The MEAM coalition has worked for fifteen years across more than 50 local areas in England, supporting local partnerships to tackle the structural and systemic issues that cause and sustain multiple disadvantage. We run the national MEAM Approach network, supported Fulfilling Lives from 2014-2022 and hold the current support contract for the Government and The National Lottery Community Fund’s Changing Futures programme. Our position enables us to bring learning together from these programmes to understand what drives change and allows people to make improvements in their lives.

This new role will be responsible for leading the implementation of our new network membership structure, and ensuring members are supported to actively participate in the MEAM Approach network. As the Membership Manager, you will build relationships with our network members, oversee communications to the network, manage our online community platform, and identify ways in which we can further support network members through commercial opportunities.  You will combine your deep knowledge of multiple disadvantage with a curious and collaborative approach to your work, demonstrating a genuine interest in developing and contributing to the growing knowledge and experience in systems thinking and systems leadership across the team. You will share your reflections and insights generously with the team and be open to positive challenge as you develop your practice. 

Your approach to work will embrace and embody MEAM’s unique approach developed over the last fifteen years: highly collaborative; practical yet ambitious support; and focused on rebalancing power in systems through meaningful coproduction. You will be firmly committed to improving the lives of people facing multiple disadvantage and committed to helping us drive forward areas of our work where we have made some progress but more needs to be done, in particular around equitable access to effective support for women and racially minoritised groups and deepening our understanding of multiple disadvantage through an intersectional framework.

You will feel competent delivering work remotely and online, but will also be willing to travel nationally for face-to-face work. You will be comfortable working as part of a dispersed team, requiring you to be significantly self-driven in your work.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Customer Service Manager will be integral to the implementation, training, monitoring, and improvement of the new 5 Star Customer Service model being rolled out across all services within Enable – including but not limited to events, leisure facilities, an arts school, bereavement services, filming, health & wellbeing, parks and community development. • Conduct research and analyse customer feedback and data to identify areas for improvement

• Develop and roll-out relevant training models

Duties and responsibilities

Fundraising

• Support the setting of the charity’s fundraising targets through the research and review of both external and internal fundraising activities.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of the charity’s fundraising activities and campaigns.
• Collate the agreed metrics (including income and expenditure) and report on a weekly basis.
• Participate fully in the generation of fundraising ideas and activity selection.
• Design, prepare and implement the agreed activities and campaigns, which are likely to be varied in nature and might include dedicated fundraising events, grant applications to support families in disadvantaged socio-economic groups, and legacy generation.
• Recommend changes and updates to the activities and campaigns based on testing and evidenced data.

About the role 

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Bid Manager who can actively craft commercial tender submissions and work with the team to ensure we submit high-quality, winning bids within UK government procurement rules.

We are looking to recruit a talented and self-motivated Senior Business Development Manager to join us in June 2024 on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract.

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Development, this role is essential to driving forward the implementation of Creative United’s business development plans across multiple programme and project strands. Key responsibilities include the planning and delivery of business development activities that build on our existing service offer, responding to the needs of the creative communities that we serve, whether on a local, regional or national basis.

This is a hybrid-working role that involves spending a minimum of 2 days per week at our offices in London. You will have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships through a combination of face to face, telephone and written communications. You will be comfortable working with minimal supervision to plan and coordinate activities that involve the buy-in of other staff and partner organisations. You will be able to inspire and motivate other people to work with you to achieve our shared goals and priorities through effective planning, implementation and evaluation.

Job Title: Social Media Officer

Reporting to: Digital Marketing Manager

Location of work: Flexible. This post holder can be based in our London office or a hybrid approach working from home with office visits as required, we continue to seek to enable flexible and remote working. The role will involve some irregular travel throughout England and Scotland.

Contract type: Ideally full-time, 35 hours per week, although part time / flexible hours may be considered. The role may require occasional evening and weekend work

BACKGROUND

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. Providing breakfast ensures that children start their school day with the energy and nutrition they need to be able to make the most of their morning lessons. Magic Breakfast also undertakes research, and campaigns for long-term solutions to end hunger as a barrier to learning.

JOB PURPOSE

As part of the Brand and Marketing team, the Social Media Officer will lead on social media strategy for the organization, working closely with teams across Magic Breakfast to develop and diversify our presence on social media. Through innovative, compelling content creation the Social Media Officer will raise awareness of our work and the Magic Breakfast brand. The role's aims are to reach and engage new audiences and to strengthen brand advocacy with exisiting target audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop Magic Breakfast social media channels to grow an engaging environment for people with lived experience of childhood morning hunger and our wider supporter network.
• Develop and deliver effective strategies that optimise and grow our social media channels.
• Liase with both Magic Breakfast and corporate partners' design, PR and social media agencies to deliver effective and timely campaigns
• Monitor, improve (through testing and optimisation) and report on the performance and effectiveness of social media content and campaigns
• Write impactful and engaging social posts, sourcing approprtiate imagery and developing video content in collaboration with the Multimedia Producer.

About the Role

As the Supporter Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our engagement strategies to cultivate relationships with our valued Christian* supporters. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will lead initiatives to increase prayer, giving, and church engagement, aligning with our broader objectives. You will manage our Supporter Engagement Co-ordinator, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of our supporter-centric initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive supporter engagement strategy to bolster our supporter base and enhance engagement levels.
• Curate a tailored stewardship journey for major donors and legacy pledges, providing personalised communications and resources to foster continued support.
• Oversee the management of our supporter database/CRM, ensuring compliance with GDPR and all relevant legislation.
• Utilise data analytics to design targeted campaigns and initiatives aimed at expanding our supporter network across various channels and touchpoints.
• Lead church engagement efforts, forging and nurturing connections with local and national churches and networks.
• Collaborate with our Activities and Community Engagement (ACE) Facilitators to enhance engagement within our care homes and housing schemes.
• Drive regular prayer communications, fostering a culture of prayer support through various platforms including our online Prayer Wall.
• Organise and lead supporter-facing events such as exhibitions and conferences to facilitate meaningful interactions with existing and prospective supporters.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and share insights with internal teams to inform strategic decision-making.

About You

• Minimum of three years of experience in the charity or third sector.
• Proven track record in supporter engagement and database management.
• Good understanding of UK GDPR regulations.
• Familiarity with fundraising functions and project management.
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Team player with a reliable and detail-oriented work ethic.

As the Partnerships and Services Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and as such will be a member of the leadership team, to deliver Leaders in Community’s (LiC) work to empower young people and communities to improve quality of life and build a sustainable future in line with the Charity’s vision and mission.
