The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) is a membership organisation and the voice of the profession, with over 4,000 members in the UK and overseas. Our role is to champion the specialty, set standards of training and practice, support the personal and professional development of our members and influence change to make a difference to the lives of patients with eye conditions.

Main Purpose

The RCOphth provides education, support and professional development for ophthalmologists of all grades and across all of their roles. It also contributes to education in eye care and ophthalmology for undergraduate medical students and practitioners in other medical specialties and ophthalmic professions. The RCOphth aims for all its audiences to be able to access the ophthalmology education they need, when and where they want it, and in the form most appropriate for the learner and the learning material.

This role is an exciting new opportunity for you to play a leading part in the development and delivery of our digital learning provision.

You will work closely with colleagues and editors/co-editors to ensure that this membership benefit is valued by the membership and external audiences and their experience when using the platform is optimised.

Key Responsibilities

• Management of the INSPIRE digital learning platform (Brightspace)
• Work with Editors, Co-Editors, Instructors and Contributors on the production of high-quality digital learning materials in terms of content, level and educational rigour
• Increase learner engagement and satisfaction
• Develop mechanism to sell INSPIRE to non-members in the UK and the overseas market
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the RCOphth Digital Learning strategy

INSPIRE Platform

• Provide a skilled helpdesk service to users. This can involve talking users through how to use the platform, and sometimes dealing with difficult technical enquiries that require explanations to non-technical users.
• Manage the progression of materials through the necessary stages of creation and development and ensuring that materials are uploaded onto INSPIRE in a timely manner.
• Develop the functionality of the platform and managing its interaction with other software such as the membership database and collection of payments

Editors/Co-Editors/Instructors/Contributors

• Provide support to Editors and Co-Editors in loading resources onto the INSPIRE platform and integrating them to create learning materials.  This will entail formatting and editing text, images and video for house style and grammar whilst maintaining medical/scientific accuracy.
• Checking consent and clearing copyright/licensing permissions for materials used in INSPIRE.
• Organising Editor and Co-Editor meetings and workshops.
• Create mechanisms to obtain user feedback on learning materials and evaluate the platform to direct change.

Communications/Liaison

• Liaise with internal colleagues in the Department, the Communications Team and external stakeholders in relation to the development and promotion of online resources.
• Liaising with College staff from other departments about current and future projects that require support from INSPIRE or will generate learning materials for the platform.
• Liaise with those organising and delivering courses and webinars to record presentations, select and upload materials, and create specific learning pathways for delegates.
• Work with the Education Co-ordinator to design and produce promotional materials for resources.
• Work with e-Learning for Health (e-LfH) on the materials that the College has on that platform and integrate materials onto INSPIRE. This includes attending the Content Provider Group meetings of which this College is a member as well as other meetings as appropriate.
• Create, recruit to and support a Digital Learning Editorial Board which will be responsible, with other stakeholders, for ensuring materials are up-to-date and quality assured for 100% accuracy.  Once in place, be the staff contact responsible for the effective running of the Board and relevant processes.
• Be a member of and contribute to the INSPIRE Group (operational group of largely staff) and Digital Learning Subcommittee (members and staff).
• Undertake any other duties related to the job purpose which may be necessary in the work of the team.

What you’ll do

As one of our first Primary Schools Partnership Managers, you’ll play a key role growing our newest partner base and supporting primary school partners to make the most of the Unifrog platform and resources. Excellent customer service is at the heart of what we do, and you’ll make sure that all interactions with Unifrog are positive and successful. 

Your key responsibilities:

Sell Unifrog subscriptions to primary schools

• Design and deliver impactful prospecting campaigns and marketing collateral aimed at engaging potential new partners, tracking campaign performance and continually improving your approach to secure demonstrations and drive partnership growth.

• Meet with potential partners on video calls (and sometimes in-person). Understand their priorities, demonstrate the Unifrog platform and resources, and secure their subscription.

• Identify and attend conferences and events to promote Unifrog to primary school audiences, while networking and cultivating relationships for future partnership opportunities.

• Develop a sound awareness of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) and the PSHE Association Framework within the UK. You’ll need this to confidently navigate conversations with relevant contacts at primary schools.

Support primary school partners to make the most of Unifrog

• Set up new partner schools for success. Help them to embed Unifrog across their staff, student and parent community. You’ll deliver an initial staff training session then provide ad-hoc support.

• Proactively work to foster a sense of community amongst our primary school partners and think of ways to promote the sharing and embedding of Unifrog best practice across between partners.

• Achieve sky-high resubscription rates by securing partner renewals when their subscriptions come to an end.

What we’re looking for

• Sales experience: You’ll be responsible for meeting sales targets so sales experience is desirable but not essential.

