The Business Engagement team leads the RSPB’s work with the private sector and plays a central role in the charity’s strategy, working with businesses as agents of change. With a clear strategy and strong ethical foundations, the team are well positioned to raise £15 million through corporate partnerships by 2030 – and this role is central to making this happen.
Reporting into the Head of Business Engagement, you will oversee and grow a portfolio of multi-million-pound, strategic corporate partnerships, and ones that have the potential for this, ensuring they deliver both significant income and deep impact for nature. Partnerships include Tesco, Co-op, Ella’s Kitchen, Cemex and Barratt.
Working closely with the Head of New Business & Impact and the Head of Business Practice & Advocacy, you will deliver on RSPB’s Business Engagement Strategy, which focuses on:
- Investing in nature at scale
- Driving business practice change
- Influencing policy and systems
- Reaching new audiences through customers, employees and B2B engagement
As Head of Partnership Delivery, you will:
- Lead RSPB’s most strategic corporate partnerships, overseeing a portfolio that includes Tesco, Co-op, Cemex and Ella’s Kitchen. These relationships are already delivering conservation impact and income, but there is more potential to unlock.
- Manage and mentor a skilled team of four, with a collaborative, empowering leadership style and people-first approach
- Drive income growth and unlock new value from existing partners – including funding for restoration, nature projects, biodiversity in supply chains, engaging with business customers and employees’ and behaviour change initiatives
- Work across internal teams – including Global Conservation, Country teams, Fair to Nature, Policy & Advocacy, Finance and Communications – to integrate technical expertise and policy influence into our partnerships
- Play an active leadership role across the Business Engagement team and wider RSPB, helping evolve their approach to corporate engagement and championing the role of business in nature recovery
Ideal skills and experience:
- A track record of leading and growing high-value, strategic partnerships – ideally at a multi-million-pound scale
- Strong strategic and commercial thinking, with the ability to balance income generation and mission-driven impact
- A collaborative, empowering leadership style with a people-first approach (team leadership experience is essential)
- Experience of influencing and engaging senior stakeholders, both internally and externally

About the role
You will play a key role in driving the continuous improvement and growth of our national partnership through deepening the quality and impact of our local collaboration hubs. Opportunity Identification and Market Research

· Deliver on existing opportunities and identify new ones, including sponsorship activities for events, projects, programmes, work, events and conferences, and smaller strategic roundtables.
Negotiation and Contract Management
· Lead detailed negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring favourable terms for both parties, and oversee contract management to ensure compliance and performance monitoring.
Collaboration and Project Management
· Work closely with internal colleagues to align partnership initiatives with business objectives, managing execution to ensure initiatives align with organisational priorities.

Performance Tracking and Financial Management
· Monitor and analyse partnership performance, using data to refine strategies and maximise impact. Prepare regular updates on business development activities and partnership outcomes.

We are delighted to be working with the British Film Institute (BFI) the leading body for Film in the UK, who are looking for an exceptional Procurement Manager with sound Public Procurement knowledge able to run tenders both below and above thresholds to join their small, but busy team.
As custodians of the Nations Master Film Collection, exhibit film at BFI Southbank, run the London Film Festival and operate the BFI IMAX – the UK’s largest cinema screen, they are also a National Lottery Distributor, and an NDPB (Non-Departmental Public Body reporting into DCMS (Department for Culture, Media and Sport).
Procurement at the BFI is governed by Public Sector regulations procuring goods and services totalling on average £25m a year with all procurement over £10k in value managed by the Procurement team and as such the successful candidate will need to be experienced in public sector procurement. Ideally, you will also be a generalist as the breadth of procurement at BFI is extensive, and you will demonstrate the skills to run both below and above threshold tenders with knowledge of frameworks.
You will have:
- A Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Level 4 Diploma (CIPS) or degree or equivalent vocational training.
- Completed and implemented the government mandated modules training and obtaining a certificate of completion for the new Procurement Regulations (essential)
- Demonstrable experience in a Procurement department and good knowledge and understanding of UK Procurement legislation, including framework agreements and end to end tendering in practice.
- Familiarity with Government procurement related issue and In-Tend or other electronic tendering systems.
- Experience of Financial / Budgetary control systems.

Working closely with colleagues across the Communities and Participation Team and the wider Communities and System Partnerships division, you will leverage existing lived experience networks and community relationships to drive change with and for people living with cancer through strategic programmes of work. You will join and lead matrix teams to deliver participation programmes involving community partnerships. You will think creatively about how to sustainably embed participation across key areas of the organisation including external affairs, corporate partnerships, campaigns, and governance.
