Summary of the role:

As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)  Officer focuses on strengthening and supporting the various projects, including the collection of programme wide statistics to detail the reach and results of Muslim Aid UK  (MAUK) programmes. The MEAL Officer will provide guidance, coordination, and technical support to Country Offices and Partner’s MEAL systems through MAUK Programmes, ensuring that the programme has the flexibility to respond appropriately to the context while ensuring quality, effectiveness and responsiveness in line with humanitarian standards, as well as compliance with the Institutional donors.

The position supports a robust monitoring system that facilitates both accountability and learning and includes data collection, analysis, learning reflection and timely action-taking in support of quality service delivery.

You will play a critical role in this unit with an exciting mandate to support and improve the dynamic programmatic portfolio Muslim Aid Implements Globally. You will work closely with partners and country offices and contribute to improving systems within IPD.

About the Role:

1. Collaborate with the MEAL Manager, country offices and partners staff to craft MEAL systems that align with the project, and MAUK Global objectives, are relevant to the context, responsive to assessed needs, are measurable and are in compliance with grant requirements.
2. Ensure that all relevant collaborators have timely access to appropriate information and evidence.
3. Support in the review and prepare timely and accurate MEAL reports, including progress reports and impact assessments.
4. Provide assistance in monitoring programme progress including the design of appropriate MEAL Plans, indicators, targets, baseline data, timelines, data collection tools that can track progress of projects’ progress.
5. Support the preparation of terms of reference of external and internal evaluations, case and impact studies in coordination with the focal points.
6. Support the MEAL Manager on building capacity among staff and partners in MEAL concepts and practices.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate degree in international development, sustainable livelihoods, humanitarianism, or programme management preferred.
2. Understanding of development programmes design, implementation and evaluation.
3. Experience and understanding of monitoring and evaluation of programmes; using of quantitative and qualitative research data collected in support of programme development.
4. Experience developing logical/results frameworks, indicators, and MEAL plans.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective in diverse and challenging environments.
6. Strong measurement, analytical, systematic thinking, planning and organisational skills.

Key Activities

      Donation Processing

• Responsible for the timely recording and processing of all incoming donations (including via our website, bank account, third party platforms and cheques) into the Medair UK CRM (Salesforce).
• Ensure all donors receive gift acknowledgements / thank you letters corresponding to each gift received.
• Maintain up-to-date records of donors, staff and other contacts in the Medair UK database.
• Process and record completed Gift Aid declarations and support in the regular reclaim of Gift Aid.

      Financial Administration

• Inputting of all financial data (income and expenditure) into Quick Books.
• Preparing and following up suppliers invoices for payment.
• Processing expenses claims.
• Managing the banking of income and supporter cheques.
• Support the Head of Operations to implement the month and year end reconciliation process for both Salesforce and Quick Books.

      Facilities & Office Management

• Act as first point of contact for the office and public enquiries, responding to incoming telephone calls and emails.
• Answer basic enquiries about Medair's work and distributing information to supporters and others as required.
• Manage and order office supplies, stationery and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment, administrating risk assessments, H&S and fire safety procedures.

      Information Technology

• Ensuring the maintenance of the IT system and handling minor in-house IT technical issues for staff and volunteers. 
• Liaising with the Global Support Office IT Helpdesk team to ensure the timely set up of IT for new staff and volunteers – i.e. setting up email addresses, and relevant permissions.
• Ensuring that IT permissions are current, and that these are amended as and when staff and volunteers leave.
• Assisting with continuous improvements in Medair UK’s use of IT.

• Supporting fundraising activities with data segmentation and the production of standard and custom reports in Salesforce
• Supporting the production and automation of email newsletter and appeals via Campaign Monitor

Job Title: Cathedral Safeguarding Officer

Reports to: Canon Precentor

Role Overview

The role of the Cathedral Safeguarding Officer is to maintain and build on the strong culture of safeguarding at Southwark Cathedral and carry out an effective safeguarding role as a key visible member of the Cathedral team. The role holder will promote awareness and understanding throughout the Cathedral community (staff, volunteers and worshippers) of the needs of children and vulnerable adults and actively promote the philosophy that their interests are paramount.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and implementation of Cathedral safeguarding arrangements, good practice, policy and training. The Cathedral Safeguarding Officer will make sure that safeguarding risks are appropriately managed and ensure that the Cathedral is applying any emerging national policies, procedures and best practice so that our ways of working continue to remain current.

NB: The successful applicant will play a leading role in the preparation for the upcoming INEQE safeguarding audit of Southwark Cathedral and Southwark Diocese scheduled June 2026. They will be supported in this aim by the appointed INEQE action group.

The role carries responsibility for safeguarding casework, including ensuring that allegations of abuse are promptly and appropriately handled, and where appropriate referred to the statutory authorities. Further, the role holder will effectively communicate and engage with survivors and victims of abuse.

The Cathedral Safeguarding Officer will advise the Cathedral on all safeguarding matters ensuring that all advice is in line with the law, government guidance and national policy and guidance from the House of Bishops. They will be supported in their role by three experienced volunteer cathedral safeguarding representatives who offer knowledge and experience of the cathedral. They will work collaboratively with peers in the Diocese and the National Safeguarding Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Key Duties

1. To lead the Cathedral’s work on the following National Standards:

· Organisational culture, leadership and capacity - Church bodies have safe and healthy cultures, effective leadership, resourcing and scrutiny arrangements necessary to deliver high-quality safeguarding practices and outcomes.