Who we're looking for

We’re looking for a Communications Lead with excellent written communication skills to help us promote the Centre’s research, campaigns and services across a range of channels. You will ensure our written and visual outputs are of the highest quality, and harness the Centre’s respected brand and reputation to influence change.

Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) is the national charity supporting practitioners, policymakers and people with lived experience to transform services and systems for people facing multiple disadvantage - a combination of experiences including poverty, trauma, homelessness, substance misuse, mental ill health and contact with the criminal justice system.

Harris Hill is supporting the wonderful charity AfriKids, to find maternity cover for their current Philanthropy Manager post, starting ASAP for 9 months, possiibly longer.

Mental Wellbeing Manager

Job Summary:

The Mental Wellbeing Manager will lead Manor Gardens’ culturally competent, trauma-informed mental health work with young men aged 18–25 funded by City Bridge Foundation, and oversee our wider wellbeing programme, funded through other sources including individual giving. They will be responsible for delivering early intervention and therapeutic support for young men from Black and minoritised backgrounds and refugees and asylum seekers, while also managing the delivery of a broader programme of community wellbeing activities for adults.

The postholder will line-manage two Activities Workers and have oversight of a pool of sessional staff and volunteers delivering peer support, group activities, and therapeutic interventions. This role requires a strong understanding of mental health, experience in group and 1-to-1 support, and a commitment to culturally competent, person-centred approaches.

Role Overview and Purpose:

The Mental Health Nurse is a key member of our team, focused on delivering high-quality mental health services to young men in the community. This role requires a proactive approach to engage with individuals who have not previously accessed mainstream mental health support, using culturally sensitive methods to build trust and promote mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

1. City Bridge Mental Health Programme Delivery (50%)

· Ensure the effective delivery of therapeutic and early intervention support for young men aged 18–25, including one-to-one and group support.

· Oversee work delivered by sessional psychotherapeutic staff and ensure quality, safeguarding, and continuity.

· Facilitate or coordinate safe, inclusive peer support spaces in community settings.

· Use culturally competent and trauma-informed practices to build trust and engagement among the target group.

· Conduct initial screening or assessments where appropriate and manage referrals to statutory and specialist mental health services.

· Collaborate closely with the Clinical Lead and Evaluation Lead to ensure the quality, safety, and effectiveness of delivery.

2. Recruit, train and support Peer Mentors

· Recruit two cohorts of 8 young bilingual adult men and women from Black, minoritised and refugee backgrounds, who have lived experience of mental ill health, exploitation, violence or traumas related to their experience of migration.

· Oversee the accredited training of 16 young adults as Peer Mental Health Mentors (two cohorts) in partnership with CANDI and ensure additional training in safeguarding, cultural competency and equalities

· Provide 121 support to Peer Mental Health Mentors and ensure they access clinical supervision

3. Management of Wellbeing Team and Sessional Staff (20%)

· Line-manage two Activities Workers responsible for delivering adult wellbeing activities (e.g. gardening, yoga, ESOL, conversation cafés).

· Provide supervision, direction, and support to ensure delivery aligns with MGWT’s values and trauma-informed approach.

· Oversee a pool of sessional facilitators and volunteers, ensuring coordination, safeguarding, and quality of delivery.

· Support co-production and ensure wellbeing activities are shaped by the voices of service users with lived experience.

4. Monitoring and Evaluation (10%)

· Maintain accurate records of all therapy sessions, assessments, and referrals.

· Collect and analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness of mental health interventions.

· Work with partners at Metropolitan University to ensure the external evaluation of the service.

· Contribute to the development of evaluation reports and share findings with key stakeholders including the All-Age Mental Health Partnership Board and Locality Leadership Boards.

5. Partnerships and Community Engagement (5%)

· Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners (e.g. CANDI, MIND, housing providers, youth and refugee organisations).

· Represent MGWT in borough-wide forums (e.g. All-Age Mental Health Partnership Board, Bright Lives Alliance).

· Promote the service through local outreach, events, and communication with community partners.

6. Organisational and Other Duties (5%)

· Contribute to MGWT-wide initiatives and cross-organisational learning and planning.

· Attend internal meetings, training, and working groups.

· Experience delivering trauma-informed and culturally competent support.

After 10 years the senior project manager has stepped down and FIGO are seeking to use this as an opportunity to review the project delivery model.

The Interim Senior Project Manager role will lead the FIGO Fistula Project on an interim basis and be responsible for the ongoing delivery of the project during that period. In addition, they will be expected to review the project delivery model, ensuring that the project aligns to best practice and delivers in the most effective and efficient manner possible for the future, whilst ensuring agreed project outcomes.
