About the role

Through our three charities, we work in partnership with the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust to deliver world class care.
Crucial to this is the energy and focus we bring to ensuring charitable donations are utilised as effectively as possible through the Guy’s Cancer Charity, the Evelina London Children’s Charity and the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity. You will work in our Trust Engagement team, which is responsible for developing projects with colleagues at the Trust, making grants to deliver those projects and managing those grants on an ongoing basis. We also manage many donations for specific Trust services, which are held in our special purpose funds and disbursed through partnerships with Trust staff.
You will play a central role in ensuring the positive impact of our grant making and special purpose funds for patients and staff at the Trust and will work closely with our Funding Managers to support our funding processes and the design and delivery of projects across our three charities.
You will also work closely with colleagues in our Fundraising, Evidence and Impact, Finance and Operations and Communications teams as well as colleagues across the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
This role has huge potential for an ambitious, energetic and self-starting professional to have a significant impact on the lives of patients and staff across the Trust’s hospitals and community sites.
You do not need established expertise in health; but the ability to learn and establish credibility quickly is important.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of grants, advising and guiding applicants and grant holders, with appropriate support from Funding Managers where needed.
- Manage questions and issues on grant or fund expenditure as escalated by the Funding Operations team, or delegated by the Funding Manager.
- Manage initial enquiries from Trust staff, responding to potential applicants and progressing ideas as agreed.
- Support the Business Manager to co-ordinate Committee meetings for all three Charities, including liaison with applicants and progressing meeting actions.
- Build strong relationships with the Fundraising and Communications teams, supporting robust information flow between the teams.
- Build strong relationships with grant holders, Special Purpose Fund holders and other Trust contacts, helping to raise the profile of our three Charities and spot opportunities to develop and fund work.
- Become familiar with the Charities’ Special Purpose Funds (SPFs), supporting annual requests for spending plans, coordinating approvals, and responding to queries from fundholders.
- Develop and manage a process to monitor fundraising income into SPFs and allocation of restricted donations.
- Work with the Trust Engagement Business Manager to design reporting that enables robust pipeline and grant management, and supports monitoring and evaluation.
- Support improvement projects as needed, such as improvements to funding schemes, funding operations or business systems.

What the job involves
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, people-orientated Microsoft SQL data expert to join an established data function at one of the most dynamic and fastest growing charities in the UK.
Data powers the insight we make decisions by and drives the way we are building long term relationships with our customers – from service users to fundraisers, from campaigners to volunteers. As an organisation, we are transforming our culture to be data and insight driven and this role will play a major part in making that happen.
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases that support our business applications and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL programming, and database performance optimisation.
Working alongside our solutions architect, you’ll be responsible for the development and management of our data import processes by managing and onboarding new data feeds through our bespoke ETL tool, the Message Broker. You’ll be focused on developing and translating business reasoning into data transformation. You’ll act as a key conduit between teams – ensuring new functionality is rolled out effectively to become business as usual. Find the best ways of importing and validating customer data, so we can build long term relationships with our customers and keep them coming back for more. You’ll get involved at the briefing stage and see it through to delivery of data, championing security, governance, quality and accuracy at every step along the way.
This is role is currently seconded to the Technology Directorate, working on the delivery of the charity’s key IT systems such as the current migration from Raisers Edge 7 to Raisers Edge NXT CRM.

About the role
As our Senior Marketing Executive – Retail, you’ll support the development and design of highly effective marketing campaigns for our extensive retail estate to attract more people to donate stock and support our cause.
From insight to campaign development through to execution and evaluation, you’ll develop, deliver, and evaluate integrated, multi-channel donor marketing campaigns to support British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) strategic objectives and drive stock generation donations.
In this role, you’ll also work closely alongside our colleagues in Retail as well as our Commercial Engagement team playing an active role in developing the donor experience and anticipating the next big things for stock generation & partnerships within the charity retail space.
Working arrangements
This a fixed term contract covering family leave until Oct 2025. We hope to start someone in the role by Aug 2024.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office.

