomms campaigns and activities to raise awareness of SSAFA’s work.

You will be a highly motivated and creative communicator with a proven track record of delivering impactful PR and marketing campaigns. As a natural storyteller with strong media instincts, you will excel at securing high-profile coverage and elevating our brand presence. You will be a confident relationship builder, skilled at engaging stakeholders across the region, from media contacts to volunteers and case study beneficiaries. The role and your key responsibilities
As an Account Manager, your role is to make sure that all partners in your area make the most out of the Unifrog platform. You’ll build and maintain excellent working relationships with your partner schools and colleges, and provide expert guidance on how to embed the platform across all year groups.
You will cover your own area of the country with occasional travel to your partner schools and colleges (on average 1-2 days per week).
Your key responsibilities will include:

Work with schools and colleges to provide resources and strategies which maximise staff and student engagement with Unifrog, identifying and promoting best practice across partner schools.

Deliver targeted training sessions to staff within our partner schools and colleges via workshops and presentations, delivered remotely or in person.

Work with your partner Area Manager to improve Unifrog engagement and achieve a sky high resubscription rate.

Monitor and analyse usage across partner schools and colleges; identifying partners that need additional support to use the platform effectively.

Why Access Social Care Exists
Every day millions of older and disabled people are denied the social care they need. Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, and none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us - we will all need social care at some point in our lives.
We all have a right to hold public bodies to account, but most of us cannot afford lawyers so rely on legal aid. The 92% drop in legal aid cases since 2010 means that we have nowhere to turn. Without access to justice, our rights do not exist. The rule of law is broken.
What we do
Access Social Care provides free legal advice and information for people with social care needs, helping achieve a better quality of life. We work with communities to increase knowledge of the law and our rights. We highlight the gap left by cuts to Legal Aid and provide advice for those who can’t afford it.
With a 98% success rate, our network of lawyers provide access to justice when things go wrong. We collaborate with social services whilst ensuring legal obligations are met. We are working towards a future where social care is adequately funded and we all get the support we need.
We provide rights awareness training to front line managers, and legal advice and support to families and individuals. As well as providing access to justice, our aim is to drive system level change through evidence-led influencing and strategic casework.

With the ultimate objective being to grow SSAFA’s presence, profile, and identity, the role is responsible for all marcomms activation in the region. The role holder will work to deliver the central Fundraising, Marketing & Communications strategy.
This role reports to the Senior Storytelling Manager with close alignment with colleagues across the marcomms directorate. The marcomms manager will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns in the South East and London Region of England and promoting SSAFA’s fundraising initiatives and services. You’ll identify the areas of greatest impact and cut through, deliver integrated awareness campaigns and secure media coverage of fundraising events. About the team

Make a Change
Make a Change is a community-wide, early response approach to people using abusive behaviours (or who are concerned that they might be) towards a current or ex-partner. The model has been developed by Respect in partnership with Women’s Aid Federation England, drawing inspiration from their Change that Lasts approach. It includes three strands: expert support programme for perpetrators with parallel support for survivors, workforce development and community outreach.
Improving the safety, freedom and wellbeing of adult and child survivors of domestic abuse is a key outcome for our work with perpetrators. The Make a Change model is a multi-partner project offering local areas a framework for delivering perpetrator work. Where feasible, we aim to establish partnerships with local survivor domestic abuse service to deliver parallel support for survivors (referred to as Integrated Support Service) as part the expert support strand.
Purpose of the role:
The Senior Communications and Policy Officer will work with the Make a Change team at Respect to advance the development of communication and policy activities for the Make a Change model in project sites and nationally to encourage uptake in new areas. They will also work with Respect’s Communications and Influence leads to ensure alignment with the organisation's broader messaging and advocacy efforts, maximising the impact of Make a Change initiatives. About Aspens
Aspens is a charity that provides high-quality person-centred care and support to individuals on the autism spectrum and with learning disabilities, and their families. Purpose of Role
This role will work with direction from the Marketing and Communications Manager to deliver marketing campaigns to raise awareness of and promote Aspens’ services, income-generation activities including fundraising, retail and hospitality, and recruitment; engage with our internal and external stakeholders; and reach new audiences. Campaign delivery