· Prevention - Church bodies have in place a planned range of measures which together are effective in preventing abuse in their context.

· Responding to and managing risk - Risk assessments, safety plans and associated processes are of a high quality and result in positive outcomes. The assessment and management of risk is underpinned by effective partnership working.

· Victims and survivors - Victims and survivors experience the timeliness and quality of Church bodies' responses to disclosures, and their subsequent support, as positively meeting their needs, including their search for justice and helping their healing process.

· Learning, supervision and support – All those engaged in safeguarding-related activity in Church bodies receive the type and level of learning, professional development, support and supervision necessary to respond to safeguarding situations, victims and survivors, and respondents, effectively.

2. To provide in person safeguarding training for Cathedral volunteers & staff.

3. To work closely with the Director of Music and the Sub-Dean to ensure that the children and young people in the cathedral choirs and Sunday school are effectively safeguarded

4. To be responsible for recording, investigating and managing all Safeguarding concerns;

5. To assist the CSL with production of monthly and annual safeguarding reports and to attend Chapter (as required) and Committee Meetings (as directed).

6. To assist in the production of risk assessments, policies and procedures where there are safeguarding aspects to them.

7. To provide advice in relation to obtaining criminal record checks (DBSs) for staff and volunteers.

8. To work collaboratively with the National Safeguarding Team (NST) and other Church of England Safeguarding Officers and attend national safeguarding events and activities as required.

9. To engage in professional supervision and quality assurance provided by the relevant NST Regional Safeguarding Lead.

10. To participate in performance reviews and appraisals

11. To ensure that professional skills are regularly updated through participation in training and development activities

The Role

The Social Value Specialist will support SNG to embed impact measurement and social value into teams across the organisation, providing a central, efficient point of contact that leads on developing systems, processes and continuous service improvement.

You will engage with supply chain partners to ensure the delivery of social value in contracts and enable seamless customer service using digital platforms and relationships with community partners.

Connect with team members across the organisation to deliver impact reports and support in creating our annual ESG report.

The Social Value Specialist will report to the Social Value Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement a community investment evaluation and monitoring framework, in direct alignment with the community foundation strategy and strategy and the corporate plan
• Work collaboratively across the multi-disciplinary community investment directorate and with other internal teams in the customer directorate across localities to embed a framework for social impact and outcomes recording
• Support the Social Value Manager to provide regular social impact and environmental social, governance (ESG) reporting to the communities' leadership team and to senior management and board when required
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation methods and processes for Community Foundation projects and roll out good practice to colleagues and external partners so we can effectively demonstrate our Social Impact
• Lead and support internal teams and external partners in the upload of data such as KPIs onto impact measurement platform for the business, ensuring that information is accurate and easily accessible when required
• Demonstrate strong project management skills to lead and oversee project teams across SNG and with external partners that will bring in external funding
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders, including funders, businesses, local authorities and national agencies as required by the Head of Service and managers
• Work closely with the communications team to enable a coordinated communications approach that raises the profile of SNG's work in communities
• Prepare and present written, financial and statistical reports to internal and external bodies as required and ensure funders requirements are met
• Demonstrate everyone safe and well everywhere, every day by making health and safety a primary consideration in your decision making

 What we need from you

A good understanding of HACT's Wellbeing Valuation and Social Value Insight would be an advantage, but this is not essential. It would be great if you have some knowledge or experience of working in communities, supply chains and or, monitoring and evaluation.

Together for Short Lives is a charity that ensures seriously ill children and their families receive the care they need, especially at the end of life. We work closely with families, care professionals, and services to improve children’s palliative care. We also speak up to government leaders and decision-makers to help make sure families have access to the best support when they need it.

You will support families contacting Together for Short Lives through the Helpline, website and from partner referrals.

This role combines responsibility for grant administration and voucher processing with day-to-day family support hub tasks, including managing email inboxes and co-ordinating communications. The postholder will ensure that families receive timely information, compassionate support, and access to financial assistance, while helping the organisation meet funding obligations and maintain high-quality service delivery.

Kempton Steam Museum, operated by Kempton Great Engines Trust, is home to the world’s largest operational triple-expansion steam engine, which supplied water to much of London until 1980. Our project, Kempton: Clean Water for Life – reaching a wider audience, is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we aim to transform Kempton Steam Museum’s engagement with visitors and the local community, while enhancing support for volunteers and care of collections.

The part-time Curatorial Officer will be responsible for the museum’s curatorial activities, with a specific focus on achieving the required collection management standards for Museum Accreditation with the Arts Council by August 2026. This will include developing curatorial policies following Spectrum guidelines. There will also be opportunities to develop interpretive materials to enhance visitor understanding and appreciation of the triple expansion engines and our collections, to foster relationships with local communities and to provide training and support to volunteers on collections management and interpretation. Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse. 

We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.

We now have a need for an Officer to work closely with the Development Director and CEO in developing our corporate income stream, managing the accounts of existing corporate partners and generating income through securing new corporate partnerships. These partnerships will generate both donations and earned income, with corporate partners contracting Tender to deliver workplace training. You will also work closely with our Corporate Advisory Board, which includes a diverse, ambitious group of professionals who are supporting us to maximise our corporate income stream. This role will involve a diverse range of work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding approaches and workforce training pitches, through to successfully managing relationships with corporate partners.

• Experience in researching and developing prospect lists for priority industries and implementing new business campaigns which will secure multi-year high value partnerships, both for workplace training and donations
