As our Digital Marketing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing Manager and broader team in volunteer and school recruitment efforts, while managing our social media presence. Your primary responsibilities will include managing and curating content for Action Tutoring's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok.

Duties and responsibilities
• Responsibility for managing Action Tutoring’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and YouTube). • Manage our national digital adverts (such as Indeed, CharityJobs, Do-It). Respond to any direct enquiries sent through these and other digital platforms, including the Volunteer Facebook Group and Google business.
• Identify national digital advertising opportunities for volunteer and school marketing, and support with content for regional adverts. Work with the Marketing Manager to analyse impact and decide where our budget is best spent.
• Support the day to day management of Action Tutoring’s website, editing content with updates upon request. Support with creating high quality, engaging content for the Action Tutoring website to ensure it’s optimised.
• Create external marketing materials on request and support with ad-hoc visual design work.
• Support with the attendance at volunteering promotion events, mainly university fairs.

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. About the role

As Project Officer you will play a central role in the delivery of INTRAC’s consultancy assignments and grant funded projects. Key responsibilities ​

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will:​​

• Work on the development of technical frameworks, guidelines, standards, certification or audit processes relevant for implementing regulation for children’s rights in the digital environment at international, EU and UK levels. This includes representing 5Rights in technical meetings and working groups, such as at the IEEE and CEN-CENELEC.​

• Work to promote and support the uptake of these standards by the tech industry, including by working with industry associations, chambers of commerce and tech companies directly.​

• Lead our work to gather technical evidence on company compliance with regulation for children in the UK and EU.​

• Identify cases of non-compliance, develop argumentation and engage with companies and regulators for remedy, with legal support as necessary.​

• Work to promote compliance, by supporting public accountability for non-compliance and positive visibility of best practice.​

• Lead our work to raise awareness and stimulate action of industry stakeholders, notably advertisers and investors.​

• Liaise with technologists and experts around the world, exchanging knowledge and staying up to date on the latest developments, research and emerging issues.​

• Oversee the 5Rights Research Officer, research projects and evidence-gathering programmes.​

Person specification​

You’ll be a confident and skilled researcher, a clear, fresh thinker, and an excellent writer. High attention to detail, an eye for nuance, and the ability to digest complex information quickly and communicate it coherently are all musts. A background in technology issues or children’s rights is preferable, but not essential. • In depth knowledge of the technology regulatory landscape from the perspective of privacy, consumer protection or child rights;​

Remuneration and details​

Camphill Village Trust is a UK charity that supports over 600 adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues, and complex needs across nine communities and services in England through supported living and day placement opportunities.

A significant aspect involves managing the Charity’s IT hardware and software to ensure they meet the organisation's needs, including planning upgrades and coordinating IT training events. Additionally, the role covers managing telecommunications and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. It also involves working closely with the Head of Finance and external companies on new IT developments and data protection policies, ensuring the Charity's practices align with GDPR and other regulatory requirements.
