We are a young and thriving charity providing education about healthy and unhealthy behaviours so that young people have the knowledge and skills to avoid abuse and thrive in their relationships. We work in schools, community organisations and workplaces across London.
LMK is growing at pace and we are ambitious in our plans for the future. We’ve already engaged 15,000 young people and professionals in our workshops in our first 4 years and we want to reach 10,000 young people per year by 2025-26.

Job Purpose
The purpose of the Programme Coordinator is co-ordinate with all parties (Community Engagement Manager, the Programme Manager, LMK Leaders and the host organisations) to enable LMK to deliver high quality workshops for young people/youth work professionals/workplaces.
Acting as the lynchpin of the organisation’s delivery team, the Programme Coordinator takes the workshop brief from the LMK Community Engagement Manager and then works with the Programme Manager to secure facilitators (LMK leaders), ensures the host organisation receives all supporting information, and provides LMK Leaders with the resources they need to deliver the workshop effectively. This role is also responsible for regular reporting about workshop bookings and delivery.
Reporting to our CEO, the successful candidate will be part of LMK’s core staff team. You will work with LMK staff, LMK Leaders, members of our Youth Advisory Board, trustees and key stakeholders to develop and implement our long-term strategy.
Key responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service to organisations who are hosting LMK workshops, ensuring that all communication is timely and accurate, and any questions are responded to in full.

Liaise with the Programme Manager and LMK Leaders to ensure there is clear understanding around their areas of expertise, availability and any specific considerations that need to be taken into account when delivering workshops.

Open up opportunities to deliver workshops to any Leader applicable, ensuring the allocation of workshops is done fairly and consistently.

Ensure LMK leaders have the information and resources required to deliver their workshop.

Work closely with the Research and Evaluation Manager to ensure that the correct evaluation surveys are made available to workshop participants.

Work with our Head of Fundraising to track workshop delivery against funder commitments.

Keep the CRM system data up to date in a timely way.

Produce regular reports for the CEO on the booking and delivery of workshops, as well as any ad-hoc reports requested.

Share Leader evaluation feedback from workshops with Leaders.

Check invoices submitted by LMK leaders, and work with the Programme Manager to get them approved.

Support the Programme Manager to organise LMK Leader Huddles and training events.

Person specification

At least 2 years’ experience in an event management/admin management/executive assistant/operations role where there was a strong requirement to work with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.

Job Title: Finance Officer

Principal Location:London, hybrid with a minimum of 3 and an expectation of 4 days in the office per week.

Street Child believes that every child deserves the chance to go to school and learn. Our projects focus on a combination of education, child protection and livelihood support to address the social, economic and structural issues that underpin today’s education crisis. We partner with local organisations and communities to deliver our locally rooted programmes, using evidence to drive learning and the refinement and scale up of programmes to create maximum impact for the most children at the lowest cost. We pride ourselves on being willing to go to the world’s toughest places where others won’t, including remote, hard-to-reach areas and fragile, disaster-affected states across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Since 2008 we have helped over 250,000 children to go to school and learn and supported over 25,000 families to set up businesses so they can afford the cost of educating their children.
Part 1: Role Purpose:
This role is a key member of the busy HQ finance function. Although the role is primarily focused on the HQ finances, the role operates within the context of Street Child as a global charity and so also has interaction with the global finance team. The role offers the chance to work across a number of finance functions, and some of the subsidiary charities. It is essential that the applicant can juggle the complexities of a busy role with has varied work priorities. Key stakeholders are the HQ Finance Manager, Finance Director and the HQ based fundraising team. The role works alongside the Finance Assistant and plays a role in oversight and coaching of this role.
Part 2: Key Responsibilities:
1) (40%) Deliver all functions related to Accounts Receivable
- Ensure that all income from a variety of different sources is correctly and accurately recorded in the finance system and CRM (which is under development) on a weekly basis.
- Supporting with work on accounts receivable including accessing, downloading and saving in a systematic manner reports from donor portals, bank account and other sources.
- Working with colleagues in Fundraising to analyse and code income reports in Excel and uploading it to the Finance system on a timely basis, at least weekly. Following up on how to code any income which is not allocated to a source.
- Working closely with colleagues in Fundraising to ensure prompt collection of outstanding balances from customers, and sending out monthly debtor balance statements.
- Raising donor invoices and requests for payments, and issuing donor receipts.
- Income and customer account reconciliations and revaluations.
- Any other responsibilities relating to Accounts Receivable.
2) (20%) Lead the Accounts Payable process
- Whilst the Finance Assistant is responsible for all payments, the Finance Officer has a lead role in ensuring that all invoices are paid on time, in an efficient manner and that the finance system reflects the transactions within the correct accounting period and correctly coded in the system – including account code, cost centre, project code and donor code.
- Determine most efficient payment platform to process international payments, and ensure that recorded in the finance system at the correct conversion rate.
- Be a point of contact with the Foreign exchange agents to quickly resolve any questions.
- Work with the Finance Assistant to ensure accurate and timely recording of all approved supplier invoices, requisitions, staff expenses and other expenditure in the accounting system and that all supporting documentation for all transactions are uploaded.
- Managing at least two payment runs a week and additional runs as required; ensuring that all invoices for payment are correctly approved by the budget holder, setting up payments on online banking platforms and sending out requests for payment approvals to payment authorisers and verifying that all payments are fully approved in the banking platforms by the deadline set.
- Once the payment is made, allocating the payment against the invoices in the Finance system.
- Reviewing staff expense claims to ensure that all supporting documentation is provided before payment.
- Managing monthly staff credit card reconciliations and ensure that these are returned on time with all receipts and invoices and checking and reviewing classifications, with follow up as required.
- Carry out monthly Creditor account reconciliations ensuring that all balances are valid and backed up with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Fully deliver the set up all payroll payments in time for the monthly pay day. This involves ensuring correct amount and currency of payment (which may differ from the salary of the individual’s employment contract) and method of payment across all HQ staff.
- Any other responsibilities relating to Accounts Payable.
3) (40%) Month end reporting and reconciliation and subsidiary accounts
- Complete all balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and petty cash reconciliations and submit for approval by HQ Finance Manager.
- Once CRM system is in place, undertake reconciliation processes between finance data and CRM data.
- Carry out monthly revaluations of bank accounts.
- Ensuring supporting information for transactions is correctly stored in electronic format on Teams such as bank statements, remittance advices, credit statements.
- Assist in preparation of internal reports, including working with Operations Department and Finance department to review their monthly reports.
- Take responsibility to deliver the management accounts of two subsidiary companies: Children in Crisis and HQ transactions of Africa Educational Trust.
- Compile information for Gift Aid returns.
- General support and assistance to the team including administrative duties and managing the office post.
- Other ad hoc support to the wider operations team as may be required.
- Audit: support with the year end audit and provision of supporting information to auditors.

