Role Overview: In this new role as Fundraising Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of our fundraising strategy and manage our fundraising portfolio. SCM is looking for a recent graduate to spend a year working with us to help us to continue to build on the work of our successful Faith in Action project. 

Run in partnership with Project Bonhoeffer, a small charitable trust, the project began in 2012 with a vision that Christian students in Britain would have a greater awareness and understanding of Bonhoeffer’s radical approach to faith and discipleship, and its implications for Christian living in the modern world. 

The project has helped to run over a dozen campaigns from Food Poverty to Peace, and had an immeasurable impact on thousands of students through blogs, resources, and relationships. All of this is bringing to light many ‘Bonhoeffers’ of today negotiating the implications on Christian living in the world.

In 2021 we developed the Faith in Action project as a graduate scheme by employing two graduates to work on the project; one to lead on theology bringing a depth of learning and theological refection, and the other to be a campaigns lead, taking us always back out into the world to make a difference.

The project has been very successful, and now we are looking to grow it for further. We are looking for a passionate graduate to join the project for the 2025-26 academic year.

In this role, you will be a theologian to make other theologians, and will provide the framework for students to be able to reflect theologically on their life and modern Christian Living. You will be responsible for growing the breadth of SCM’s Faith in Action resources, and discovering new ways of connecting with the current membership via the trends of social media or engaging in face-to-face reflections. An activist to make other activists, you will coordinate social action for SCM, engaging the membership in social justice projects that maximise our impact in society and the world.

You will work to build relationships between SCM communities and members to equip students with the skills they need to become faith-filled agents of social and political change and lead them in theological reflection to discern their involvement in local and national campaigns. You will also work to develop relationships with other Christian social justice and campaigning organisations to create opportunities for students to put their faith into action. In all of this, you will be supported by our small but perfectly-formed team, who will share your values and fully understand your aims in this project.

The role will require some travel within Britain, as well as semi-regular visits to the office in Birmingham, which may also include an overnight stay. All reasonable expenses for travel and accommodation will be reimbursed. Some evening and weekend work may be required for which time off in lieu will be given.

About the Role

Job Purpose:
The Evidence and Impact Specialist drives impact modelling and analytics to showcase the clear health, economic, and social value of SRHR investments—demonstrating MSI’s transformative impact through compelling, data-driven evidence for donors and stakeholders.

Measures of Success:

• Deliver robust impact estimates and cost-effectiveness analyses that unlock funding and drive investment.
• Communicate MSI’s value with clarity and impact to diverse audiences—donors, policymakers, and partners—through persuasive data stories and presentations.
• Support high-performing analytics teams to consistently deliver timely, high-quality technical outputs that enhance MSI programme effectiveness and efficiency.
• Lead MSI’s operational monitoring, evaluation, and learning agenda to ensure the systematic capture of programme insights and robust evidence generation that drives both improved programme delivery and supports future funding opportunities.

To perform this role, you’ll need the following skills:

• Advanced modelling and analytical expertise, including interpreting complex data and conducting impact, equity, and cost-effectiveness analyses. Proficient in DHS and PMA datasets, statistical software (STATA or R), and advanced Excel. Experienced with quantitative methods such as Interrupted Time Series Analysis and multilevel regression.
• Deep knowledge of SRHR impact evaluation methodologies, particularly in low-resource settings.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, evidence-based narratives tailored to donors, policymakers, and partners—translating complex data into accessible and compelling stories. Confident public speaker.
• Proven effectiveness in stakeholder engagement, with experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior audiences.
• Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills, demonstrating agility and responsiveness in dynamic, changing environments.

To perform this role, you’ll need the following experience:

• At least 6 years of experience in evidence generation and impact modelling within global health. Experience in the SRHR sector is strongly preferred, but not essential.
• Proven expertise in managing complex modelling projects and methodologies such as multi-sectoral impact evaluations in development contexts
• Experience presenting to diverse and senior audiences and have led meetings to facilitate insight generation and model development
• Experience with donor engagement and high-value project management, including reporting, and delivering strategic deliverables.
• Proven ability to work effectively across cultures, providing technical support and capacity building

Formal education/qualification

• Advanced degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Demography, Health Economics, or a related field.
• Additional qualification or formal training in impact evaluation is desirable.
• Proficiency in French is highly desirable (please specify level in your application).
• Additional training or qualifications in, impact evaluation and communication, data visualization (e.g., Power BI), and advanced Excel skills are an advantage.

Full-time: 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: £40,000 - £51,000 per annum for UK based candidates. Discretionary bonus + benefits.

Job Title: Floating Support Worker

Location: Hybrid working with a requirement to occasionally work at Head Office (Vauxhall, London) and co-locations across London
Salary: £28,857.12 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, which may not be applicable depending on your home location and any agreed permanent homeworking arrangement

We are recruiting for Floating Support Worker who will support the Ascent Pan London Service in building sustainable referral pathways and joint working protocols with a range of partners working with survivors of domestic abuse.

You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of  domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities.

You will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. You will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player.

All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the feminist values of empowerment and equality which underpin all of our work.

Successful applicants will be expected to work within Refuge’s Values and Behaviors Framework and demonstrate these in their everyday work.
