JOB PURPOSE
UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for an ambitious, proactive, team player who can join us as a Senior Officer, Direct Marketing, within the Individual Giving Team.
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for some of our key donor development activities across direct mail, telemarketing, and digital channels. You will be a confident communicator and experienced project manager.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead on the launch of a new RG proposition and ensure that the onboarding and onward journey is fit for purpose.
- Look for opportunities to thank our donors and communicate impact at key moments.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure we grow our Regular Giving file, through acquisition as well as retention.
- Manage a variety of individual giving fundraising campaigns, from agency briefing, through to launch, meeting six figure campaign targets.
- Work with digital fundraising colleagues to create integrated, multichannel campaigns and an effective, donor-first giving journey.
- Remain flexible and rapidly respond to emergency situations.
- Work with the Data team to identify the best approach to data and segmentation for each project.
- Manage production processes, developing supplier briefs and managing approval stages and end of campaign reviews.
- Manage donor research and mystery shopping as required, using insights to inform creative decisions.
- Manage campaign fulfilment. Monitor responses to identify issues and opportunities.
- From time-to-time support with Donor Care activities if required.
- Ensure cost effective fundraising, manage individual campaign budgets and identify opportunities to improve ROIs.
- Stay up to date with issues affecting displaced & refugee communities, campaigns from international teams and reports from the field. Scope new fundraising themes.
- Share creative and insights with UK colleagues, global markets and HQ, participating in training seminars, workshops and international skill shares where applicable.

Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of communications strategies and campaigns, working with the Trase Communications Lead and subject matter experts.
- Write communications materials including website and social media copy, newsletters and press releases, and proactively investigate relevant opportunities to showcase our work.
- Upload content onto our websites and be responsible for our organisational mailing lists through Mailchimp.
- Coordinate and manage digital channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and digital advertising.
- Track analytics to measure success and present opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development and management of key communications resources for Trase and Global Canopy such as image banks, style guides and service provider lists (e.g. translators and interpreters).
- Raise our profile by supporting our events strategy – working with staff across Global Canopy and the Trase partner organisations on a programme of external and public-facing events, including webinars.

Benefits
Salary: £32,000 full time equivalent. This role sits within Band E on Global Canopy’s remuneration framework.
Nature of contract: Full time, permanent. We are a flexible employer and welcome candidates wishing to work flexibly.
Base: Our office is in Oxford, with flexible home-working arrangements in place. Communications team members are expected to attend monthly meetings in Oxford. Further in-person meetings may be required as needed.
Holidays: 36 days (including bank/public holidays) for discretionary use across the annual leave year. Option to purchase up to an additional 5 days or equivalent of one week’s leave.

About the role
We’re set to launch a new organisational strategy in the autumn, and as part of this, we have ambitious plans to grow both our brand awareness and our income; to support the impact we can have for people affected by breast cancer. We’re recruiting for a senior marketing and communications planning and measurement manager to join the charity’s newly created brand, marketing and communications team and play a critical role in achieving these strategic ambitions. This new role will be pivotal in supporting our ambitions to build brand awareness, drive income and engagement.

The role provides a great opportunity to work with communications channel specialists and marketing stakeholders across the charity, to coordinate and align outputs to our integrated plan. You’ll also act as the key contact to our media agencies, ensuring briefing, optimisation, measurement and evaluation processes are robust.
To work truly cross organisationally, you’ll possess excellent interpersonal and consultative skills and be adept at building and managing positive working relationships with people at all levels. You’ll also have strong project management experience, to support the implementation of new planning processes. And you’ll be experienced in using audience data and insight to develop successful marketing and communications strategies, along with performance data to monitor and maximise impact.

About the team
The Media team strategically leads on both proactive and reactive media, supporting WaterAid’s fundraising, partnerships, brand awareness and political influencing & systems change strategic priorities. The team are responsible for outreach to a range of media in the UK and globally – across traditional, consumer and digital.
The team works with Country Programmes and work on global media outreach with WaterAid Member Offices, operate a 24/7 media hotline and manages areas of reputational risk.
The Media Team consists primarily of 4 functions – News, PR, Celebrity Ambassador, and Global News. The Interim role would manage a team of 11 people and three direct line reports. The Celebrity Ambassador function sits within the team but line management of the Celebrity & Influencer Lead is with the Global & UK Director of Communications.

As Interim you will lead and work with the Media team to explore and encourage new approaches including how we further maximise the digital media landscape.

As the Agency Framework Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing our first procurement framework for agencies, consultants and freelancers, with a remit to maximise value for money, minimise internal transaction costs and deliver maximum impact for the RSPB.
Reporting into the Head of Planning & Delivery, you will also have a dotted line into one of our Senior Programme Managers. This part time role (4 days a week) is within a busy small team representing the residents, workers and students of the City of London. Healthwatch City of London are the independent champion for people who use health and social care services. We’re here to make sure that those running services, put people at the heart of care. Our sole purpose is to understand the needs, experiences and concerns of people who use health and social care services, and to speak out on their behalf. We also work to get services right for the future.
You’ll also be representing our organisation at network meetings across all the various Health and Social Care providers, charity partners and patient groups across North East London.
Role purpose
Working closely with the General Manager and Trustees you will develop and deliver the communications and engagement strategy for the organisation, making sure the patients voice is at the heart of everything we do. You will write monthly newsletters, daily social media posts, organise and manage engagement and information events and produce statutory publications. You will also deliver the volunteer strategy by recruiting and managing a wide-ranging volunteer team and identifying relevant projects which enhance and deliver on Healthwatch City of London objectives.

The Role
This role is to publicise the work of the diocese to clergy, laity, communities and parishioners, and shine a light on their endeavours and successes. The team tells the stories of 808 churches and their communities while supporting the other teams and departments in the diocese in sharing their news and projects.
You will play a key role in delivering on-brand and engaging content and will develop, edit, project manage, design, and copy write communications across a wide range of channels. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop messaging, design, and tone of voice that is appropriate to the audience/channel while ensuring the highest possible editorial standards.
There is occasional weekend and evening working, so some flexibility is essential. Meeting deadlines and prioritising projects will be a core part of this role. The organisation operates a hybrid model, so 60% of your hours will be in the office.
About You
We are seeking someone with established design skills and experience of drafting, writing, proofing, and finalising written content for both online and print purposes. You will be highly organised, technically literate, flexible, and a calm presence in a busy office.