About you
With a background in retail, working within the charity sector or a large household brand, you bring a proven track record of delivering marketing activity through a range of channels and creative formats, including digital, social and in-store.
With high levels of numeracy, strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, you bring project, and agency management experience, and a detailed knowledge of retail and marketing communications.
You have previous line management experience, as well as strong financial and budgetary skills, including experience managing expenditure budgets, monitoring, and reporting.
A confident self-starter, keen collaborator, and team player, you have strong influencing and negotiating skills, the ability to work with multiple teams and projects simultaneously, and an open and approachable working style.

What the job involves
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team focused on driving change and providing education to health professionals across UK health services to end variation in access to support and treatment for men with prostate cancer.
You’ll be responsible for the leadership, governance and operational management of four teams; Education, Improvement Programmes, Black Health Equity Engagement and Policy and Health Influencing; and their work programmes – ensuring collaboration and innovation across teams and functional boundaries to deliver Prostate Cancer UK’s business plan and strategy.
You'll oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across locations, ensuring an integrated approach to change priorities, including public awareness, clinical education, and stakeholder influencing. You'll drive strategic plans to improve health and care pathways across the UK, grow clinical leadership, and support political engagement. You'll champion efforts to tackle health inequalities, strengthen community engagement, and influence policy changes. Ensuring our work reflects the perspectives of those affected by prostate cancer, you'll focus on delivering maximum impact. You'll promote collaboration, maintain high-quality data, and support strategic goals while coaching your team to excel.

The creative services lead is an instrumental role in our Brand and Marketing team, working with colleagues across the organisation to deliver best in class, inclusive creative work, championing efficiency and collaboration. They will ensure the timely delivery of strategic brand and marketing projects, which will have the biggest impact in supporting the charity to achieve our vision of a world where all pets are well cared for in loving homes for life. They are responsible for reviewing briefs, scheduling and resourcing effectively, developing forecasting tools for allocating creative resource, and ensuring the correct technical skillset is assigned to each project.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure all stages of projects from conception to completion are managed and met according to the brief, budget, resource and deadline deliverables.
· Provide guidance to executive leadership team on the sequencing, alignment and governance of multiple organisational wide projects optimising budget, time and resources.
· Support teams to refine briefs as needed, review against the charities priorities and objectives.
· Work closely with creative and content, marketing, comms and digital teams to book the relevant resource (internal and external) and skillsets to deliver against each brief.
· Work with existing systems to log projects, project history, manage schedules and client expectations, including ensuring all work is approved by the brand and creative content manager.
· Monitor resource and projects across teams, conduct cost/benefit analysis and share regular reports with senior leaders on key team metrics with actionable recommendations for future projects.
· Make recommendations and implement changes to ways of working to improve efficiency and creative output.
· Work across multiple projects, ensuring all parties are informed of progress and challenges.
· Build relationships with stakeholders in order to understand their requirements and use this effectively to plan multiple work-streams and projects, balancing creative needs and Woodgreen’s objectives.
· Provide leadership to teams, sharing skills and expertise and identify and implement opportunities for upskilling.
· Manage spend across all external suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money, regularly reporting on budgets and forecasting.
· Manage the print production process, including writing print specs, sourcing competitive quotes, managing a roster of suppliers and keeping abreast of the latest print technologies.
Person Specification:
· Extensive proven experience of project and account management.
· Substantial experience of working in a team that works across multichannel projects varying in size and scale.
· Significant experience working in a creative or brand-based environment.
· Substantial experience of the creative process from start to finish.
· Substantial experience of managing external relationships specifically with agencies, freelancers and production companies.
· Advanced knowledge of all marketing channels, both on and offline.
· Ability to manage multiple project deliverables and competing priorities.
· Managing projects from exploring the full potential of each brief through the creative process to completion including post project evaluation.
· Communicate matters of logistics and scheduling to all stakeholders clearly, ensuring all areas of remit/responsibility are understood and agreed.