A project has been established that is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. One key aspect of this project is the ‘Shades Project’, which focuses on racial justice and faith, supporting schools and churches in developing a culture for all children and young people, regardless of racial background, to thrive and flourish. In response to the exciting growth of the Shades Project, they are looking to appoint a Shades Project Worker to support the growing opportunities for Christian discipleship and to embed the Shades ethos in primary and secondary schools and parishes in Bolton deanery.
The Shades Project Worker will work with the Shades team in primary and secondary schools, delivering Shades Collective Worship and Shades ‘Faith and Identity’ workshops. They will also lead Shades Ambassadors groups for those children and young people who are passionate about growing in their understanding of racial justice, the Christian faith, and becoming courageous advocates. The Shades Project Worker will also work with Bolton parishes and mission communities to promote the Christian message of God’s love for all of his children, encouraging children, young people, and adults to celebrate their God-given identities and to grow spiritually.
The Shades Project Worker will have many opportunities for training and development, as well as the creative freedom to develop initiatives for children and young people. They will work within a highly motivated and supportive team, who are committed to prayer and to welcoming children and young people into the life of the church.
The post holder should have experience of volunteering with children or young people in a church and/or school context. They will have a good knowledge of anti-racism and racial justice and a strong passion for a combined focus on the Christian faith and racial justice, as well as experience working with diverse communities.
To succeed, they need to be enthusiastic, relational, self-motivated, and able to lead in a range of different contexts. They will be creative and able to lead and support activities in schools and parishes. Job summary
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Education Coordinator, passionate about community-based learning to join our small and friendly team. The Education Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery and development of all aspects of the work of the adult and family learning programme and will have the opportunity to develop other provision at the centre. Our adult learning programme supports over 250 local adults each year through a range of programmes designed to improve their English language, digital and maths skills and increase their employability and involvement in the community. Our family learning programme supports over 200 children with online after-school classes in Maths, English and Science. You would also be responsible for coordinating 6 teachers remotely to deliver weekly online after-school classes for Year 3 to Year 9 in all three subjects. We also deliver a range of informal family learning provision across our Family Programme services to over 1000 users, and some of these programmes may be included in our Adult Education offer and so you will be required to support with the administration of these activities.
The Education Coordinator will be based at our centre at 2 Thorpe Close W10 5XL and will have responsibility for working with the heads of departments, tutors and education administrator, to plan and deliver the learning programme. The successful candidate will have a full UK teaching qualification in the Further Education sector, and delivery of FSE/ESOL at various levels would be desirable; have excellent leadership and inter-personal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; be highly organised and efficient.
The salary is £33,500 per annum and in addition to bank holidays we offer 25 days’ annual leave, additional Christmas time leave, a pension scheme, cycle to work scheme and a comprehensive training programme.
