We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, skilled and passionate Project Development Manager to join our England Project Management team, working primarily in the South of England. 

The England Project Management Team manage all sorts of projects, from species recovery at a landscape scale to infrastructure repairs and commercial developments. Each day as a Project Development Manager is different. You might find yourself chairing a project team meeting one day, visiting a construction site the next, and negotiating with contractors the day after that.

As a Project Development Manager, you will directly manage some of the most ambitious and complex projects within the RSPB. At the same time, you will work closely with the Operations Director and Area Managers in the Southern region to develop a pipeline of projects across the South, and make sure they’re being well-managed.

Our project teams include colleagues from a range of disciplines as well as external consultants and suppliers. You’ll need to be able to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders and motivate others to get things done to keep projects progressing smoothly.

Key activities will include:

• Develop and manage one or more complex projects at any one time. To include budget management, stakeholder management, risk management, contractor procurement and other tasks as required. 
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project success by focusing on a common goal. 
• Develop and oversee a pipeline of projects that contribute to delivery against strategic priorities, working with regional/country management teams. 
• Provide support & advice to the regional /country management team to enable them to use the PMF effectively to deliver strategic priorities and successful projects (including ensuring project assurance is in place).

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and highly organised individual to support the religious advisory services at Manchester Community Centre. This is an administrative and coordination role, helping individuals and families to access appropriate guidance from the Centre’s qualified religious advisors. The Operations Manager is a senior leadership role with Home-Start Wandsworth, responsible for overseeing the operational effectiveness of the organisation.  They will work closely with the Managing Director, and other members of the leadership team, to ensure the success and long term sustainability of the charity.

Theatres Trust is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team of sector specialists in the new role of Advice and Programmes Manager.

The Advice and Programmes Manager will take a leading role in helping to create, protect, and adapt theatres across the UK for the benefit of communities, audiences, and artists.

Working across our Theatre Buildings and Theatre Management portfolios, the postholder will help deliver our Theatres Advice Service, which provides bespoke strategic advice and guidance to key stakeholders including theatre operators, theatre managers, and local authorities, as well as community and campaign groups working to bring theatres back into public use.

The General Manager of DPA will be responsible for supporting the development of DPA, driving the company forward, raising the profile, reach, and impact of the work, and ensuring the viability and effective operations of DPA.

Our General Manager is a key member of Different Planet Arts small staff team. Working closely with the Artistic Director and the Board of Trustees as part of the Senior Management Team, you will manage and organise operational support for Different Planet arts programme, ensuring we provide an excellent service to our participants, partners and audiences.

This role is suitable for someone building a career in operations. We are looking for someone who can maintain and provide the right systems and structures to enable others to lead and create our arts projects, and provide ongoing, efficient admin, managerial and fundraising support.

You will manage and be responsible for our systems and processes for financial administration, fundraising, governance procedures and processes, monitoring and keeping the Different Planet Arts office running day-to-day as an administrative hub. You will work closely with our treasurer (who is responsible for creating quarterly Management Accounts.)

Role: General Manager  

Reports to: Artistic Director & Board of Trustees 

Salary: £190 per day, 3 days a week for 48 weeks of the year

Contract: This is a rolling freelance position initially for 6 months to be extended subject to securing future funding

Hours: Preferably 3 days (22.5 hours) a week, 1.5 days at our office in Lewes.

Management Responsibilities

• Support and implement the artistic, business, and strategic planning of DPA, in consultation with the Artistic Director, Board of Trustees, and stakeholders.
• Drive relationships with key stakeholders and funders
• Cultivate a supportive climate of creativity, innovation, and risk-taking in DPA's work
• Ensure DPA remains solvent and able to meet its commitments as outlined in the Three Year Plan
• Lead the fundraising strategy and portfolio at DPA and develop new and diverse fundraising initiatives
• Lead the processes and procedures of governance of DPA both internally with trustees and with external agencies.
• Manage DPA's financial operations, ensuring accurate budgets and reports for staff, board, auditors and funders
• Develop and operate the most efficient administrative processes and systems to support the smooth delivery of DPA's work.
• Ensure DPA's organisation and activities comply with the requirements of Charities Commission and Companies House. Act as DPA's principal interface to these bodies
• Ensure governance, HR policies, and practices are reviewed and updated to deliver a safe working environment and compliance with employment law

