What you’ll do:
- Strategic development of the digital learning and events portfolio to deliver increased membership participation and global engagement, with consequent income generation (both direct and indirect).

- Global growth and partnerships by building engagement with RCR’s digital learning and events with an appreciation of the diverse needs of segmented target audiences.
- Ensure marketing and sponsorship form key parts of the teams strategies, enabling delegate and income targets to be met.
- Lead and develop a high performing team to keep RCR Learning at the top of its game.

We are looking for a proactive self-starter to sit within a high-performing team working to raise awareness of SSAFA’s support covering Wales, Overseas, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to those in the Armed Forces Community who need it most.
With the ultimate objective being to grow SSAFA’s presence, profile, and identity, the role is responsible for all marcomms activation in the region. The role holder will work to deliver the central Fundraising, Marketing & Communications strategy.
This role reports to the Senior Storytelling Manager with close alignment with colleagues across the marcomms directorate. The marcomms manager will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns and promoting SSAFA’s fundraising initiatives and services across Wales, Overseas locations, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. You’ll identify the areas of greatest impact and cut through, deliver integrated awareness campaigns and secure media coverage of fundraising events. Crucially, you’ll be able to identify stories which resonate with our target audience and write calls to action.
With a heavy focus on media and PR activity, key to the role is building strong relationships and contacts with relevant stakeholders in your region including media representatives, employees, volunteers, and case study beneficiaries.
About the team
The Communications team is a small but dynamic group of individuals with strong skillsets across Public Relations, Storytelling (case studies) and Internal Communications. The team is a mix of ex-forces and civilians, and they are always sharing knowledge and expertise with each other.
You will work closely across all directorates within SSAFA, with a focus in Wales, to garner information and create compelling marcomms campaigns and activities to raise awareness of SSAFA’s work.
About you
You will be a highly motivated and creative communicator with a proven track record of delivering impactful PR and marketing campaigns. As a natural storyteller with strong media instincts, you will excel at securing high-profile coverage and elevating our brand presence. You will be a confident relationship builder, skilled at engaging stakeholders across the region, from media contacts to volunteers and case study beneficiaries. You will also be able to work independently while staying closely aligned with teams across fundraising and communications, demonstrating proactivity and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

In 2024, TAWS was given the opportunity pilot a Surplus Hub Project at Birmingham Wholesale Market, where edible waste food destined for anaerobic digestion can be diverted to human consumption. To purpose of this role is to maximise the amount of surplus food available to the Food Justice Network groups via the Birmingham Wholesale Markets.
Food Redistribution Manager:
You will be working within The Food Justice Network is a network of around 300 independent partner organisations, all of who are providing support across the city. FJN Partners offer a range of services from foodbanks, to community cafes, to community pantries and warm spaces, all delivering vital support to some of Birmingham's most vulnerable citizens.
Your role will be the sourcing and procuring farming surplus and collective buying of fresh produce for the Food Justice Network. Part of this opportunity will be facilitating the set-up of a city-wide network to make surplus food redistribution more coordinated and effective.
There is already a significant amount of surplus food redistributed across the city and lots of work going on in terms of reducing waste in businesses but we know that sometimes unexpected surplus food arises and not every food business is plugged in to the surplus food network.
Alongside the core of the role, you will also be managing two to three people who you will be working in conjunction with but on separate projects.
This will provide less reasons for businesses to waste food with a strong, well connected and promoted network.

As part of your role, you will:
- Negotiate collective purchasing of fresh produce to reduce food waste.
- Build relationships with growers to redistribute food through the Food Justice Network and beyond, while identifying and improving local surplus food donation processes.
- Coordinate surplus food collection and collaborate with the Food Justice Network Engagement Officer for effective distribution.
- Partner with Xcess, a national surplus food network, to oversee haulage of surplus food into Birmingham.
- Support the development of a city-wide network to improve coordination collaboration and efficiency in surplus food redistribution.
- Work closely in partnership with and provide cover for the Surplus Food Lead at the Markets.
- Produce comms and improve relationships with potential local sources of surplus food in Birmingham.
- Lead, support, and develop a team of three, conducting regular 1:1s and performance reviews in line with company values.
- Manage workloads and resource planning to ensure team efficiency and delivery against departmental goals.
- Handle day-to-day people management issues, including absence, performance, and development.

