About Changing Faces
Changing Faces is the UK’s leading charity for everyone who has a mark, scar or condition that makes them look different (a visible difference). Being different in a society where there is such pressure to look a certain way is extremely difficult.
People with visible differences are vulnerable to isolation, loneliness, social anxiety and low self-esteem. They face staring, unwanted attention and even bullying and hate crime. They experience lowered expectations in education, problems getting work and stereotyping in the media. This can have a devastating, and lasting, impact on their wellbeing. Adults often come to us, having never spoken to anyone about the psychological impact of their visible difference before.
We provide unique practical, social and emotional support for people affected by visible difference; we challenge discrimination and campaign for a world that respects difference.
Our services build confidence and resilience – giving people the tools to manage their feelings, cope in different social settings, handle other people’s reactions or deal with life, education, work and relationships.

Global Head of Supporter Care
Home-based (UK preferred), with occasional travel to London (expenses covered)
Contract: 12-month fixed-term maternity cover (potential for 15 months depending on start date)
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week with flexible working
Salary £45,000-£50,000 per annum depending on experience
Are you an experienced self-motivated strategic thinker with an understanding of supporter engagement principles, and a passion for animal welfare?
Charity People are delighted to be partnering with a progressive, dynamic, and global organisation dedicated to ending cruelty and restoring respect for all animals throughout Asia.
Since 1998, they've been at the forefront of animal welfare, with a landmark mission to end bear bile farming. With three sanctuaries already open and a commitment to bring home every last bear by 2026, this organisation truly gets things done. Their values are rooted in compassion, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and they are proud to be known for their supportive, inclusive culture and ambitious, forward-thinking team.
The Global Head of Supporter Care will lead a team responsible for delivering exceptional supporter care and gift processing across five key fundraising markets. You'll work closely with colleagues in Data, Insights & Technology, Individual Giving, Global Partnerships, and Communications to develop supporter relationships, inspiring a deeper partnership with the organisation. This is a unique opportunity to shape a global supporter care programme and build a best-in-class experience for a loyal and passionate donor base.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and inspiring a strong, dedicated and high-performing Supporter Care and Gift Processing Team to deliver high-quality supporter care
- Overseeing accurate and efficient gift processing and income acknowledgement
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless donor journeys and appeal responses
- Monitoring supporter feedback to inform strategy and increase retention
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation across supporter care operations
You'll bring strong experience in a customer service role, ideally within a fundraising or supporter care environment. You're highly organised, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-working setup. Your communication skills are second to none, and you're known for your empathy, ability to stay calm under pressure, and ability to build strong relationships across teams and time zones.
You'll be a strategic thinker who can translate vision into action, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a passion for continuous improvement. Experience managing people (especially remotely) is a plus, but more important is your drive, initiative, and hunger to grow in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
This role would suit someone looking to step up into a leadership role, likely from a Supporter Care Manager position, who is excited by the opportunity to shape a global programme and make a real difference for animals.

Hybrid working with two days per week in Peterborough
Full-time, 35 hours per week
Are you passionate about international development and ensuring marginalised communities are able to access global health services? Do you want to be instrumental in ending one of the world’s most ancient diseases? Are you able to walk alongside our partners, across Africa and Asia, offering prayer, compassion and technical support, as they strive to transform the lives of some of the world’s most marginalised people? Is God calling you to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and serve those affected by leprosy?
Today, one person every two minutes is diagnosed with leprosy. It’s a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. Left untreated, it causes permanent disability. Stigma means that people affected by this disease are often rejected by those closest to them and excluded from basic services.
Within our dynamic programmes team, you’ll be working alongside supportive colleagues who are passionate about ending leprosy and transforming lives. We have a culture of learning and growing together and will provide training in best practice, ensuring excellence in all we do. You will have at least three years’ work experience in an international development programming role or similar setting (ideally in the global South), with a degree in a relevant discipline. You will have monitoring, evaluation and research skills, with the capacity to work on your own initiative and will be an excellent cross-cultural communicator. We are particularly interested to hear from people with expertise in disability services, public health, research, quality assurance, or social enterprise development. However, those with experience in community development and working in fragile states would also be most welcome to apply.
You will be responsible for the development of UK-funded programmes, supporting the capacity development of overseas partners and managing income streams from large donors. In addition, you will champion our work on the global stage and engage in national and global advocacy on Neglected Tropical Diseases (including leprosy), global health and disability issues. This will require travel overseas for approximately eight weeks per year.
The Leprosy Mission Great Britain (TLMGB) is a leading international Christian development organisation with over 150 years’ experience and is part of The Leprosy Mission worldwide family. TLMGB serves the poorest of the poor in 9 countries across Africa and Asia, raising funds and developing partner capacity to provide life-changing healthcare, training and job opportunities for people who have been excluded and rejected.
TLMGB has a zero-tolerance approach to any harm to, or exploitation of, our beneficiaries, staff and communities we come into contact with. Recruitment to roles within TLMGB includes, in particular, criminal record checks and the collection of relevant references. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a work health assessment questionnaire.
TLMGB is an explicitly Christian charity. Working alongside our Christian partners in often challenging and difficult circumstances, we come together regularly in prayer and also attend devotional prayer meetings. There is also an expectation to offer prayer to support our partners overseas and as such this role carries an occupational requirement to be a practising Christian. We are committed to diversity and welcome applications from appropriately qualified candidates from all sections of the community who have a right to work in the UK.
To apply and for more information on this role and the work of TLMGB, please visit our website.
Closing date: 9am on Friday 25 July 2025.
Pre-liminary interviews via Zoom: Date to be agreed.
In-person interviews at the Peterborough Office: Wednesday 6 August 2025.
We may close the vacancy early depending on the numbers of applicants. To avoid disappointment please apply early.