Job Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

• A minimum of three years' experience in management and administrative in an arts, or charity organisation or as a company manager in theatre

• Experience of financial processes, including budget management & monitoring

• Understanding of HR policy, processes and best practice

• Experience of securing resources, including making successful funding proposals and grant applications

• Experience of managing office systems, including IT systems.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing with a wide range of people

• Understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace

• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise

• Ability to develop, maintain and contribute to partnerships involving various stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes

About the role

This is your chance to make your mark as Design and Brand Manager at the Francis Crick Institute one of the world’s most iconic biomedical research centres, home to over 1,500 leading scientists and a large public gallery space with a rolling programme of exhibitions and events.

For 12 months, you’ll be the creative heartbeat of our Digital and Creative team, setting the standard for design excellence across everything from public exhibitions and scientific reports to internal signage and branded campaigns.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role that sits at the creative core of the Crick’s communications. You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing team to shape visual identities for flagship exhibitions and events, lead design projects for branded materials like brochures and reports, and create impactful internal signage and communications.

Central to the role is refreshing and rolling out our brand identity, ensuring it remains bold, relevant, and consistent across all touchpoints. You’ll manage our in-house studio, oversee science illustration and printing services, and build a trusted network of freelancers and agencies to expand our creative capacity. With a deep understanding of how to tailor design for diverse audiences, from scientific peers to the public, you’ll be the go-to expert for visual strategy and execution across the Crick.

The role is ideal for someone with a strong background in design and brand, with a creative flare and is able to identify and seize upon strategic opportunities. It would suit an experienced middleweight designer, ready to step up to a more senior role, or a senior designer looking to take on a new challenge.

What you will be doing

As a Design and Brand Manager at the Crick, you will:

• Produce on-brand, accessible and high-quality design and creative materials which meet the needs of the Crick’s varied audiences.

• Manage the Crick’s visual brand identity – including rolling out our newly refreshed brand identity – ensuring it stays fresh, relevant and consistent.

• Develop and implement internal processes for teams across the Crick.

• Manage design projects from concept to completion.

• Oversee the work of agencies and freelancers who are producing design and creative assets, from initial briefing to obtaining final sign-off.

• Produce and maintain a contact base of agencies and suppliers who can produce high-quality design work in accordance with our brand guidelines

• Be the Crick’s go-to for best practice in creativity and design, advising teams across the Crick with their creative output.

• Horizon scan for latest updates and innovations in design tools and practice in order to formulate and incorporate best-practice into our processes and templates.

• Continually evaluate our design and creative output, seeking out, absorbing and incorporating feedback into our outputs and processes.

About you

You will have:

• Demonstrable experience at middleweight or senior designer level – in-house, freelance or agency;*

• Strong understanding of design and brand principles – typography, colour, layout etc.

• A portfolio of original, engaging and creative ideas developed within a professional environment for successful brand design projects across various media that demonstrate an eye for detail, creativity and experience of art direction;*

• Demonstrable experience of managing, championing and maintaining a consistent brand identity within a professional environment;*

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;

• Experience of managing creative production workflows and sign-off processes;

Since 2017, WOW has supported hundreds of local women from predominantly Global Majority communities through holistic training and pathways into work programme.

WoW delivers a blend of life and vocational skills training, promoting general employability and improved wellbeing through work experience placements, internships, job brokerage, practical advice on self-employment and micro-businesses, ESOL classes and more. The ideal candidate will have experience of running successful major fundraising appeals to large audiences. They will have the ability to draft persuasive and accurate copy to support both fundraising and stewardship literature. The Development and Alumni Relations Office leads the process of generating long-term and consistent voluntary income for Merchant Taylors’ School, and forrunning a comprehensive alumni and parental relations programme.

The Development Manager (Fundraising and Stewardship) will be responsible for planning, managing and having an input to the strategy for a regular giving programme at Merchant Taylors’ School, with a focus on increasing the participation (giving rates) of both our alumni and parental constituencies, as well as donor retention through planning and executing a stewardship programme for benefactors of all levels. Some face-to-face fundraising may also be required, particularly relating to legacy fundraising and the post-holder will build a portfolio of mid-level donors they will manage.