We are looking for a Conference and Major Events Manager to lead on the delivery of our successful annual conference and other major events.
The role includes, but is not limited to, project management, budgeting and financial management, marketing and promotion, sponsorship and exhibition sales/ coordination, venue selection and contracting, supplier management, speaker liaison, abstract management and delegate administration.
This role will work closely with our Head of Membership Engagement, the chair of Conference and Conference Working Group to deliver an excellent programme and outstanding delegate experience. Sightsavers is looking for a Legacy Manager - a vital role within our in-house Legacy team to manage and operate the administration of all legacies received by Sightsavers
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per year - depending upon experience
Location: UK remote - with occasional travel to Haywards Heath, West Sussex when required
Contract: Permanent
Hours: This is a full-time role with some flexibility around hours worked and lots of home working
Each year Sightsavers receives over £10m from gifts in the wills of our generous supporters. Administering these gifts sensitively and professionally is vital for us to continue to grow this key income stream and eliminate avoidable blindness and promote the rights of people with disabilities through our work.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Legacies, the Legacy Manager will manage and operate the administration of all legacies received by Sightsavers in the UK and Ireland, liaising with Executors, Solicitors, Trust Corporations, together with Legacy Managers/ Officers at other charities.
Key duties include:
• managing and developing our small, dedicated legacy team
• maximising potential funds for Sightsavers, whilst protecting the reputation of the charity
• optimising the collection of legacy income in line with current legal frameworks
• complying with internal and external audit and compliance requirements in relation to legacy administration
• providing a legal and advisory service through the Head of Function
• maintaining all case documentation and records
• responsibility for and managing of the Legacy Officer and Legacy Assistant
About you - skills and experience
We are looking for an individual with outstanding customer service and strong technical and influencing skills as well as bags of tact and diplomacy and a team ethos.
You will have:
- previous experience in Charity Legacy Management or equivalent areas of specialism in the legal sector, ideally with managerial responsibility, with the Institute of Legacy Management Certificate CICLA (Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration), STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) qualification or equivalent
- demonstrable experience of working in a senior position in the legacy department of a charity or Probate department of a firm of Solicitors, Bank or Trust Corporation
- good finance and accounting knowledge, particularly estate accounts, investment management and share valuations
- strong knowledge of relevant Charity Law legislation
- strong knowledge of relevant Probate and Trust Law and procedures
- working knowledge of GDPR
- experience of working with the FirstClass legacy management system (desirable)

The team mostly work from home however, our expectation is that we will need the successful candidate to be able to travel to the offices in Haywards Heath, West Sussex (RH16 3BW) at least once per quarter but there is also the option to work in the office for three days per week, working the other two days from home. It’s an easy 20-minute train journey from Brighton or 45 minutes from London. We’re located close to Haywards Heath rail station and on lots of bus routes. Please note that this role must be worked from within the UK.

The role:
As Risk Manager, you will be supporting our Head of Risk & Assurance in the management of risk and compliance across our global network. You will help ensure our key organisational risks are being proactively identified, managed and reported to safeguard delivery of our vision, mission and strategic aims.
Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders across a variety of geographies and cultures, you will help employees capture and consider the implications of our key organisational risks through regular engagement, oversight of our risk registers and providing targeted reporting and analysis.
With the support of our external brokers, you will also manage our MMI insurance programme and provide oversight and guidance to the wider network.
Key duties:
- Support the Head of Risk & Assurance to evolve our risk management framework in line with organisational culture and growth of the network.
- Provide ongoing guidance to our global teams on managing organisational risks.
- Plan and facilitate risk assessment sessions with teams to map and evaluate operational, financial, reputational, and security risks associated with MMI functions, projects, programmes, and fundraising.
- Analyse risk information from across the movement to produce meaningful and dynamic risk reports that are tailored to the intended audience.
- Facilitate agile reporting and escalation of emerging risks to management.
- Conduct periodic reviews of insurance coverage and brokerage within MMI and Programme Affiliates to ensure coverage remains proportionate and complete.
- Document any risks or gaps within our insurance coverage and work with the Head of Risk & Assurance to ensure they are clearly understood, escalated and responded to.
- Manage the annual renewal process for all relevant MMI policies and perform a coordination role on any changes notifiable to the insurer or insurance claims.
- Provide guidance on our Programme Affiliate insurance programmes, including providing direction on policy coverage and supporting local staff on significant claims.
About you:
With proven experience of working in a risk management role, including developing risk processes and overseeing risk registers, you will be skilled in the development of strong working relationships. You will have strong analytical skills and be confident in challenging and assimilating data to reach conclusions across a variety of functions. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential, and you will demonstrate integrity and a strong detail focus in when handling sensitive information.