We are looking to appoint a new Head of Fundraising and Communications to lead a very capable, motivated and collaborative team and provide strategic leadership to develop an integrated approach between fundraising, communications and athletes/alumni engagement.
Over the last two years we have developed a new fundraising strategy, new partnership models and won an incredibly exciting strategic partnership opportunity that will deliver impact for 60,000 young athletes. You will be instrumental in taking the strategy forward and push our income and impact even further.
Your focus will be on:
· Building community fundraising and alumni engagement and support the implementation of corporate partnerships plans
· Ensuring the fundraising team are fully equipped with the tools they need: a strong case for support, accurate financial and impact reports, consistent and engaging brand and communication assets
· Leading on the development of a new SportsAid communications and digital strategy, so it has a comprehensive narrative for SportsAid, translated into key messages that underpin the charity’s aims and objectives.
· Support, coach and manage a strong, collaborative and motivated team of five
Does this sound like you?
· You are a confident, empathetic and experienced leader. You have the courage to advocate and drive for change and influence at the highest level of the organisation and you are also self-aware and committed to listening, inclusion and well-being
· Over 5 years’ experience as fundraising leader in the charity sector, either a head of an income stream or as a Head of Fundraising
· A track record of setting and meeting seven figures income targets as part of a multi-faceted fundraising strategy
· Substantial experience of developing an integrated approach between fundraising, communications and beneficiary engagement.
· Specialist expertise in community fundraising and or alumni engagement
· Knowledge of marketing and communication principles and practice, digital marketing, and social media
The salary is £65,000-£70,000 p.a. based on your experience and opportunities for flexible working are available.

The Role
We are excited to be recruiting a new Trusts and Grants Manager and are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated individual to operationalise and deliver a refreshed trusts and grants strategy at Penny Brohn UK.
This is a key role within our High Value Fundraising Team, with responsibility for managing the full trusts and grants portfolio, from smaller awards (c. £5,000) through to significant high-value grants (typically £10,000 and above). The postholder will lead on developing a strong funder pipeline, submitting high-quality applications and reports, stewarding funders, and maximising income across the programme.
The successful candidate will initially hold sole responsibility for the trusts and grants income stream, with support from the Head of Fundraising and Communications. However, depending on income growth over the first 12–18 months, there may be an opportunity to expand the team and recruit a Trusts and Grants Officer to support delivery, which would bring a future line management element to the role.
This role would suit someone who has previously managed an income stream within a smaller charity environment, or an experienced Trusts and Grants Officer who is looking to take the next step into a management-level position.

- Have a proven track record of securing grants from trusts and foundations across a range of values.
- Be confident in writing persuasive, high-quality funding applications and reports.

About the role
In this new and pivotal role, you will lead efforts to grow awareness, engagement, and income generation through a vibrant network of volunteer-led branches across Northern England. As the primary point of contact and support for these branches, you'll play a vital role in empowering volunteers and fostering a sense of community and belonging throughout the region.

About the team
With the support of the Regional Manager – Casework and Community Engagement, this role plays a key part in establishing, coordinating, and leading a team of Community Engagement Volunteers across Northern England.

The Operations Manager leads all BucksVision’s operational activities, including service delivery, financial processing and communications.

- Be the operational lead for BucksVision, managing service delivery, office administration, internal and external communications, and financial processing.
- Day-to-day management of the office and administrative duties ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place whilst inquisitive to seek out and implement areas for continuous improvement.
- Deliver strong line management responsibilities to one Administrator and deputise for the Chief Executive in their absence.
- Responsible for the management of BucksVision’s CRM system (Beacon)
- Manage the financial administration and processing of the charity, including invoicing, payments and payroll, and work with the financial auditors to ensure information is accurate and provided in a timely manner during the audit of annual accounts.
- Manage all internal and external communications to staff and stakeholders, including marketing and publicity materials such as BucksVision’s quarterly newsletter, website and social media.
- Proactively work with local organisations and partners to raise awareness of BucksVision’s services, through presentations, community events and other profile-raising activities.
- Responsible for dealing with customer queries, resolving these in a timely and effective manner, with excellent standards of customer service.
- Responsible for monitoring and reviewing operational activities, ensuring the services deliver results as planned.
- Provide operational support to the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees.

Are you an experienced paid digital expert who is also passionate about nature? We're looking for someone to join our membership marketing team and deliver income-generating recruitment campaigns.
You will have proven expertise of managing the delivery of paid search, social and display advertising using a range of targeting techniques including macro demographic and internet-based targeting, as well as micro audience segmentation-based targeting and re targeting techniques. You will manage the media agency at delivery level to ensure this activity is planned and monitored closely and optimised regularly to maximise impact and ROI.
You will also work alongside direct marketing managers to integrate with paid offline and DM/EM campaigns and with the website team to optimise conversion across the join journey.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and Finance:
- To carry out and contribute to the fundraising strategy
- Write comprehensive and compelling funding applications to Trusts and Foundations, tailoring them to meet a range of criteria
