Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Without our care, these buildings might have disappeared entirely. Instead, they are enjoyed as social, tourism, educational and cultural resources, kept open, in use, and living once again in the heart of their communities.

Overall job purpose

This is a fundamental role within our South regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 29 historic churches across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, ensuring each site achieves agreed standards.

Job Purpose

This role plays a key part in the delivery of Operation Smile UK’s retention programme, generating income and retaining existing cash and regular giving donors. The Giving Engagement Officer (Retention) will support the Giving Engagement Manager to implement multi-channel (mail, telemarketing, web and email) donor retention campaigns, ensuring timely delivery, creative accuracy, and effective stakeholder coordination.

You will be responsible for managing campaign schedules, supporting the creative and data processes, and ensuring delivery partners are aligned. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to deepen their fundraising or campaign delivery experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Delivery & Coordination

· Deliver cultivation and retention campaigns, setting up and developing schedules in Asana and coordinating all required stakeholders.

· Manage timelines to ensure all activity is delivered on time and to plan.

· Compile campaign costs and track expenditure against budgets, flagging issues as they arise.

Creative, Data & Fulfilment Management

• Develop campaign briefs for creative, data output, print and fulfilment for review by internal teams and suppliers.
• Manage the creative sign-off process: collate feedback from stakeholders and ensure briefing accuracy to suppliers.
• Proof all campaign materials to maintain brand integrity and accuracy.

Digital & Email Communications

• Support the development of donor emails in line with agreed campaign structures.
• Coordinate the production and scheduling of email content in collaboration with the communications and data and tech team.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Compile campaign results for analysis and provide reports to inform future activity.
• Work closely with data teams to ensure appropriate segmentation and tracking.

Donor Stewardship

• Support the thank-you process, including personalising and developing donor thank-you cards as required.
• Contribute to improving supporter journeys and experiences through campaign touchpoints, especially for regular givers.

The Church of England is continually striving to improve its safeguarding practices. The 2020 report by IICSA on the Church highlighted failures in respect of child sexual abuse and, more broadly, the challenges facing the Church to get safeguarding right.

The Church's aspiration is that safeguarding is not experienced and approached as a matter of administrative compliance. Rather, it should be what the Church is - something that flows from its core beliefs and values, part of its DNA.

The Church has made important and positive strides over recent years. There is, however, still much to be done to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, and to promote their well-being. The Church is a complex collection of different bodies. Most of the safeguarding work is carried out locally within the 42 dioceses and cathedrals in England. This work is supported centrally by a National Safeguarding Team (NST).

What you'll be doing

The Church of England seeks a committed and collaborative Safeguarding Policy Officer to join the National Safeguarding Team. This role is central to developing, revising, and implementing national safeguarding policies that protect and support all members of the Church community.

Working closely with Safeguarding Policy and Development Leads, you'll ensure policies are grounded in academic research, aligned with legislation and canon law, and informed by survivor experiences and Church-wide learning.

In this role, you will:

• Co-manage the development and roll-out of safeguarding policies, codes of practice and guidance
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including survivors, bishops, Diocesan Safeguarding Officers, and Church bodies
• Ensure policy relevance across dioceses, parishes, cathedrals, religious communities, and theological institutions
• Lead the coordination and improvement of the safeguarding e-manual
• Engage with NCIs departments to embed safeguarding policy into wider initiatives
• Support the NST's learning and review cycle to refine policies over time
• Represent survivor perspectives within policy, training, and quality assurance activities
• Provide briefings and respond to safeguarding queries from Church bodies
• Take ownership of non-legislative content creation related to safeguarding

Key role requirements

• A basic DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.

In this role, you will be an integral member of the Events and Community Fundraising Team. You will work closely with a team of field-based colleagues providing support, ensuring the growth of income and development of long-term relationships with supporters.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the Community Fundraising team, with administration as well promoting fundraising products and campaigns, providing an inspiring supporter journey to our fundraisers, and handling and reporting on data.

The post holder will be responsible for raising funds for Sobus from community fundraising, grants/trusts and developing other key income streams: major donors, regular giving and corporate.

