Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Governance

• Work with the Board of Trustees to set and deliver the charity’s vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
• Provide clear, evidence-based advice and recommendations to the Board, ensuring effective governance and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Position the charity as a recognised leader in tackling inequality and poverty in the borough, particularly the North Kensington area.
• Maintain financial oversight taking a strategic approach to managing Dalgarno Trust’s finances in a sustainable way – ensuring adequate reserves are maintained.
• Ensure effective short, medium, and long-term financial planning is in place throughout the different levels of the organisation. Provide effective scrutiny by working with Dalgarno Trust’s accountants and finance personnel.

Income Generation & Fundraising

• Lead a sustainable income generation strategy, including accessing trust and foundation fundraising, corporate sponsorships, statutory grants, and social enterprise opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with funders and donors to maximise opportunities for growth and diversification of income.
• Ensure effective financial management, monitoring, and reporting of a c.£750k annual budget.

Partnerships & Place-Leadership

• Develop and maintain partnerships with voluntary, public, and private sector organisations to aid joint delivery of services.
• Represent the Dalgarno Trust in local strategic forums, influencing public policy and service design to reflect community needs.

As Behaviour Officer, you'll take the lead, figuratively and literally, when it comes to the assessments of our dogs and their training programmes. You'll play a key role in supporting adopters, during the adoption process and after rehoming, to ensure that every dog has the best possible chance of successfully settling into their new life.  

What does this role do?

As a Behaviour Officer you’ll: 

• assess the behaviour of dogs, before they enter the centre and during their stay, to identify potential behaviour needs, as per Dogs Trust Standard Operating Procedures. 
• design and implement Behaviour Modification Programmes and training plans to enhance each dog’s chances of rehoming, in support of the centre’s priorities based on individual dog welfare and requirements.
• oversee and support the implementation of training and behaviour plans by colleagues. Work with other departments to modify and seek guidance. 
• monitor the progress of individual training and rehabilitation programmes and maintain detailed records of the progress of each dog. Provide professional training, support and assessment colleagues. 

Could this be you?

To be successful in this role, you'll have a thorough knowledge of dog behaviour and welfare, including understanding the principles underlying learning and the ability to write training and behaviour programs. You'll also have achieved ATBC competence at Animal Trainer level and have achieved specific competences from the Behaviour Technician standard. You'll have excellent communication skills with the ability to handle delicate situations sensitively and professionally and have the ability to and experience in handling difficult dogs. But above all, you'll be passionate and committed to the work of Dogs Trust.

A full, manual driving licence is also essential, as driving will be a part of the role.

The Role 

The Senior Digital and Content Manager leads the development and delivery of Malaria No More UK’s digital content strategy — shaping how we inspire action, influence decision-makers and elevate diverse voices to drive progress against malaria. 
 
This is a pivotal role at a pivotal moment. You’ll design and deliver a digital engagement strategy that advances our advocacy and policy change goals, responds to the fast-moving communications landscape, and builds understanding, belief and momentum for investing in the fight to end malaria. 
 
Combining strategic thinking, creative storytelling and digital innovation, you’ll position Malaria No More UK as a bold, credible and solutions-focused voice in the global malaria fight. Managing one staff member (Digital Engagement Officer), you’ll collaborate across the organisation to ensure our digital strategy delivers measurable influence and impact — while staying true to our brand voice: togetherness, momentum and possibility. 

The average day in this role will be changeable, so being flexible and good under pressure is essential. From crafting last minute social storytelling posts, to overseeing creative content work being developed, looking ahead to create strategic plans for major events and campaigns coming up, to feeding back on creative work and liaising with multiple partners for sign off. Role purpose 

We are seeking an organised, data-driven, and creative Senior Individual Giving Officer to support the delivery of high-quality fundraising campaigns that inspire new and existing supporters to give. You will play a key role in developing excellent supporter and stewardship journeys that encourage repeat gifts and maximise supporter lifetime value.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging direct marketing campaigns across print, digital and email channels, with a particular focus on one-off appeals, regular donations, and incentivised giving products. 

Working closely with the Marketing & Campaigns Manager and Marketing & Communications Officer, you will develop audience-led supporter journeys, compelling fundraising copy, and test-and-learn approaches to build lasting supporter relationships and grow income for Southampton Hospitals Charity.  You will also support budgeting and performance reporting, analysing campaign results to inform and optimise future activity. 

Key tasks and responsibilities  

Campaign development and delivery 

• Work with the Campaigns & Marketing Manager to plan and deliver a calendar of direct marketing campaigns across print, email, and digital, focused on income generation and donor retention. 

• Work with the Marketing and Communications Officer to develop compelling, supporter-centred fundraising copy for appeals, donation forms, landing pages, emails, and stewardship content. 

• Coordinate campaign production, from creative briefing to print and fulfilment, working with suppliers, designers, and mailing house partners as needed.

About the Role

Our Communications Assistant will amplify all the great things the Foundation does. They will be responsible for JPF’s youth-focused social media channels (Instagram, TikTok etc.), creating marketing material focused on inspiring and motivating young people to engage with the Foundation, and our community development.
