Role Summary
The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) is looking for a Business and Skills Manager based in the North of England to support our mission to help every young person find their best next step. You will play a crucial role in ensuring employer voice, experiences, and skills priorities are at the heart of careers education and the work of the CEC.
Collaborating with the Business and Skills Senior Manager and two fellow Managers, you will ensure our approach to work experience, sectors and skills, including technical and vocational education, are aligned. As part of the wider Network Team, you will support a select number of Careers Hubs across the North of England (final geography to be confirmed upon appointment), driving high-quality employer engagement in careers education outreach.
This is an exciting and important time for the CEC. The Individual Giving & Community Fundraising Manager will have an exciting opportunity to grow World Child Cancer’s individual giving. They will also lead on creating a donor experience that will ensure people can engage with us in lots of different ways, from a lottery or regular support, legacies, community fundraising and events (including the London Marathon).
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Managing and growing individual giving.

Award-winning music education charity, the London Music Fund, is seeking a Fundraising & Data Manager from October 2025 to join our small team of 3. The role is varied and interesting, with a fundraising and donor reporting focus – the post-holder will support the CEO with all fundraising for the charity, including writing Trust and Foundation applications, research on new prospects, and managing donor reporting. In addition, we hold 2-3 major fundraising events each year, and this role would support the CEO in all aspects of event management.

Key Responsibilities:
The charity currently raises c. £750k annually from a variety of sources including individuals, trusts and foundations, corporates and events. The key aspects of this role are:
Trusts and Foundations
- Research and draft Trust and Foundation applications, updating the prospects and pending report, managing pipelines.
- Manage the reporting schedule (with the Programmes Manager).
- Collate data for reports and maintain positive relationships with funders.
Individual Donor Relations:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records on Salesforce and SharePoint.
- Respond to donor enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage donor communications, including thank you letters and updates.
- Assist with donor stewardship activities to build relationships and encourage continued support.

Purpose: The Fundraising and Admin Officer is responsible for delivering key administrative and fundraising activities that support the achievement of Vision Action’s income generation targets. - FUNDRAISING (80% of time)
Trusts & Foundations and Prospect Research

- Maintain and update the pipeline of prospective donors across income streams (trusts, corporates, government, and institutions).

Appeals & Campaigns

Reporting into the Head of Major Gifts, you will be responsible for leading on grant applications from trusts and other grant giving organisations. The grants will often be in the five to six figure range, and will be for a wide variety of activities, including bursaries, the Fonteyn International Ballet Competition, local and national learning and participation projects, and more.
