Key Responsibilities:

• To develop, implement and manage regional (community) fundraising the associated income and expenditure budgets, ensuring that all budget targets are achieved 
• To evaluate regional fundraising plans on a regular basis and make changes when necessary
• To cultivate relationships with existing individuals, fundraising committees, businesses, schools and community groups by executing exemplary, personalised stewardships in order to maximise fundraising income, and to ensure their life long support.
• To research and identify prospective new regional fundraising opportunities and activities and to produce funding proposals for donors and prospects, ensuring that the potential of these sources is fully maximised 
• To secure charity of year adoptions for organisations, including community groups, golf clubs, schools and smaller companies.

• To work closely with the Supporter Services Team and to uplift support under £1,000.
• To actively promote and recruit participants to the Event Programme as per event target (to be outlined) for each activity.

Hours and Benefits:

This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. You will work Monday – Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required. 

This role offers hybrid work, working 3 days in the office at our Hospices in Sutton Scotney, and 2 days remotely. Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to travel around the region to meet community leaders, donors and supporters. 

Salary - up to £30,750 FTE, dependent upon experience.

This role will predominantly be working from our Day Centre but will also include work with night shelter clients.

Within the Day Centre you will be required to provide advice and advocacy and casework to people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness and maintain a caseload of clients working within a fast paced and dynamic small team. You will support the smooth running of the day centre provision and have a commitment to supporting vulnerable clients in a person-centred way. 

To be successful in this role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This role is suited to someone with a problem solving, positive attitude, who is passionate about supporting marginalised people.

The Role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and experienced support worker to join our Young People Support Team based in Hackney. You will provide client directed, person centred support to help young people achieve personal goals and aspirations for independent living, training, employment, and education. You will assist and collaborate with young people to create and carry out a support plan designed around their needs and aspirations, providing information and inspiration, practical support, innovation, and encouragement. You will have an individual caseload but will work alongside a team of Support Workers, with similar client groups, working to the same principles and goals.

You will work a combination of office, client-home, community, and home-based working. Causeway is a 4-day week employer, and this role is part-time 16 hours per week, worked over 3 days. Your working hours will be Wednesdays 11am-3pm, Thursdays 10am-4:30pm (with an unpaid 30 minute break), and Fridays 10am-4pm (with an unpaid 30 minute break). Head of Supported Living (Gloucestershire / Hertfordshire)

The post will be responsible for a significant budget and will require the financial acumen to manage this effectively.

What you’ll bring to the role:

·Professional Housing Qualification level 5 or above, with knowledge of housing management and housing legislation.

·Safeguarding Adults Level 5 or equivalent / Leadership in Health and Social Care level 5 or equivalent – are desirable not essential to the role

·Experience of leading housing management services within a context of delivering supported living.

·Experience and knowledge of Care Quality Commission regulations as they relate to supported living would be a distinct advantage.

·Experience of working and leading teams in not for profit and voluntary sector organisations which deliver services for adults with learning disabilities and autism.

·Experience in significant budget management responsibilities.

·Experience of successfully leading teams to affect and embed change through powerful communications and engagement.

·Experience in the development and implementation of policy and procedure.

·Experience of leading teams over a wide geographical location combining hybrid working styles.

Location & Travel - Hertfordshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire

The role will cover our communities at Stourbridge (West Midlands), Gange Village & Oaklands Park (Gloucestershire) and St Albans & Delrow, Watford (Hertfordshire). You will be based at one of the communities within the region, with regular travel between all our communities. You will be required to attend quarterly Leadership Away days and other meetings which will require overnight stays.

St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. Job Summary

Young Responders is an exciting project that started delivering street first aid sessions during 2023 as part of St John Ambulance. The project was created to engage and empower young people from diverse communities who face the greatest health inequities to become active health citizens, through practical physical first aid and mental awareness sessions relevant to the challenges they face. 

The programme is aimed at young people aged 11 to 25, who would not typically come through our doors delivering first aid training to young people from under-served communities. In 2023 the Young Responders team delivered session to almost 16,000 Young People and over 2024 they aim to reach a further 20,000 Young People, if not more. 

Working as part of the team as a Facilitator you will support the growth of the service and be responsible for directly leading and delivering first aid training sessions with community organisations and educational settings. This role will also offer pastoral support to our growing Volunteer team offering mentoring and guidance to those delivering sessions supporting their welfare and wellbeing. 

This is a 35 hours per week role and we are looking for someone who is empathetic and feels passion about supporting Young People. The role is to cover London so travel is essential. 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Experience in Youth Work or working with young people in a community context
• Experience of planning and/or the delivery of community-based training
• Experience of safeguarding and willing to undertake Safeguarding training relevant to the role
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, verbally and in writing
• Understanding of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and issues around social mobility
• Ability to work well in a team and able to motivate young people and volunteers
• Due to the nature of the role you will need to hold a full, UK driving licence (maximum 6 points) and have access to your own vehicle

About the Role 

• Work collaboratively with the Project Coordinators to plan the delivery of young responder first aid sessions in the community
• Work with the Partnerships Manager to identify and build partnerships with local organisations and educational settings to support project delivery
• Engage with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally to St John Ambulance
• Liaise with the Delivery Teams to promote the project in the community
• Effectively provide pastoral support and guidance to the Volunteer team to ensure their welfare and wellbeing
• Be aware of the contextual safeguarding issues that might arise, raising concerns and supporting young people in accordance with St John Ambulance policy
• Ensure training sessions held in the community are risk assessed and registered as per current St John Ambulance procedures

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for three Support Workers (Community Connectors – Assessment and Engagement Team) to join our team. We have three positions available in Aylesbury.

Your challenge? To provide advice, support, advocacy and key work for recovery plans and undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed. And, all the while, we’ll expect you to operate in a way that recognises and values diversity and understands the functional model of substance use, the Recovery Agenda and the problems caused by alcohol and drug misuse.

Preferably with a NVQ 2/3 in Social Care, or willing to attain this, you are used to working to policy and procedural requirements that include child protection, vulnerable adults, confidentiality and health & safety. We’ll also be looking for good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and fulfil data requirements. A flexible approach is important too, as is a commitment to taking a client centred approach to providing services and working in a way that recognises and values diversity.