Job description and person specification

This is an exciting and varied role that encompasses all aspects of our fundraising activity and will support the development of relationships with our individual donors, Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Partners, and Community/Faith Groups. Our ideal candidate will have experience of working in a charity or other related organisation, in a fundraising and / or marketing team, and will bring relevant, transferable experience to apply to this role. You will work closely with the fundraising team to research, steward, and help secure funding and on your own initiative. Your work will play a key role in enabling our mission to help unlock lasting freedom among women who have survived trafficking, exploitation and other forms of violence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of our individual giving programme including the planning and delivery of fundraising appeals and campaigns.
• Ensure donations are promptly acknowledged and recorded on our fundraising database, Donorfy.
• Lead the development of our use of Donorfy to record and report on our fundraising data, and manage donor relationships.
• Support the planning and delivery of key fundraising events including our annual Gala fundraising event.
• Conduct periodic and ad hoc prospect research on previous and prospective funders and identify new funding opportunities under the supervision of the Trusts and Foundations Grants lead.
• Support the Trusts and Foundations Grants lead to maintain a calendar of deadlines and reporting requirements
• Coordinate periodic mail outs to Trusts and Foundations in the small/general category.

The Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI) is an independent charity established in 1967. For over 57 years, we have promoted our vision of a society in which people can live safely and are treated with equal dignity and respect, regardless of where they are from or how they came to the UK. To achieve this, we provide legal advice, representation and holistic support to migrants experiencing injustice, poverty, and discrimination; we undertake parliamentary advocacy and expert policy analysis; we speak out and challenge damaging and discriminatory media narratives about immigration; we use law as a tool of resistance;  we work in solidarity with migrants and grassroots groups, and we build campaigns that work towards a fairer approach in immigration and asylum law and policy. Role purpose

This is a new role, where the director will bring together the work of the Advocacy and the Communications teams to lead JCWI's campaigns. The Director leads JCWI’s campaigns and community organising; policy and parliamentary advocacy; working in alignment with directly impacted communities and partners within and beyond the migration sector. The Director builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensures the organisation’s collective expertise influences political debates and the public narrative on migrants’ rights and racial justice.

The role provides strategic leadership for JCWI’s campaigns to drive forward positive change for migrant rights in an increasingly hostile political climate, and supports a wide range of work building campaigns, coalitions and networks to advance migrant justice, ensuring that JCWI is a generous and collaborative partner, working in solidarity with all groups, including grassroots and community groups, unions, faith groups and NGOs.

The Director provides line management and strategic leadership to the Advocacy and Communications Team, overseeing the direction of the team, overseeing the teams' work and ensuring close, collaborative working relationships across all teams.

The Director is a lead spokesperson for the organisation, representing JCWI and our values at public forums, in the media and within coalitions. They will set the narrative and agenda for public discourse on migrant rights and border reform, lead the organisation’s long-term digital outreach and engagement work and support the team to create compelling and accessible content, driving traffic to our digital channels and converting this into successful supporter and donor recruitment and engagement strategies. Purpose: The Fundraising and Admin Officer is responsible for delivering key administrative and fundraising activities that support the achievement of Vision Action’s income generation targets. • Manage donor research and mystery shopping as required, using insights to inform creative decisions. 

• Manage campaign fulfilment. Monitor responses to identify issues and opportunities. 

• From time-to-time support with Donor Care activities if required.

• Ensure cost effective fundraising, manage individual campaign budgets and identify opportunities to improve ROIs. 

• Stay up to date with issues affecting displaced & refugee communities, campaigns from international teams and reports from the field. Scope new fundraising themes. 

• Share creative and insights with UK colleagues, global markets and HQ, participating in training seminars, workshops and international skill shares where applicable.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE  

Essential Experience 

• Experience of working in a fundraising environment. 

• Experience of scoping, briefing in, managing, and delivering fundraising campaigns.   

• Experience of managing a Telemarketing programme. 

• Experience of managing Direct Mail and email fundraising communications. 

• Experience of working with suppliers, including budget management, campaign planning and briefing.   

• Experience of data file development (in collaboration with Data teams)  

Essential Skills/Knowledge 

• Able to act proactively and identify new fundraising opportunities. 

• Able to juggle and prioritise multiple tasks, meeting programme deadlines. 

• Attention to detail and proof-reading skills, and an ability to give coherent and constructive feedback on creative and copy. 

• Sound knowledge of key retention and donor development activities. 

• Up-to-date knowledge of direct marketing best practice, trends and compliance. 

• Numerate, with an ability to analyse results and identify trends. 

• Strong presentation, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. 

• Excellent stakeholder and relationship management. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. 

Desirable Skills/Experience 

• Experience in delivering fundraising activities in response to emergencies. 

• Experience in delivering Regular Giving proposition and/or onboarding journeys. 

• Up-to-date knowledge of direct marketing best practice, trends and compliance.
