Job description
Community Fundraising Manager

£36,750 - £39,500 per annum
35 hours per week (4-day week considered for the right candidate)
Home-based in Manchester, Liverpool or the surrounding area
12-month fixed-term contract

Do you have significant community fundraising experience and a passion for building meaningful relationships that make a lasting difference?

We're recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a leading national charity that is investing in a new regional fundraising approach. This role will play a key part in strengthening local community engagement, developing long-term supporter relationships and helping to shape an innovative fundraising pilot with national reach.

Working across the North West, you'll develop and grow a portfolio of supporters including individuals, community groups, clubs, societies and local businesses. Through outstanding relationship management and supporter stewardship, you'll help generate sustainable income and build lasting connections with the charity.

Alongside this, you'll lead on a high-profile regional partnership pilot, working directly with local retail colleagues and community champions to increase engagement, fundraising activity and awareness. As one of a small number of regional roles introduced as part of the pilot, you'll have the opportunity to influence and shape how the programme develops in the future.

You'll also provide line management and support to one fundraiser, helping them develop their skills, achieve their objectives and deliver excellent results.

We're particularly interested in hearing from people who have:
  • Significant community fundraising experience
  • Experience building long-term relationships with new supporters and growing income
  • A track record of delivering against targets, budgets and KPIs
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The confidence and ability to support, coach and develop others
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work independently
  • Experience identifying opportunities, testing new ideas and adapting activity to maximise results

What's on offer
  • The chance to play a key role in an exciting new fundraising pilot
  • A varied role combining relationship fundraising, partnership development and people management
  • Flexibility through home-based working
  • The opportunity to help shape the future of a growing community fundraising programme
  • The support of an ambitious, collaborative and high-performing fundraising team

Please note:Candidates must be based within easy reach of Manchester, Liverpool or the surrounding area. Regular travel across the region is required, including occasional evening and weekend work. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced community fundraiser, or someone looking to take their first step into managing people, to make a genuine impact while helping to shape an exciting new way of engaging supporters locally.

We want you to have every opportunity to demonstrate your skills, ability and potential; please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustment so that we can help with making the application process work for you.
