About the role

Following a period of growth, we are looking to hire a second management accountant to our team to increase our capacity and enable us to more effectively partner with the teams throughout the business.

Responsible to the Head of Finance the post-holder will need to:

· Build partnerships with lead managers and their teams to support effective budget management

· Deliver financial reporting required assigned projects including reporting for funders and budget holders

· Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely management accounts including commentaries on variances

· Assist with planning and reporting of the annual budgets

· Assist the Head of Finance in ongoing reporting and analysis

· Support the finance officers as required with an understanding of systems and operational finance

Candidates should have previous management accounting experience in a similar size organisation, advanced level of excel and be fully qualified/part qualified as an accountant under CIMA/ACCA/ACA. Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to communicate financial information to those with non-financial backgrounds.

Up to date knowledge of charity tax rules including VAT and partial exemption, experience of using MS Dynamics, Netsuite , report writing skills and experience of system change/integration will be desirable.

Fundraising Development Manager

Fixed-Term, (Maternity Cover) Part-Time, Term-Time only

Working arrangements

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. Working alongside the Director of Development and the Head of Communications, this role will work across teams to maintain and strengthen engagement through events, communications and corporate outreach. The Engagement and Communications Officer will work to maximise income and support for JUSTICE through events (approximately 45% of the role), communications (approximately 30% of the role) and membership (approximately 25% of the role). The ambition is to grow the programme sustainably in the long term but also ensure the target is met in 2024-25. This year will be about proactive engagement with a wide range of potential supporters, developing programme infrastructure and securing mid-value donations to build the pipeline from the ground up. In year two they hope to drive up gift volume and value.

The Senior Philanthropy Manager will line manage the Philanthropy Officer, supporting their development and fostering an overall culture of collaboration and high performance. The role will also personally cultivate and steward relationships with new and existing major donors, and work collaboratively on a programme of stewardship and cultivation events.

Key responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership and supervision to a number of therapeutic services within Richmond Borough Mind. Our developed and respected Psychotherapy and Counselling Service has been providing long-term counselling interventions to local residents since 1988. The service is self-funded and offers a range of therapies which aim to provide individuals with the support and opportunity to work through their difficulties in depth with a skilled and experienced trainee or fully qualified therapist. Sliding scale rates are offered to make sure that we are accessible to all. We are looking for an experienced finance leader with strong analytical skills, who has good attention to detail but can also step back and see the bigger picture.  You must have excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work with directors and heads of department and people from a non-finance background.

In this role you will be instrumental in enhancing the communication capabilities of our global programs and local partners. You will also be responsible for cultivating and nurturing celebrity partnerships, both existing and new, to support our mission. You'll collaborate closely with fundraising teams to create impactful collateral and refine fundraising strategies.

This role will report directly to our Senior Global Communications Manager but work closely with our fundraising teams and frequently support the rest of the organisation across programmes and global fundraising.

Supporting global programmes and local partners (30%):

• Identify compelling stories and program updates for amplification on Street Child's channels.
• Enhance in-country communication capabilities by creating materials and providing training.
• Assist program participation in external events and integrate communication plans into project timelines.

Developing celebrity partnerships (30%):

• Maintain relationships with celebrity supporters and drive partnership plans.
• Secure high-profile support for our activities and manage social media coverage sensitively.
• Identify and engage new high-profile supporters and advise colleagues on partnership strategies.

Communications resource for fundraising teams (20%):

• Provide communication support for fundraising events and community resource generation.
• Establish communication calendars and plan for fundraising initiatives.

Wider MMC Support (20%):

• Manage our digital asset bank and ensure best practice use.
• Monitor key metrics, deliver the Annual Report, and maintain our brand identity.
• Represent Street Child internally and externally and fulfill other role-related duties.

The location for this role is in London, with a willingness to work in our London office three, or more, days of the week.

Street Child began working in Sierra Leone in 2008 with one project for 100 children. In just 15 years we have reached over 1,000,000 children across more than 20 countries. Powerful, imaginative, professional, and at times brave, communications and story-telling have been a key driver in our early development - and will be equally critical if we are to continue to grow our impact for children living in the world's toughest contexts.
