As our first Commercial Director, you'll have the autonomy to establish commercial capability from the ground up. You'll build partnerships with health and care organisations, create revenue streams that strengthen our mission including leading the development of training courses that reach new audiences: supporting our members to prevent infections and save lives.
This is a unique opportunity to combine commercial expertise with charitable purpose. - Build corporate partnerships: Build relationships and partnerships with businesses that have an interest in infection prevention
- Enhance events revenue: Enhance and develop sponsorship opportunities across our annual conference, events, and webinar programmes
- Explore new opportunities: Identify emerging revenue streams from consultancy, publications, and membership growth into new professional sectors
- Shape training course development: Scope and develop infection prevention courses that generate income whilst advancing our educational mission
Who We're Looking For
You're an experienced commercial professional with a proven track record of generating revenue through partnerships, training programmes, or business development. You might come from membership organisations, professional bodies, charities, education or healthcare settings, or from B2B commercial roles with clear transferable skills.
You have the entrepreneurial confidence to build something new, the strategic thinking to identify opportunities, and the relationship skills to turn those opportunities into sustainable partnerships. You're equally comfortable developing pricing models and financial projections as you are crafting compelling partnership proposals.
Most importantly, you understand that commercial success and charitable purpose aren't opposing forces – they're complementary. You want your commercial expertise to strengthen a charity's capacity to serve its members and achieve its mission.

About the opportunity
Action Tutoring is the largest tutoring charity in the country. At the heart of our work is closing the attainment gap for pupils facing disadvantage in the UK by harnessing the power of tutoring. We are seeking an inspiring and strategic Interim Chief Executive Officer (maternity cover) to lead our growing charity, ensuring the charity continues to achieve benchmark-beating results for the pupils we support. In 2025-26, our work will reach 7,000 pupils supported by more than 80 staff and 2,500 volunteer tutors. Duties and Responsibilities
The Interim CEO (maternity cover) is responsible for maintaining the high performance of the charity, overseeing the delivery of key strategic goals in line with our mission and aims. During the period of this appointment, you will lead the organisation through its annual school sales process (Spring 26), ensure the successful delivery of a key strategic project testing AI in our delivery model (Summer and Autumn 26) and set the organisation up for success in a new academic year (Autumn 26).

This newly created role within St Luke's is supported by a generous grant from the Henry Smith Foundation to develop our wellbeing programmes over the next three years. The Associate Director will engage with dioceses and individual clergy as they explore and embed our wellbeing programmes.
The post holder will represent St Luke's and our Christian ethos within senior diocesan teams and help shape and deliver our strategic vision for flourishing clergy. This role will support the advancing clergy reflection programme and support dioceses, other networks and communities and Theological Educational Institutions in establishing wellbeing practices.
The role is home based with travel around the UK as required. There will be a requirement to be in London at least once a month for team meetings.

Specialist Debt Adviser

I'm partnering with a well-established community charity in North West London to recruit a Specialist Debt Adviser for an impactful, resident-focused project. This is a brilliant opportunity for an accredited adviser who wants to deliver high-quality, FCA-regulated debt advice as part of a supportive, community-centred team.
Working on-site three days a week, you'll provide comprehensive casework support to local residents - helping people stabilise their financial situation, maximise income, negotiate with creditors and access the wider wellbeing, training and support services available through the charity and its partners.
You'll be employed on a fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent (subject to funding), and will benefit from dedicated professional supervision from a specialist debt-advice organisation.
The role
As the Specialist Debt Adviser, you will:
Deliver full, regulated debt advice in line with FCA standards and the Debt Advice Quality Framework
Manage a varied and ongoing caseload, conducting weekly face-to-face appointments
Prepare detailed financial statements, negotiate repayment plans and advocate for clients
Support income maximisation (benefit checks, grants, vouchers, DHPs, etc.)
Maintain high-quality case records and ensure compliance with FCA, GDPR and internal standards
Work closely with the wider team to provide holistic, joined-up support
Contribute to reporting, audits and service quality improvements
Provide guidance to junior staff or trainees where required
About you
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
Accreditation as a Debt Adviser (CMA/IMA/Wiser Adviser/Citizens Advice or similar)
At least 1-2 years' experience providing comprehensive, regulated debt advice
Strong casework skills and confidence handling complex, sensitive cases
Excellent communication skills and a non-judgemental, empathetic approach
High levels of accuracy, organisation and the ability to work independently
Solid understanding of legislation, case law and policy affecting debt advice
Experience using case management systems and analysing financial information
Commitment to continuous professional development
A DRO Intermediary accreditation is desirable but not essential.

AFRIL is recruiting for an experienced, dynamic Senior Caseworker to join our growing Casework Team. The successful candidate will provide advice and casework to asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in South East London on matters relating to housing and homelessness, welfare benefits, NRPF support, community care and asylum support. The candidate has the exciting opportunity to lead on the delivery of AFRIL's Casework Drop-in for asylum seekers and recently granted refugees, supported by a Caseworker and Outreach Volunteers. The post holder, if not already Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) accredited, will also be supported to obtain IAA Level 2 accreditation, to embed some immigration legal advice into their broader caseload.
AFRIL’s Casework Service also uses casework trends and data to work with community members in order to engage in policy and systemic change. Utilising casework and community co-production, the service has created sector wide resources on asylum support, engaged in strategic litigation and successfully influenced local, pan-London and national policy outcomes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to feed into AFRIL's broader policy work, and develop local partnerships.

About the role
The Researcher is a new, important post at Arthritis UK. Working within our Health Intelligence team, you will lead on providing expertise on the latest relevant research evidence, providing a responsive, robust and balanced assessment of the available evidence and any key gaps to shape the charity's UK advocacy agenda, and drive organisational priorities. Working across a range of issues you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the experiences and needs of people living with arthritis are understood and acted upon, and that arthritis is taken seriously across the UK.
About you
If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we'd love to hear from you:
- In-depth knowledge and experience in working in health-related, research.
- Experience in the synthesis and evaluation of research evidence across a range of sources (including grey literature), including in the design and delivery of rapid reviews.
- Experience in communicating clearly and succinctly to non-technical and non-expert audiences, through both written formats (e.g. briefing papers) and verbally (e.g. via presentations and meetings with senior stakeholders), with a robust approach to accessibility throughout communication.
- Demonstrable understanding of how research can be used to shape policy and practice.
- Experience of consistently applying a range of techniques and research methods applicable to framing research questions, evidence review and research evaluation.
- Able to communicate findings and conclusions clearly to non-specialist and specialist audiences.

These are innovative roles to develop social prescribing in the local NHS. Based in one of the six Primary Care Networks (PCN) you will work in different GP practices across that Network to deliver their specific priorities. You will join a team of ten Social Prescribing Link Workers working in Haringey PCNs and be part of a wider community-based Borough team which offers information, signposting and short-term support across the eight localities in Haringey.
Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to non-medical Social Prescribing Link Workers, who give time, focus on ‘what matters to me’ and take a holistic approach, connecting people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support.
Social prescribing can help to strengthen community resilience and personal resilience and reduces health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long-term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.
At the centre of the social prescribing process is the Social Prescribing Link Worker, working with GP Practices in a Primary Care Network, who connects patients who are referred to a range of activities and services in the local area depending on their needs, interests and capacity for engagement. This is a complex role as the SPLW will need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with the patient and have a comprehensive knowledge of the services and activities available in the local area.
